I was very surprised when Dónal Lenihan on RTE said there are only 4 schools in Scotland where rugby is played. If that is so it is no wonder the Scottish u20s struggle to compete.
That's not true but there is a small amount of competitive schools and clubs who get most of the look ins, favoured in selections, scouts at games. The number of those teams is probably equal in number to the amount of competitive rugby sides at underage level in a single irish province.
I played in both the Irish and Scottish systems at underage level and tbh its probably half the number in a single province. Especially with the private schools eating away at state schools when they produce generational sides at u16. Leaves less teams at u18s. That kind of thing doesn't happen in ireland.
Match was over at 20 minutes! The high tackle needs to be eliminated long before players get to senior level. U20s is the last opportunity to teach those lessons!

This was a shameful result. We all know the Scottish are a mess and they don't have the skills to compete, but they could at least be fit. @@dr224444 It is bigger its just we are shit at it but more people play football and more people watch it. Rugby is deff in competition for 3rd now but isnt there yet.
ouch
Ive reported this video to UA-cam ,,,, gratuitous
Jesus Christ lol
Head on head. The attacker is the one moving towards the defender faster in most cases ..but it's the defenders fault the attacker twists his body position in milli seconds. Rugby turning into a never ending turn style of yellow and red cards
Yeah that card really ruined the game as a contest
The red card is a joke… 😅
Embarrassing, no other words.
The joke that is Scottish rugby, looks like they are going to have to carry on with the cheque book to buy a future team, what a laugh their test team have a squad of 42 players 22 are bought and are as Scottish as the pope , how can this be allowed
Painful commentary
This was a shameful result. We all know the Scottish are a mess and they don't have the skills to compete, but they could at least be fit. Some of the Scottish players were out on their feet after 20 minutes. A young back row player shouldn't look like a fat old man, terrible. They seem to missing the basics. Slow off their feet lazy getting back a total shambles if I'm honest.
I watched the game in a bar in Edinburgh a few lads had Scottish jerseys on, after 20 minutes they turned their backs on the game.
Stop putting up the results in the description Christ
First
Score in the title yet again, unsubscribing.
Great performance-dreadful commentary (ouch my ears hurt)
Who was commentating? God, she was annoying.
Awful commentary, just wrong dynamic for a mens game 🙄
