I liked it better when they were just a 4-5 piece band. I remember seeing Joe at a bar in Broadripple, Indiana. It was me and maybe 30 other people. I happen to walk by and hear the blistering set. I walked in and was blown away! It was loud, fast, and in your face! I paid $5 or $10 to get in... melted my face! The following year he playing at our local bluesfest in Broadripple. I paid nothing... now, you can't see him.for less than $150 😢

And its also very easy for guitarists to become self-proclaimed masters/experts/greats/etc. The honest truth is that everything post-1966 is fake blues (not counting Rory Gallagher). Im sick and tired of guitarists who call themselves blues artists and are doing nothing more than auditory masterbation.

Has Joe Bonamassa gained a lot of weight? I have been a fan for awhile now and he doesn’t look good in this concert. Great talent and I love his music and his work on the guitar 🎸. He is one of the last people keeping us alive with the blues music.
Joe Bonamassa is a maestro on guitar. A child prodigy who played and toured with BB King from an early age. He’s been playing for over 50 years and is at his best today. I very much appreciate his talent, all he’s given, and all he’s shared. Check him out on UA-cam at Norm’s rare guitars and in Nashville. He crosses Rock, Jazz, Blues, and I expect Country soon. Great.

I play my Strats, I know lutherie, just compares with Bernard Allison, another REAL MASTER, completely underated, Greetings

I agree, however I do sometimes I like the more gravely and rawness of his prior voice. Esp the covers of old bluesy classics.

Joe is improving, he was never a great blues guitarist but is a very good rock guitarist. And his singing is more soulful and natural sounding.
