  • Thanks for joining me for another episode of "Just The Tip", a series of short tech tips and tricks.
    I find that I make these from time to time to help members in my fly-group or various chats, so I figured I'd better just put them all on UA-cam so others in the hobby can benefit.
    Today's tip is for my OpenTx / EdgeTx pilots who "forgot to setup their OSD"... You know who you are... :)
    Do you just want an audible alert on low voltage conditions, or want to be able to quickly get an automated or manual real time voltage call out from their radio's speakers? This tip is for you!
    I'm revealing some of my OpenTx secrets!! I like "convenience hacks" like these, and I think you guys will too!

    Adding the SD switch to channel 5 in the mixes was unnecessary to make the logical switches and special functions to work. Was there a reason you added that? Is the quad expecting a signal on channel 5?

    • @Rogue_FPV
      @Rogue_FPV  25 днів тому

      Adding SW SD is only necessary if you use Method 1 in the tutorial. If you use Method 2, it is completely unnecessary as you say. You just see it in my Mix screen because I didn't remove it until after I had filmed the whole video. I should have made it more clear that the steps from Method 1 do not need to be done prior to Method 2, but rather a user can choose "either / or". Good Catch!! 👍

    • @shanesdiy
      @shanesdiy 25 днів тому

      @@Rogue_FPV The logical switches and special functions can access the all switches at any time. The switch does not need to be in the mixes (or inputs). All you did by adding SD to the channel 5 mixes was add an outgoing signal on channel 5 to the quad. Wasn't needed for method 1.
