We’re in Las Vegas for the first time and doing a Las Vegas tour like you’ve never seen it before. We’re staying with friends that live in Las Vegas and they are giving us a tour by locals to find the best hidden gems in the Las Vegas area.
In this video we visit Valley of Fire State Park. We also go to downtown Las Vegas to experience Fremont Street where we have lunch and drinks at a shipping container park. And later in the video we head to Lake Las Vegas.

been to Las Vegas five times, twice on coach tours, once with a friend who did a LOT of driving and a couple of times on my own. I believe I've done all the (then) available day trips available with the Pink Jeep people...all of those were amazing. Not sure Vegas is my best vacation spot but for the places available if you are willing to drive it's very good.

valley of fire, there is a parking area on the right of the road which looks out over a huge percentage of the park....
I have been a subscriber for a few years now and it never dawned on me that you have never been to the desert! My family did the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Laughlin, and Vegas last year. Excited to see your American Southwest series! And I have been to Vegas a zillion times but never been to the Valley of Fire nor Lake Las Vegas. Thanks for the new ideas for our next visit out there!! 😎👍

It’s true, there is so much more to Vegas than the Strip and Downtown! The surrounding area is so unique and picturesque! You guys should also visit Red Rock Canyon as well, and a day trip to the Hoover Dam…so beautiful! ❤

Don't go top GVR we are fine, stay on the strip. Free tip, but if you have to stray go to Red Rocks instead. k Just stay the hell out of Green Valley.
I can see vegas being a fun option to stay for a month, eat well, have city + shops accessible + the conveniences/comforts of usa. Do you think vegas could be cheaper than NS for everyday living? Or not bc of Cad $? 🤔
hmmm.. good question. Groceries in general are cheaper than NS and Canada so if you just went out occasionally and cooked at home, it would be cheaper - Trevor
I prefer downtown than the strip, its more walkable and the area between the Container Park and Fremont Street is known as East Fremont. Its where the locals go for the indie scene.
We prefer it as well 😀
