I'm sick and tired of people glorifying the Grand Seiko brand for the past few years they're great watches but they lack a lot too. I'll take this watch over any GS any time any day...
Having handled both GS and IWC I have to say that the finish of GS indices and case are clearly better, also the dials are usually more interesting. In terms of overall design I prefer IWC however. Plus IWC is a bit overlooked in the watch community these days.
Hello, I'm new to watches, I know the movement of this is ETA caliber 7750, but I hear something different from you, something like "Vanshou" 7750? What did you say? i am just enriching my watch knowledge and you sound like an expert :)
Have you tried their pilots watch. Eventhough their printed Arabic numerals look simple, their case construction felt more interesting than the Portugieser.
Hi Adil, unfortunately I never got the chance to handle one of their pilots watches. I will be attending Watches and Wonders in Geneva this March though, hopefully I get my hands on one there.
Ist's a pleasure to watch this beautiful Video! I'm looking forward to the Next!
Many thanks for your lovely comment, next video is coming!
Wonderful scenery and thoughts on the watch!👍
Thanks Jon!

Hey there! Both of us are correct, it is indeed a Valjoux movement, but Valjoux belongs to ETA (and Swatch Group). :)
@@watchesinthewild8276 thank you … I learned something today 😀
@@aniini You‘re welcome!

Christopher Walz is doing watch reviews now?
I fear I‘m not nearly as eloquent :D
@@watchesinthewild8276 you have the same stylish enthusiastic way of speaking. Great review by the way, a very nice looking piece.
That, sir, is very high praise! And yes, it is a great looking piece indeed, among my favorites from IWC.
