In any case, no piles need to be driven into the ground as we have to do here in a fairly large part of the Netherlands (the West or the coastal area) otherwise your house or extension will have subsided 50 cm within a year due to the peat soil that we here and that peat is far from thickened for the time being !! They sometimes say that you first put a lot of "money" into the ground and only then see your investment appear above it and that is correct because piles are also not the cheapest.
Hey Simon, what was length of the extension? Also did you open up the kitch/sideway wall to extend the kitch to the side? And what was the rough cost? (30k?)
Good point. That could easily have been made in timber format with 100mm insulation and the walls would have been 4 inches thick not a foot, there was no load to bear as it was only the weight of the roof and the velux windows. BTW a skylantern would have looked miles better and more contemporary and not much more expensive compared to three veluxes and their fitting.
My best friend, Made an excellent video. I really liked it. Beauty is extraordinary. Thank you very much for the video.
Great job and exactly what the home owners obviously decided they wanted.
Would help if we knew how long this actually took, and the cost?
How many days did this actually take and how much did it all cost?

Very nice. What camera did you use to timlapse record your work ? Thankyou for your help.
Great job. How much did it approximately cost, if I may ask?
around 35000 pounds with only 6 weeks duration
Where was this work done ?
is it 4m or 5m extension and how much space was wasted by brick insulation and block installations??

Can come explain what is happening at 03:29! Or is that my eyes playing tricks on me? 👀
plasterboard edge trim stacked above the camera
You cant build up to the boundry line because the neighbour already did?
I wish I could make The money to build it in 4 min..
What's the size of this extension ?
Did you move your waste pipes on the wall?
Where was the floor insulation added?
You will see the insulation going down (75mm Celotex) around the 3 min. They are the big 2400 x 1200 sheet that are stacked by the opening.
Christ ! Those poor buggers next door have lost so much natural light!
Kindly refrain from profanities. Unnecessary and offensive.
So how long it took to build it. ? Would be great to hear the answer. Many thanks
It took about 4 months including the kitchen fit
