    THE BEST video about fuzz pedals! And this method overcame all other pedal videos on UA-cam! I've never seen anything like this! A true master class! Congratulations!

    Great comparison! On point, comprehensible, no unnecessary blablah, just short comparable snippets of a wide range on pedals. And a huge plus, that you guys send the signal through both, clean AND distorted Amps. Thanks so much 🤗

    This channel just taught me how to better use and utilize fuzz better in an inspiring way, no confusion, just straight up value under 12 minutes like no other video did on yt. Hats off to you dear sir/madam!

    NOTE: you dont have to use a cranked amp for better sound, just put an overdrive after your fuzz.

    • @mikkywhalan
      @mikkywhalan 3 роки тому +7

      More so, like a Transparent overdrive like a Boss Blues Driver.

      @@mikkywhalan I use fuzz (different units) into Boss Super Overdrive into JHS Angry Driver (a double OD which has a Blues Driver and Angry Charlie in one unit) - I get from pristine clean to mild overdrive to hard overdrive to Voice of God distortion/fuzz. I just wish I figured this out years ago...

    Three things I've used as tips for my setup personally is run my amp clean and use pedals to drive the amp that way you can still have a clean sound when you turn the pedals off. Another is keep a pedal you don't use in your signal chain but unplugged from the power supply and it acts as a kill switch. The last one has to do with my personal set up. I have two fuzzes and two overdrives on my board for different flavors. The one fuzz has a noise gate built in and I put it after the other fuzz and run the noise gate just high enough to remove excess noise and use my one overdrive as a boost after both fuzzes creating a massive sound and sustain even at low volumes. This works for me personally but is subjective. There will people who argue it 🤷

    This video is how you test pedals:pedal, amps, guitar, other pedals combinations(octave pedal also 👍) Intelligent test.
    It sad to see people reviewing Octavers, for example, alone only. They should learn with you.

    I've read a tone online about how some fuzzes want a clean amp (Big Muff style), others an overdriven amp (Fuzz Face). I still haven't seen that demoed well. I saw you do a bit with it. A bit more on that would have been helpful.

    I had the astrotone. It was cool but then I realized I can get the light fuzz by rolling back the volume of my guitar through any regular fuzzface. I like the JHF1 and the Chase Tone Red Velvet / Red Fuzzfella.

    can anytone tell me why buy a fuzz pedal? i think its sounds nice, but in a band context, it gets lost? and when do you guys use it?

    • @oliviermilani3949
      @oliviermilani3949 3 роки тому

      Because it's the most organic, classical and tasteful effect. You can be lost in the mix, It's a fact. It's the most difficult effect to sound good and right. What guitar, amp, cable, blablabla...different factor that can lost you in the mix but once you sorted out it's heaven. This why it's addictiv. You can use it for rythm or leads, up to you. You can repro a sax depend on the style you play...

    fuzz sounds better on a cranked amp

    • @johndrowe5281
      @johndrowe5281 Рік тому

      Agreed. However, I have found that a “leave it on“ level 0D (TS-9/808 or Nobels OD-1) placed after the fuzz pedal does a fine job. It is rather like OD pedal being a scone with the fuzz pedal being the marmalade ladled over the top to ones own tastes.😎
