That weld is garbage. That weld will not last long at all, especially on that bike. A good weld will outlast the pipe.

Looks like that's a Service Honda digital ignition on there. Pretty sure Electrosport was making those for them when they were still available. Stock 500 cdi was analog.

Pipe cracking is just the nature of the beast. I have oem and fmf pipes both with cracks just weld it up and away you go.

Weld is shit, I had a hole in a yzf250 exhaust that bolted to the head and my mate dad welded it perfectly flat and everything was as big as a 20 cent coin, lasted me years and sold it like that

No, never weld a pipe like that. Just get a new one and besides that that’s the worst welding job I’ve ever seen it must be some kind of amateur welder that does not know what he’s doing because that looks like straight boogers, and it will crack again under heat and pressure. Trust me his best bet. Tell him V to get a new pipe either OEM or FMF or a pro circuit. They sell them everywhere.🤷🏽♂️💯🔥🤘🏽👍🏽
