i love living righ near Gettysburg. its a great place to drive around, and walk around and reflect. its amazing seeing where my great great grandfather camped and faught. Army of Northern Virginia
I appreciate the efforts that went into putting this together, thanks. Enjoyed watching. These re-enactors, while not perfect according to the many comments, I think have done a beautiful job. Loved seeing the horses, and since I'm a big fan of American Civil War Cavalry - really enjoyed seeing the sabres and tack, etc. Well done, God bless...
That's a modern guitar only joking 😂😂😂 I'm From U.K that breakfast looked like good meat food for soldiers thought they just got bread and water, still put on a good show.
A lot more attention to detail shown here than most of the units I have worked with in the past. Some mistakes but then no one is perfect. Thanks for participating in living history. We learn so much more by participating even though its so much more expensive to get started these days.
Fantastic Video; loved the music, acting, and education portions from the men in the field. LIKED and SUBSCRIBED! See you in the field or around the fire pards.
P.S. What man put these magnificent creatures of God through during battle of the American Civil War is almost unforgivable... (Military Horses & Mules.)
This is my evaluation of the comments section: 10% Reenactors discussing events or building kits 10% Idiots talking shit about a hobby they know nothing about 80% People commenting about how hot the girls in this video are
I enjoy watching all reenactments, but to have women not impersonating a man, but as herself is really inauthentic. I am an old woman, but if I entered this I would dress and impersonate a man From what I have read. Women who actually served in the civil war got away with it. Unless they were wounded Have ancestors who fought in the revolutionary and civil wars and adore us history so appreciate this.
Edohiguma yeah, how dare people presenting history do it accurately. Who could live for a weekend without pancakes? I mean really, why bother being accurate at all? Might as well wear tennis shoes, why should reenactors have uncomfortable feet?
Well I do know in 1864 or 1865 the CSA did call for up to, 200,000, black recruits (freemen and slave). But I don't know if they were allowed to hold rank of any kind.
I can't stand people that don't know what they are talking about. Why is that ironic, the union owned slaves and you see them with black regiments, 5% of the confederate army listed the cause of secession for slavery. This just proves to all those idiots the civil war wasn't over slavery, and the confederates arnt racist. I reenact and in my time I have seen many blacks fight along side with my as a confederate
Yeah, SERIOUSLY F.A.R.B.Y...... I've been a reenactor for 16 years..... before that I was in the Marine Corps for 12.... Infantry........ Leopard Appalosa ????? WTF ????? NOT A CIVIL WAR HORSE....
Wow the Calvary re-actors were BAD . I know they had women in both militaries during the American civil war, but have them either tuck their hair away or look a lot less feminine . The Calvary fighting was funny to watch,I have seen 18th century dragoons do a better job.
Great horsemanship ladies and gentleman-and the friendliest fighting I've ever seen! thanks for keeping it confined in the heat for the horses' sake!
Thank you for keeping History alive., Great video!!
Sure thing www.craigshipp.com/Bitcoin
I really love the beautiful horses in this reinactment!

Well done all of yall! Big salute to the 10th Confederate Cavalry, which 4 of my GG- uncles served in.
Mine was in the 5th Alabama company E under Clarke!
I like how people reenact history; especially the Civil War.
It gives us a better view of how these historic battles were once fought.
Rotneybot no. With this group? No, it doesn't.
The Minstrel Boy, Great Irish tune
Hurrah
Its been close to 10 years since I wore the grey and handled an Enfield. . .I do miss it so!
Make it 17. Wow.
Fantastic video!
It was a fun event.
I appreciate the efforts that went into putting this together, thanks. Enjoyed watching.

Opening scene with a cicra 2014 guitar. Keep it classy.
Thank you for all the work you boys do keeping it alive for all of us civilken.
Well done!
Correction: The first fife and drum corps is the Calvert Arms Fife and Drum Corps
That's a modern guitar only joking 😂😂😂 I'm From U.K that breakfast looked like good meat food for soldiers thought they just got bread and water, still put on a good show.

The bugle tune is "Bugle Quickstep No. 1"

i was there for the 150th. It was Amazing to be on the same field where my ancestors were.
If this is a hint of what the 150th will bring I will happily pass on this one!
10th Va. Co B. infintry unit....that is where you saw the guy playing the guitar.
Question-at :55, what depot supplied the paper towels and potato chips?
The fife and drum corps is the "Calvert Arms Fife and Drum Corps" not Venture Crew 1861
Oh boy, snares sounded a little dirty.. tighter snares maybe..they sounded good though!
The name if the song is Patty on the Handcar @DarthBlak2291
What the intro song
Good question. He was good!
IIIt has been estimated that there were approximately 400 women that fought in the Civil War. Apparently every single one of them was at Gettysburg!
Love that minstrel boy song !
Looks more like a wild west show than a historical reenactment...
¡¡¡Bravo!!!
¡Hermoso!

You are welcome
Those poor cavalry sabers....
Hope they were all reproductions!
But not all of us are rich. We just put our priorities in order the way we see fit.
this could be a new death sentence have inmates on death row reenact famous battles of the civil war with real rounds
Yea John
good
They only play c sharps. No c naturals so all the songs sound wrong
( I'm a fifer btw)

Whew-who! Lean bacon, link sausage, and pancakes! Just like the sojurs ate. NEVER!
Edohiguma yeah, how dare people presenting history do it accurately. Who could live for a weekend without pancakes? I mean really, why bother being accurate at all? Might as well wear tennis shoes, why should reenactors have uncomfortable feet?
They shouldnt use horses they should be on their feet
Americanos são patriotas eles não esquece seus feitos suas histórias seus heróis já o Brasil nem se lembram de parentes que lutaram em guerras
yayy

antra chadad no. No, it isn't.
Ha! Yep.
WANGS
Farbs.
ughhh all that bacon and sausage i want it ;-;
at least I'll probably have some at my next encampment :P
the it would be funner if the people would pretend to die
A black Confederate cavalry commander? That's interesting...if not ironic.
Well I do know in 1864 or 1865 the CSA did call for up to, 200,000, black recruits (freemen and slave). But I don't know if they were allowed to hold rank of any kind.
Kevlar Burrito Do not forget that blacks did fight in southern militias and some of them might of held rank.
Kevlar Burrito I don't think he was "black".
+Kevlar Burrito Sean Paul is not black he is an islander and a good friend of mine

In the heat of the moment hot was the only word i could manage to type. But i do truly believe she is beautiful. I apologize for the poor word choice
What’s with all these women portraying soldiers????
Sometimes women did dress up as men to be able to fight.
Wow it is cool but boerd at the same time
на кубанских казаков похожи только без папахи у каждого государства своя история
Yup so true
Yup....... Seriously Farby........
No offense but five and drums could sound way better... Then again i work for colonial Williamsburg fife and drum corps so I have higher standards.
i was at the 135th, this looks like a shit show... the 135th was a great event, was thinking about doing the 150th but not if it looks like this
A lot of farbe going on. Not eating period rations and kids all over the place.
At least they are having fun!
Haha no this isn't a hobby
"Funnier "?? Have some respect man.
its a shame the they don't let weman join.
She meant weman from jackass
Lots of units do!
Women Civilians, nurse, spies, and etc.
This was boring, no one got shot in the ENTIRE “reenactment”
Terrible fife and drums. I'm a revwar reenactor, and we never sound that bad
Blue belly yellow yankee ... 😁
Wow the Calvary re-actors were BAD . I know they had women in both militaries during the American civil war, but have them either tuck their hair away or look a lot less feminine . The Calvary fighting was funny to watch,I have seen 18th century dragoons do a better job.
This is so, so bad. FARBS on parade.
Whatever you say.
Yes we know stop pointing ☝️ it out, nothing you can do about it.
