    A extra step that will keep you from having rough edges around your corn hole. Drill your corn hole only about half way... Then flip the project and finish the drilling from the other side. No blowout.

    I bought an air compressor from Lowe’s a couple of years ago and it came with a pneumatic staple gun, 18 gage nail gun and a 16 gage nail gun. It was on sale for 199.00.
    I have used it for may projects. The nail gun is great for tacking pieces in place for screwing.

    One thing you could do to avoid chip out in the back is to cut halfway and then turn it around and cut from the other side. Your pilot hole will tell you where to drill.

    Have you ever played Washers? Similar to corn hole, but much easier to build, and more compact. You can pack it up and take it anywhere. Super fun!

    Pocket screws avoid the drywall screws that show and you have to putty/sand them. Stain makes them show differently than the rest of the wood. You really need at least polyurethane to keep out moisture.

    Is it possible to make a cornhole board with pvc pipe? Obviously, you put a board on top.then you could screw the board in to the pvc pipe? So, basically, all you would need is 4 pieces of pvc pipe and a board on top... screw the board in the pvc pipe and thats it? I wanna make one, but trying to figure out an even cheaper method

    The days when you could get wood for $25.. 2x4 runs $11 for 8 feet now, and plywood is like $65 for a 4x8 board.. if you buy the 2x4 sheet precut it costs even more. A typical cornhole board set is going to run about $80 or more in parts alone now.

    Great video. I'm so glad that I don't have to pay over $100 for a cornhole set. My only question is.....I know that you measured 3.5" down on side of 2x4. But what is the measurement on the leg ? It doesn't look like 3.5" from the top to hole. Thanks

    • @TheReal_InkwellGaming
      @TheReal_InkwellGaming 2 роки тому

      Should be halfway in the 2x4 so they typically are 3.5" so hold should be 1.75" down to be centered

    • @alphwinter3913
      @alphwinter3913 2 роки тому

      You would want 3 1/2 to 4 inches. I want to get some left handed thread carriage bolts and wing nuts so opening the legs sets and tightens the legs.

    There’s no way your building your corn holes for $25 bucks even 11 months ago. Especially here in cali. I’m building two sets right now and I’m looking at $80

  • @Anonymous-nh5dt
    @Anonymous-nh5dt 3 роки тому +1

    I don't believe the $25 price tag, definitely click bait. Prove us otherwise with a receipt. A 6" hole saw bit is over $40. Even a cheap 1/2" thick oak plywood board is ~$54 at lowes. Definitely not a high quality build but it will work.

    • @BackyardSidekick
      @BackyardSidekick  3 роки тому

      Sure, maybe a little click baitey but it was about 25 bucks per board for me. I could see it seeming like click bait because it was about 50 bucks to make the 2 boards.
      I go into more detail about what I used on the site: backyardsidekick.com/how-to-make-a-cornhole-board-regulation-size/
      I found a 6" hole saw on amazon for only $16 here: amzn.to/3bW6UCW
      And cheap plywood from lowes already cut to 2x4 here: www.lowes.com/search?searchTerm=2x4+plywood
      Some plywood they sell for only 7 or 8 dollars. I think I went with a 12 dollar piece cuz I'm fancy.

    Looks like all your tools costs way more than $25 ? There goes your theory. Cheap boards at Walmart costs alot more than $25. Stop lying to people.
