Eh, I had a 2017 Ridgeline, and I'll say you can't even feel the VTEC, you hear it more than anything else. It's not even real VTEC, this has I-VTEC. It's more focused on fuel economy than speed
The ability to put all that power straight into the ground with no loss of traction definitely makes up for the average powered engine. Whats the point in having 400 horsepower if you spin for half a second.
@@zBMatt sure, but it just felt so car like. It didn't drive like a truck at all, tha the interior was really commuter. It has the exact same interior and platform as the Pilot
I had a 2017 Honda Ridgeline. Don't buy these. I sold mine after two transmission leaks because the trans housing was actually crumbling, a new starter after the original one would stick when the car was cold, countless electrical issues, and a keyless start system problem. Oh also 6 months after I bought it, the truck broke down and went into limp home mode on the highway because the rocker arm actuator got stuck open and was dumping oil on the engine. Honda didn't cover it under the powertrain warranty because it was on top of the engine. I bought it with 48k miles. Honda Ridgelines are not great trucks at all. The dual action tailgate was cool, and the trunk is immensely useful, but I dumped so much money into that thing
That sucks and is a terrible experience. FYI for everyone, the 9 speed transmission has been much more reliable, so if you do get a RL make sure it is a 2020 or newer.
Very true. I had one of these that I sold after two transmission leaks, a rocker arm actuator failure that caused it to go into limp home mode, and it got a new starter. Honda stands for Had One Never Did Again
6 seconds is NOT slow at all!
Tha VTEC always sounds amazing
When the vtec kicks in 😮

@@illegalkegels bro said wrong in the most serious way 😂
Closer to 7 seconds, but pretty quick for a midsized pickup truck. Love my 2022.
Yup! Its unibody build does the job

Impressive!
Bro that sounds so siick. Damn :D
What’s your top end ?
That’s crazy for a pickup
"Pickup"
I had one, it's not much of a truck
It’s basically a passport with a bed. Has the exact same motor, interior and design. But yeah still pretty fast for a v6 pickup
It’s awd that’s why
@@Justsomegamergamingandstuff It tows, it hauls, it has a bed, it has off-road capabilities. It's as much of a truck as everything else.

It beats the 2020 tundra 5.7L V8 engine
That thing is fast as blank Boyyyyy......it would smoke my Tacoma. Until we turned off Road
Probably a lot more reliable than a ranger or Colorado too….
Whit it’s 0-60 it’s just 6.8

This is crazy, my 2018 ridgeline was flawless. Zero problems with less than stellar service intervals.
slow
Still faster than your 3 cylinder Hyundai.
Still faster than whatever he drives
Still faster then any of your slow behind cars all combined
I second this
It’s a SHITBOX Honda
No need to hate ford boy😂
