A good knife story I have is that my dad has been carrying a Benchmade reflex mini II for as long as I can remember and when I was a kid we were going on a family vacation and had to go to the airport. My dad forgot he had his mini in his pocket and security wouldn't let him through. They gave him the option to get it mailed back home or it would be confiscated. Instead he exits the airport and burries it in the dirt by the drop off area. A week later when we came back he goes to the burial site and his mini was still there. He's still using the knife to this day
My K, I used in Iraq for over a year. When I came home I passed it on to my son who carries it everyday and when he is out with his guard unit. He won't give it back so that's a great sign. (Purchased it in 2006)

Back around year 2001, I worked in a quarry and had a Spyderco with the 4" blade, Endura I think. I used it quite often cutting conveyer belts. While running a stockpile truck I lost it, could find it anywhere . About 6 months later while removing crushed stone from under the bin I had been working under I found it. It was in a puddle where the truck had been parked while being loaded. That knife had been run over hundreds of times.by a truck 22tons.After washing it out I was able to open it. The blade was still in good shape.Took it home and boiled it to get the last of the crud out. Resharpend it, oiled it and used it for a couple of more years.
I got a good knife story: when i was a young lad of about 15, I bought this POS knife set called the "don't tread on me knife combo" or something tacticool (dumb) like that. one day I was fishing off this dock and I got a massive hit, like, rod yanked from my hands, and almost pulled into the water. I grabbed it and over the course of like 30 mins, I proceeded to wrestle this massive flounder to the surface and get it on the dock. this thing was like 2 and a half feet long it was huge. a small crowd of tourists kinda formed around me and I was feeling all cool and stuff cause I am a local and non of these people had probably even scene a founder before, so naturally, to show off, i decided to cut the head off the fish with one swing of my knife. I raised it above my head, brought it down hard, and the fucking handle exploded in my hand, and the blade snapped out, bounced off the dock, wizzed past my head, and anchored itself into the pier 20 feet behind me. it landed about 2 feet from some old ladies that were watching me. Ive never been more embarrassed. and that's when I learned about quality knives.
out of the thousands of knives that pass through my hands I only keep a select few every now and then and one of them in a 74 mini (aus8) beat to crap and still kickin ;)
I’ve got a good story: It was my 10th birthday and my father got me 2 knives a Swiss Army knife and a cheap folding knife about a month later being the 10 year old self I was my friend and I got the folding knife and went down to a creek throwing the knife at trees and as I went to throw the knife at the tree it hit the handle of the knife and bounced into the running water so I was upset that I had lost it but ended up forgetting about it fast forward about 6 years I was walking through the creek and say something green so I reached down and wouldn’t you know it it was the same knife I had lost in the creek 6 years ago I was amazed
I have had my Kalashnikov for over 6 years and it has been the best knife I have ever carried as a edc. It saved my life once when I fell out of my tree stand and was hanging from my safety harness. I reached in my pocket,grabbed my auto, wrapped my legs around the tree and cut the harness and slid down the tree to safety. I would buy 100 more of these knives but mine just keeps on functioning.

@@johnpats7024 The reason Ka-Bar knives are called Ka Bar is because Ka Bar is short for "Kodiak Bear" One time a woodsman and guide in Alaska was attacked and he used his (I think it was called Cammillus at the time) knife to fight the bear off. Killing the huge animal in the process... .and sent the story to the knife maker who promptly changed the name of their woodsman knife to "Ka-Bar" as it was short for "Kodiak Grizzly Bear" .
This story is not about a Boker but a Spyderco Hunter from the early 2000s. My dad has carried it for years running pop machine routes. One day he got his fingers caught in a pinch point and used his knife to save them, breaking the tip off in the process. He had the tip re-ground and still uses it to this day.
Knife story. One night I was drinking at my friends house and ended up walking home. My EDC at the time was a CRKT thunderbolt ( I have big hands) I loved that knife from the day I bought it. That night I slipped in a field. When i awoke the next day I couldn't find my knife. I called my friend to see if I left it at his place and looked all over it was gone.☹ About a yaer later I was walking through the same field and slipped in same place as that night. When I went to stand back up my landed on something metal. It was the same knife. 😲 I gave it a quick cleaning and it just had one spot of rust on the blade and a little oil fixed that right up. Sorry this is so long just felt I had to share
I had a gerber freeman drop point that my dad had gotten me and was my favorite edc. one day I was working on a job site and the belt sheath I had it in opened and dropped it out somewhere, I looked for probably an hour, under the house through the yard and never found it. About 6 months later while on a trip to Minnesota my dad calls me and said he found it, when I asked where he said it was in the top rack of the truck and sent me a picture of the knife in almost perfect condition, it had ridden in the open all winter through ice storms and gold rainy days for the better part of 6 months and not a speck of rust. Needless to say I was happy to have it back, unfortunately I’ve lost it again but I expect it to find its way back one day
I just bought one of these for my wife to carry in her purse.... and you guys were able to put her name on the handle. I got her an orange handle so she can find it easier. Thanks for putting her name on it and shipping so fast. The Boker action is “snappy” and does not scare her opening and closing. That is really important!
I've had my BladeHQ Kalashnikov for like 8 or so years now. Blue scales with clip point AUS8 steel. Never had the heart to carry it, I didn't want to mar it up or damage it. Been carrying it for 2 days now and man is it handy. I really love this knife.
So I just ordered the Kalashnikov XXL drop point. I didn't know how tough they actually are! Can't WAIT till it gets here... Looks like now, there's a 99.99% chance that the XXL Clip point is gonna be next! GREAT VIDEO guys...

I was a deputy in the Texas panhandle for 2 years and I’ve used mine to cut many people out of their seat belts in car wrecks and used it on duty for many of things that other knifes wouldn’t have survived but this knife still works perfectly. I just ordered another for my new department adventures

I agree. It's sometimes a struggle being left handed in this right handed world. The worst is trying to use scissors. Even the lefty ones suck, too. So, to see they'll be lefty versions of this knife is exciting. Can't wait til they become available.
Love my boker ak47 knife. After about 7-8 years of hard use my spring just broke on me. But luckily they sell spares. Ordered a set of springs and about to order another one. Definitely my fav edc knife.
My father had a Kalashnikov 74 He had two, but the first one he only had a few months before he left it on the back of his truck and it flew off. The second one he got shortly after and used it for well over a decade in heavy duty construction. He passed away a little over a year ago and his knife (worn out more than the one in the video) is easily the most sentimental object I have. I now carry my own Kalashnikov 74 as my primary knife as a deputy sheriff. No matter what you use a knife for, the Kalashnikov is a great choice.
My dad has a Kershaw Ken Onion Chive that he found leading on the ground outside the post office one day. After about a year, he lost it in the fall. About six months later, after all the snow and everything, he was doing something in the yard and found the knife laying there. There was zero rust and the knife functions perfectly. Probably the best knife story I've witnessed

ok I got a story I had or have a bench made north folk so to the story is I live on a canyon and I was doing canyon thing and lost my knife after 3 years we got rain and had a mudslide so the next day I went outside and something catches my eye I see a sliver of light coming like a reflection out of the ground it was the north folk I found it was buried in the ground for 3 years and got unearthed after the mudslide
Sweet! A lefty knife! That's so awesome. Being left handed has it struggles, one of which is finding a good knife that at least has a reversible pocket clip, let alone a knife built specifically for left handers. They're very rare to see so I'm stoked that this option will be available in the near future. I'll definitely will be purchasing one once they drop. Can't wait!

@@BladeHQ i have a story to tell, this pocket knife (gerber freescape folding sheath knife) was my favorite pocket knife, o owned it for 3 years and it went through alot of use, it had 17cr17mov stainless steel, it didnt hold a great edge, but it had a parcheally serrated edge so it really didnt need alot of sharpening, i batonned wood with it, chopped with it and, many more things. I lost it in some snow at a campsite when i was chopping away at a tree, i was wearing slippery gloves and i still miss it till this day. I lost it last year. It was a beast and the best knife under 40 euros.
I've got a story not a lot of people believe. I was helping a friend work on his 1986 Camaro at my shop. The oil pan had been JB welded to the block. I broke a screwdriver trying to get it off. I pulled out my M16-04Z and used a rubber dead blow hammer to hammer it through the JB Weld. I was able to lift myself six inches off the ground. I'm not a light guy. I was 225 LBS at the time. I just knew it would snap. The blade never broke on me. I used it for another year before I gave it to a friend once he made Life Scout. Ever since then, it's been his EDC knife. He loves it and I had a backup M16-04Z that I've been carrying for the past 5 years. I've never had one mess up on me like Kershaw and Gerber have.
I have the small kalashnikov that my dad gave me before I moved to Minnesota from Oregon. I use it for work and actually dropped it in a lake off a dock fishing. It sat at the bottom for two weeks until I found it with a magnet and it had no problem and open and closed super clean.
I have the recurve tanto exclusive . Three years strong throughout all climates and conditions . Some of the black coating chipped off so I polished it off too look like a Batarang . Still holding up spring retention and blade endurance. Great knife
My first knife was the partially serrated tanto. That knife started my obsession. Since then I sort of baby my knifes but I know I shouldn't. I used my AK for three months on a temporary gig building hoop houses. 60 to 80 holes a day filled with cement to support the fence poles. That equates to 90 to 120 bags of 80lb quickcrete cut open open with my AK. Stabbing it into the bag and cutting the top off, blade slicing through paper, aggregate, sand and concrete. Never sharpened it once, just swirled it in a bucket of water at the end of the day. Snappy after day 90 as day one. If some kind gentleman hadn't stolen off my porch one day I'll bet it would still be rocking it today. I've bought one since but I sort of baby it now, I need to quit that S H 1 T. This is a working knife.
I had something happen to my first knife that was crazier than the grass story! I could even send it in for a knife banter episode! So here’s the story: My first knife I received when I was 7 years old and it was a small Victorinox Rambler. My parents bought it for me and I was stoked to have my first little knife that had tools on it so I could open little packages and use the screwdrivers to fix little things. I carried the thing with me everyday and I loved it for years. Even when I got an actual licking pocket knife when I was older I would still carry my little victorinox around with since it had other tools on it. Well my grandparents used to live up in Alabama and as a kid when we could visit all of the cousins would play in the backyard and climb up and down these huge trees that they had there. Well one day while climbing in the trees my victorinox rambler slipped out of my pocket and fell on the ground in the woods somewhere. When I noticed that it was gone I spent the next three days searching the entire yard and all around the trees just trying to find the knife. I never found the knife and we had to head back to our home in Florida. Fast forward over a year later my mom gets a phone call from my uncle saying that my cousin had found a little Swiss Army knife sticking out of a mole hole in the backyard. She say something shining in the sun sticking out of the ground and went and picked it up and it was my first victorinox! They needed up mailing the knife down to me and I still have it to this day! I’m now 20 years old and it’s the knife I’ve owned for the longest!
I love the Kalashnikov! I have one in every size they make. I gave one of the skull jobbers to a friend last last Christmas. He loves it. Since I wear dress slacks at work, I carry the black on black mini-Kalashnikov tanto blade every weekday. I also have a "Red rocket" and an anniversary edition at home in my knife wrap. Yeah, I might have a Boker Kalashnikov addiction. Edit: make the purple. ;)

when I work for UPS doing a seasonal job working on the trucks delivering packages I carried a Kershaw blur with me and one day it fell out of my pocket before I got on the truck and I didn't notice it for the whole entire day until I got home. The whole entire week went by until Friday when my truck driver pulled up to meet with me and he opened the door and pointed at the ground and my Kershaw blur was stuck in the pavement all scratched up and I used my other Kershaw blur to pry it out and I took it home and reconditioned the whole knife and it still works
I've got the automat 74 carried it every day ,used it every day for 11 years before the spring broke just got new spring from you guys put one in my knife just like new.
I have had a couple of these for several years and can attest to their fun and longevity of life. They are definitely well worth the price and can absolutely stand to be used and abused much better than some primadonna blades that cost two arms, one leg and your first born child to own. Keep up the good work Boker. By the way, you two guys are having way way too much fun during this episode. Ok guys here is my Kalashnikov story. I got mine from you guys at your very first store front in Lehi by the old family Dollar and you had to call for someone to meet you there so probably at least 20 yrs ago. This thing has been through hell and back. Camping, work, survival trips you name it. It's seen so much use the handle has no color left it's just aluminum now and never has it let me down still fires strong and has original spring blade is funny shape now but WTH. Has been sharpened on you name it from wet stones to a price of sandstone in the creek. I think I should bring it over and donate it to you guys to let people see just how tough these things are.
I lost a victorinox Swiss army knife in the woods for 2 years. It was found and returned by a family member and it still works. Toothpick and tweezers still in it.
My Kalashnikov story... I was carrying one in my back pocket while doing some work outside, when my son informs me we need to pick up some items for his return to college. We jump in my truck and off to the local Sams for the items. Apparently, I put enough pressure on the firing button while driving with this in my back pocket to allow the very tip of the blade to protrude out of the handle. Anyway, we get the needed items and are preparing to get back in the truck. Did I mention I usually carry my keys in my back pocket, but rarely ever carry a knife in my back pocket? So I’m patting my back pockets for keys, feel a little lump, and run my hand in my pocket......slicing my index finger from tip to the base of my finger. Deep. Bleeding profusely deep. Needing about 10 to 12 stitches, but have a $10000 deductible so I used super glue deep. They say it’s not truly your knife until it bites you...... still one of my favorite autos. I just make sure it goes in a front pocket now.
The Kalashnikov is pretty cool. I picked up a couple of the CA legal Sub Kalashnikovs and swapped the blade into the normal size Kalishnokov handle. Near perfect fit too with no other modifications.
I have one myself and have had it for many years. I just recently had to to replace the coil spring. I've had a lot of more expensive auto's break their spring before this one. The only bad thing is, they stopped putting the safety in. I'm not worried about it opening in my pocket but I love how it can be locked open which makes it stronger. They need to bring back the safety.

I’ve got a good story: It was my 10th birthday and my father got me 2 knives a Swiss Army knife and a cheap folding knife about a month later being the 10 year old self I was my friend and I got the folding knife and went down to a creek throwing the knife at trees and as I went to throw the knife at the tree it hit the handle of the knife and bounced into the running water so I was upset that I had lost it but ended up forgetting about it fast forward about 6 years I was walking through the creek and say something green so I reached down and wouldn’t you know it it was the same knife I had lost in the creek 6 years ago I was amazed

I have had my Kalashnikov for over 6 years and it has been the best knife I have ever carried as a edc. It saved my life once when I fell out of my tree stand and was hanging from my safety harness. I reached in my pocket,grabbed my auto, wrapped my legs around the tree and cut the harness and slid down the tree to safety. I would buy 100 more of these knives but mine just keeps on functioning.

@@johnpats7024 The reason Ka-Bar knives are called Ka Bar is because Ka Bar is short for "Kodiak Bear" One time a woodsman and guide in Alaska was attacked and he used his (I think it was called Cammillus at the time) knife to fight the bear off. Killing the huge animal in the process... .and sent the story to the knife maker who promptly changed the name of their woodsman knife to "Ka-Bar" as it was short for "Kodiak Grizzly Bear" .

This story is not about a Boker but a Spyderco Hunter from the early 2000s. My dad has carried it for years running pop machine routes. One day he got his fingers caught in a pinch point and used his knife to save them, breaking the tip off in the process. He had the tip re-ground and still uses it to this day.

Knife story. One night I was drinking at my friends house and ended up walking home. My EDC at the time was a CRKT thunderbolt ( I have big hands) I loved that knife from the day I bought it. That night I slipped in a field. When i awoke the next day I couldn't find my knife. I called my friend to see if I left it at his place and looked all over it was gone.☹ About a yaer later I was walking through the same field and slipped in same place as that night. When I went to stand back up my landed on something metal. It was the same knife. 😲 I gave it a quick cleaning and it just had one spot of rust on the blade and a little oil fixed that right up. Sorry this is so long just felt I had to share

I had a gerber freeman drop point that my dad had gotten me and was my favorite edc. one day I was working on a job site and the belt sheath I had it in opened and dropped it out somewhere, I looked for probably an hour, under the house through the yard and never found it. About 6 months later while on a trip to Minnesota my dad calls me and said he found it, when I asked where he said it was in the top rack of the truck and sent me a picture of the knife in almost perfect condition, it had ridden in the open all winter through ice storms and gold rainy days for the better part of 6 months and not a speck of rust. Needless to say I was happy to have it back, unfortunately I’ve lost it again but I expect it to find its way back one day

I just bought one of these for my wife to carry in her purse.... and you guys were able to put her name on the handle. I got her an orange handle so she can find it easier. I've had my BladeHQ Kalashnikov for like 8 or so years now. Blue scales with clip point AUS8 steel. Never had the heart to carry it, I didn't want to mar it up or damage it. Been carrying it for 2 days now and man is it handy. I really love this knife.
So I just ordered the Kalashnikov XXL drop point. I didn't know how tough they actually are! Can't WAIT till it gets here... Looks like now, there's a 99.99% chance that the XXL Clip point is gonna be next! GREAT VIDEO guys...

I was a deputy in the Texas panhandle for 2 years and I’ve used mine to cut many people out of their seat belts in car wrecks and used it on duty for many of things that other knifes wouldn’t have survived but this knife still works perfectly. I just ordered another for my new department adventures

@@BladeHQ haha my mistake then, luvin your channel, with being from England the gun laws are very tight so a knife is nxt best boys toys, i did hav a 22 250 for deer stalking but it was on my dad's license cos i couldn't get one, it really is crazy hard to even get a shot gun licence an wat sucks even more its illegal to hav a automatic knife on you including butterfly and stiletto so im just going to hav keep watching your channel in envy, can you do something on bayonets in the near future plz, thanks for your work guys 👍✌

I agree. It's sometimes a struggle being left handed in this right handed world. The worst is trying to use scissors. Even the lefty ones suck, too. So, to see they'll be lefty versions of this knife is exciting. Can't wait til they become available.

Love my boker ak47 knife. After about 7-8 years of hard use my spring just broke on me. But luckily they sell spares. Ordered a set of springs and about to order another one. Definitely my fav edc knife.

My father had a Kalashnikov 74 He had two, but the first one he only had a few months before he left it on the back of his truck and it flew off. The second one he got shortly after and used it for well over a decade in heavy duty construction. He passed away a little over a year ago and his knife (worn out more than the one in the video) is easily the most sentimental object I have. I now carry my own Kalashnikov 74 as my primary knife as a deputy sheriff. No matter what you use a knife for, the Kalashnikov is a great choice.

My dad has a Kershaw Ken Onion Chive that he found leading on the ground outside the post office one day. After about a year, he lost it in the fall. About six months later, after all the snow and everything, he was doing something in the yard and found the knife laying there. There was zero rust and the knife functions perfectly. Probably the best knife story I've witnessed

ok I got a story I had or have a bench made north folk so to the story is I live on a canyon and I was doing canyon thing and lost my knife after 3 years we got rain and had a mudslide so the next day I went outside and something catches my eye I see a sliver of light coming like a reflection out of the ground it was the north folk I found it was buried in the ground for 3 years and got unearthed after the mudslide
Sweet! A lefty knife! That's so awesome. Being left handed has it struggles, one of which is finding a good knife that at least has a reversible pocket clip, let alone a knife built specifically for left handers. They're very rare to see so I'm stoked that this option will be available in the near future. I'll definitely will be purchasing one once they drop. Can't wait!

@@BladeHQ i have a story to tell, this pocket knife (gerber freescape folding sheath knife) was my favorite pocket knife, o owned it for 3 years and it went through alot of use, it had 17cr17mov stainless steel, it didnt hold a great edge, but it had a parcheally serrated edge so it really didnt need alot of sharpening, i batonned wood with it, chopped with it and, many more things. I lost it in some snow at a campsite when i was chopping away at a tree, i was wearing slippery gloves and i still miss it till this day. I lost it last year. It was a beast and the best knife under 40 euros.

I've got a story not a lot of people believe. I was helping a friend work on his 1986 Camaro at my shop. The oil pan had been JB welded to the block. I broke a screwdriver trying to get it off. I pulled out my M16-04Z and used a rubber dead blow hammer to hammer it through the JB Weld. I was able to lift myself six inches off the ground. I'm not a light guy. I was 225 LBS at the time. I just knew it would snap. The blade never broke on me. I used it for another year before I gave it to a friend once he made Life Scout. Ever since then, it's been his EDC knife. He loves it and I had a backup M16-04Z that I've been carrying for the past 5 years. I've never had one mess up on me like Kershaw and Gerber have.

I have the small kalashnikov that my dad gave me before I moved to Minnesota from Oregon. I use it for work and actually dropped it in a lake off a dock fishing. It sat at the bottom for two weeks until I found it with a magnet and it had no problem and open and closed super clean.

I have the recurve tanto exclusive . Three years strong throughout all climates and conditions . Some of the black coating chipped off so I polished it off too look like a Batarang . Still holding up spring retention and blade endurance. Great knife

My first knife was the partially serrated tanto. That knife started my obsession. Since then I sort of baby my knifes but I know I shouldn't. I used my AK for three months on a temporary gig building hoop houses. 60 to 80 holes a day filled with cement to support the fence poles. That equates to 90 to 120 bags of 80lb quickcrete cut open open with my AK. Stabbing it into the bag and cutting the top off, blade slicing through paper, aggregate, sand and concrete.
Never sharpened it once, just swirled it in a bucket of water at the end of the day. Snappy after day 90 as day one. If some kind gentleman hadn't stolen off my porch one day I'll bet it would still be rocking it today.
I've bought one since but I sort of baby it now, I need to quit that S H 1 T. This is a working knife.
I had something happen to my first knife that was crazier than the grass story! I could even send it in for a knife banter episode!
So here’s the story:
My first knife I received when I was 7 years old and it was a small Victorinox Rambler. My parents bought it for me and I was stoked to have my first little knife that had tools on it so I could open little packages and use the screwdrivers to fix little things. I carried the thing with me everyday and I loved it for years. Even when I got an actual licking pocket knife when I was older I would still carry my little victorinox around with since it had other tools on it. Well my grandparents used to live up in Alabama and as a kid when we could visit all of the cousins would play in the backyard and climb up and down these huge trees that they had there. Well one day while climbing in the trees my victorinox rambler slipped out of my pocket and fell on the ground in the woods somewhere. When I noticed that it was gone I spent the next three days searching the entire yard and all around the trees just trying to find the knife. I never found the knife and we had to head back to our home in Florida. Fast forward over a year later my mom gets a phone call from my uncle saying that my cousin had found a little Swiss Army knife sticking out of a mole hole in the backyard. She say something shining in the sun sticking out of the ground and went and picked it up and it was my first victorinox! They needed up mailing the knife down to me and I still have it to this day! I’m now 20 years old and it’s the knife I’ve owned for the longest!

I love the Kalashnikov! I have one in every size they make. I gave one of the skull jobbers to a friend last last Christmas. He loves it. Since I wear dress slacks at work, I carry the black on black mini-Kalashnikov tanto blade every weekday. I also have a "Red rocket" and an anniversary edition at home in my knife wrap. Yeah, I might have a Boker Kalashnikov addiction.

when I work for UPS doing a seasonal job working on the trucks delivering packages I carried a Kershaw blur with me and one day it fell out of my pocket before I got on the truck and I didn't notice it for the whole entire day until I got home. The whole entire week went by until Friday when my truck driver pulled up to meet with me and he opened the door and pointed at the ground and my Kershaw blur was stuck in the pavement all scratched up and I used my other Kershaw blur to pry it out and I took it home and reconditioned the whole knife and it still works
I've got the automat 74 carried it every day ,used it every day for 11 years before the spring broke just got new spring from you guys put one in my knife just like new.
I have had a couple of these for several years and can attest to their fun and longevity of life. They are definitely well worth the price and can absolutely stand to be used and abused much better than some primadonna blades that cost two arms, one leg and your first born child to own. Keep up the good work Boker. By the way, you two guys are having way way too much fun during this episode. I hope you will return your pay checks to the boss (Mr Blade ?) since this does not look like work to me. Take care.

Ok guys here is my Kalashnikov story. I got mine from you guys at your very first store front in Lehi by the old family Dollar and you had to call for someone to meet you there so probably at least 20 yrs ago. This thing has been through hell and back. Camping, work, survival trips you name it. It's seen so much use the handle has no color left it's just aluminum now and never has it let me down still fires strong and has original spring blade is funny shape now but WTH. Has been sharpened on you name it from wet stones to a price of sandstone in the creek. I think I should bring it over and donate it to you guys to let people see just how tough these things are.

I lost a victorinox Swiss army knife in the woods for 2 years. It was found and returned by a family member and it still works. Toothpick and tweezers still in it.
I Own 3 Boker kalashnikov auto knives and love them. Pretty much all I carry. Just ordered the warthawk myself.
My Kalashnikov story...
I was carrying one in my back pocket while doing some work outside, when my son informs me we need to pick up some items for his return to college. We jump in my truck and off to the local Sams for the items. Apparently, I put enough pressure on the firing button while driving with this in my back pocket to allow the very tip of the blade to protrude out of the handle. Anyway, we get the needed items and are preparing to get back in the truck. Did I mention I usually carry my keys in my back pocket, but rarely ever carry a knife in my back pocket? So I’m patting my back pockets for keys, feel a little lump, and run my hand in my pocket......slicing my index finger from tip to the base of my finger. Deep. Bleeding profusely deep. Needing about 10 to 12 stitches, but have a $10000 deductible so I used super glue deep.
They say it’s not truly your knife until it bites you...... still one of my favorite autos. I just make sure it goes in a front pocket now.
Boker has definitely caught a lot of people’s attention, the Kalashnikov is very nice.

The Kalashnikov is pretty cool. I picked up a couple of the CA legal Sub Kalashnikovs and swapped the blade into the normal size Kalishnokov handle. Near perfect fit too with no other modifications.
I have one myself and have had it for many years. I just recently had to to replace the coil spring. I've had a lot of more expensive auto's break their spring before this one. The only bad thing is, they stopped putting the safety in. I'm not worried about it opening in my pocket but I love how it can be locked open which makes it stronger. They need to bring back the safety.
On a stainless blade satin or dlc is all about aesthetics. So Kurt, do you prefer the look of a coated or uncoated blade?
