Watch Anna measure, design, and wrap a tumbler in preparation to sublimate in the PNW Press. Quick and easy with only 3 pieces of tape! - Навчання та стиль
As a learner this is the best tumbler video I’ve seen so far.
Oh my goodness thank you so much! I'm happy it helped. This is definitely an older video. I invented the Edgy tumblers that have flat edge bottoms to combat the common white spot sublimationeers get. With the Edgy tumblers you don't have to "bump" the paper up past the curve because there's no curve. :) Feel free to check them out! And again, thank you for the kind words!!!
No no, I’ve watched many videos and couldn’t believe the ‘tape’ overkill. When I watched your video I got it, I really got it. So now I’m your craft stalker!

Omg... I just watched your video and pressed 2 perfect tunblers!tumblers!! After so many with edge issues. Definitely less is more when it comes to tape. Thank you so much!!!!
That's amazing to hear! Thanks so much for sharing :D
You should try our new Edgy tumblers. They have completely flat bottoms for full coverage results! Pnwsub.com available now on Anna and Elena's sites
@@PNWBlanks I will definitely check those out, thanks!!
Thanks for sharing your methods. I have a different press but this method works beautifully 😅 no more white spots or seam lines. I watched all your videos just to make sure I didn’t miss anything to get those perfect tumblers 😂 wish I could have known about this press before purchasing mine
So happy I can help!!! 😊 try out our blanks when you get a chance!
Thank you Anna.
Best video I have found. You rock!
Thanks so much!
This information has really help me with the white spots at the bottom. Thanks
Thank you! Happy to help out!!!
Thank you so much for explaining this so easy.
Happy to help!
I always print my 20oz Skinny Tumbler designs at 3720 Px X 3280 Px
I have a Epsonecho tank 4810 I have the measurement, put the paper width is to short what paper I need for the right wide ??
When placing your Asub paper in the printer, is the writing side up or face down? I have an Epson SureColor F170. Just got it and this is my first time trying. Thanks
It will depend on your printer. Mine is writing side up. There should be a little picture that shows a piece of paper on your printer or printer drawer to guide you :)
I'm thinking about buying an Epson Eco Tank and convert it into a sublimation printer. I need to know what actual print area size I need to make a 30 oz Tumbler. Don't want to order the wrong one. A lot say 8 1/2 x 11 but that doesn't actually mean it will print to the edge. If you know of any printers that will work would love to know. Thanks! LOVE your videos.
Hello, you will need something that prints larger. The wide format printers for Epson ecotank are the 15000 and the 8550. I have an 8550 and it works great! They go on sale often so keep your eye out!
Hi Anna, I bought the pink press in October/November and the got the covid pneumonia, and are just now feeling up to starting it can I still get tech support? I tried my 1st tumblers and the color was so light.😢 can you help? :)

Hello what sub paper u are using and the size???
If u don't mind asking where do u purchase your tumblers from thanks so much and are they 20oz skinny..?
I dont mind at all! You can purchase tumblers on Anna and Elena's sites at pnwsub.com the 20 oz Edgy tumblers are the top-selling tumblers. They have flat bottoms for full coverage, premium coating to produce bright and vibrant results, and twist-on leakproof lids!
Do you mirror the image before printing or do you keep it regular ?
All images are mirrored in sublimation :)
Hey!! New to the sublimation world! I was wondering if you could tell me, what sublimation essentials a beginner should use? Also, I've heard you need to open a window because of the smell, or it lets off some kind of gas? Any tips on that? I'm not sure if I worded it right. Thank you!
Hey there! Welcome to your newest obsession 🤣
The absolute essentials you need at a minimum are a sublimation printer, Sublimation ink, Sublimation paper, heat tape, a heat press, and Sublimation blanks
what blanks do you recommend? tumblers or apparel for starting out? Press or oven? also i was told to make sure i have air wherever i make the projects due to gas or something like that. Any tips for it? :)
@SpookyKristis sublimation is the science of the ink turning from a solid ink into a gas when it reaches a certain temp (think boiling water vs water vs ice), this gas can be a bit smelly. It's always a good idea to work in a well ventilated area with either a fan or near a window that can open.
For blanks it will depend on what you're interested in. Being the owner of PNW Blanks, I will always recommend our products as they're rested for quality and I wouldn't sell anything I don't believe in and wouldn't provide to my own customers. Maybe I'll put together a fun beginner's bundle of blanks people can purchase to get their feet wet with sublimation!
What program do you use to design I’m just learning how to create my photos
I use affinity designer and photoshop. I used to use silhouette studio but the print quality is way better in the other programs
What size image should I be looking for when downloading from Etsy
It's best to measure your own tumblers as they're all sized a bit differently.
Can you please show how you print from the Epson app, my design keeps coming out too big or too small
I dont print from the epson app, sorry. I used to print from Silhouette studio and now print from Affinity
How do I print my design from silhouette? When I put the measurements in it still didn’t print correct. Is it a certain setting I need to do in silhouette?
When I print from silhouette I make sure my print line is on so I can see if anything is going to get cut off
Do you have a video with a 20z cup using vinyl amd mu cup isn't straight down
I dont use vinyl on cups, sorry
If there is a design that needs to line up at the seam won't a small overlap make it not line up properlty?
I've never had that issue personally.
What program do you use to be able to help you measure on. Cricut wont let me
I print from Affinity Designer. Cricut isn't a great program for printing. You will get better results from using an actual design or printing program
I have a 2720 Epson printer and I am doing a sublimation on a skinny Tumblr but my cricket design is not letting me print 9 1/4 x 8 high what could be the problem
Hello! Unfortunately, I have no experience with design space. I have heard of this being an issue with that program, so I would recommend using a different program to print your design.
Why dont you use butcher paper after wrapping the print ? I watched so many say it protects from burning and also prevents any ink problems inside your press
It's not needed with the PNW Press and you shouldn't have burning if it's calibrated correctly. The only time I use it is if I am adding a name or something to an already sublimated tumbler
Mine isn’t wrapping around tight and too long the bottun and I cut some off the bottum
@Anonymous-bs5ov make sure you're measuring your tumbler. Also check the paper you are using, it may be too thick.
Do you print it on landscape?
Yes if using 8.5x11 paper
That’s a cool tape dispenser , would you mind sharing where you got it
Pnwblankselena.com
What weight sublimation paper do you use?
105g
what size is the tumbler you are using in this video ?
20 oz
I always roll my transfer so when I place it on tumbler it rolls right on like a glove 🧤
That's why we invented the Rolie Polie ;)
Which design program is this?
Silhouette studio. I use Affinity designer for the most part now
how do you print your designs? mine come out bigger than the desire size I put on the computer
What program are you using? I print using silhouette studio or affinity designer
I started putting mine in Ms word and sizing it in there. Works much better
What if tumbler is wider at top and middle and smaller at bottom?
Like in a tapered tumbler? Or more like a yeti style 30 oz?
Mine is still too small at 9.3 my tumbler is almost 9.5
It's always a great idea to measure your item before printing. Not all tumblers are the same size
