I think this might be the first time matt has asked everyone to leave the table so he could do a solo scene with a guest in the history of critical role.
Even having a Warlock who's dedicated to her patron descent shivers down my spine, I believe it's because my character does have a fear of other warlocks
I fully thought Dusk was attracted to Imogen and wanted Fearne to embrace her Fae side because she was actually a fae being. I was partially right, and also INCREDIBLY incorrect
I only wish you had included the bit just before Erika and Matt start talking. Erika's shift from terrified first-time RPer to cold deadly assassin was amazing.
Y'know what? This reveal made me very, _very_ happy. For the entire month that we were waiting for C3 to come back I was kinda worried about Dusk being Erika's lowest-effort character. Normally their characterization comes at odd angles, like Wine Mom Spider Queen in Escape from the Bloodkeep, or My Immortal Fanfiction Writer Who Is Secretly A Disney Princess, so a character that was basically "wide-eyed party newbie" seemed so, well, _basic_ in comparison. Thank God my initial assumptions were wrong, and intentionally so. Ya got me Ishii, ya fucking bamboozled me.
it is, others have had solo scenes but not ones where everyone had to leave the table, unless the very start of the campaign was solo imogen? pretty sure laudna and imogen were introduced in the same scene though
So, that whole scene was cool, but is the whole cast going to try and stay away from spoilers or something? Do they have to just act like they don't know now?
Unless the cast did not watch this scene at the Lobby, I think due to the pre-recorded nature of the episodes these days I think the episodes are two-three eps advanced before they are shown in Twitch, so I think the cast would not have watched it in Twitch beforehand, but maybe will learn it before us even watching it in Twitch but is live for them in the next one or two episodes. If what I said make sense. For example, the last episode of ExU Calamity was recorded (Tuesday night) right before the first episode was streamed (Thursday might same week).
@@jannfredryckmatias3545 Thank you. That did make sense. So we might have one or two episodes where they genuinely aren't aware of the secret conversation. Hopefully that character is able to stick around for a while after that though too.
@@darkmist2145 No probbo! And yeah, I agree-- I think they might drop the shoe or do the betrayal thing at the end of the next one or two episodes, too. Lots of wiggle room for story and development pre- and post-betrayal. I am also similarly interested in what happens after a guest PC betrays the cast this time with much more story after (I could mention one time this kinda happened before but it could be a spoiler) hahah if it will be a redeeming arc or a very tense one at the table.

When everyone came back and she was acting terrified. She's an impressive actress and role-player that's for sure.
Well she *is* a formally trained actor after all.
Just remember, she's "a gargoyle, a little, bisexual gargoyle".
A sus bisexual gargoyle
How could I tell she was Something Else just by looking at her.
@@Balthazar2242 It's a reference to the game changer survivor episode on Dropout that she was a part of. I highly recommend watching it!

Before the scene begins: "Goodbye friends"
After the scene ends: (If you know, you know.)😁

I always forget how little Erika is until they’re next to big people - when she grabs onto Travis and both her hands fit around his arm 🥹
Lou and Brennan are just sorta-kinda tall (I assume somewhere between 5'8"-5'10") and even they tower over Erika.

Aw, this clips the best part...her immediate turn to Evil Plotting Face
It’s been a long while since we had a guest player betray the whole party like this.
Not gonna lie, I had my suspicions but I thought it was going to go a whole different direction

This has serious "wrangling anxious kindergartners" energy and I love it
i hate this insight to her in the best possible way. it hurts every time she was being such an innicent ball of freedom and sunshine afterwards
…..wait is this really the first one in this campaign? Geez what a whopper lol
Yeah, all of Imogen's dreams have been in front of the whole cast
and what a scene it was... WTF DUSK!!!!!
Thank You! You put it into words, mines was more of the "I F**king Knew it!!!!"
If Erika has seen Critical Role before she knows about this one one ones and her panic is also an act. Which feeds into Dusk. Whats real anymore?!? :P
I missed this!
It was early on in the episode. I think it was one of the first scenes, if not the first.
Marisha's Laugh gives me pure joy!
What it feels like when the teacher disciplines one student alone.
