I came across a really interesting product today on Indiegogo which is the uncharted rapid raft from Uncharted Supply Co. You may remember Uncharted supply co is pretty well known for their 72 hour survival kit. Anyways this product is currently in the pre order phase and there’s a link in the description below in case you want to learn more.
The Uncharted Rapid Raft is a pack raft that is capable of holding up to 400 pounds and it packs down to roughly the size of a loaf of bread and weighs just 3 pounds making it the lightest pack raft available. This raft was designed based on the military requirement for rapid water crossing but its really a product that anyone can use. This is considerably lighter and smaller all other pack rafts I’ve seen and it’s small enough and light enough to take backpacking, especially if you need to do any water crossings and don’t want to get all of your gear wet.. When packed down it measures 15” long and roughly 5” diameter. It’s also great for fishing and camping trips and it can also be handy for emergency situations like hurricanes and flooding.
This raft doesn't require any special tools or even a hand pump to inflate. All you need to do is unroll it and move it swiftly through the air to fill it up. Then fold down the clasps and you’re good to go. It does come with a small top up valve which you can use to give it a little extra air. It has a very similar design to dry bags you might take in a kayak or boat.
When the raft is fully inflated its 72” tall and 33 inches wide and its made from a coated polyurethane fabric and its designed to be tough enough to withstand scraping on river bottoms, rocks and debris.

Great for ultralight Backpackers who want water crossing capabilities.. but i cant fathom this meeting any sort of military standerds.

Yeah I think it's excellent for backpackers especially! with regards to military specs, it says " Designed to fulfill a military request for rapid deployment and re-packing for fluid transition to the water..." so whether it actually fulfilled their request or not is rather ambiguous.
