Thanks for the detailed steps: Quick question. conninfo parameter did not have the password specified in repmgr.conf file and there was no .pgpass file setup as part of this demo. How did it clone the sttandby without repmgr user password?

well...this is amazing man. Kudos (yes). But I have one doubt. Can I add 1 extra node on this cluster which is already running? If yes, i need to restart the existing PRIMARY service which may disturb the cluster. Please conform. Thanks!!!!!

@@EMultiSkillsDatabaseServices I have one primary and one standby in place but I got request to establish one more secondary on the same cluster without downtime. Can I follow the same process, I can do it with the minimum downtime, please confirm if my understanding is correct. And thanks to for your reply.

When a Failover happened, how the application will connect to a new primary which is promoted out of a replica and how the application will know that the older replica is now a primary?
