What I would do is try and stall the motor manually by grabbing the rotor then it would be a fight to the end of me Vs the motor to see if I could endure long enough to see the motor go up in smoke! If that didn't work then I would ram something hard into the motor and watch the smoke and fire come out of it anyway
My parents used to have a Maytag, I want to say it was a Neptune. It was one of the best washer and dryer we ever had. They got in the late 90s and it lasted until 2009 ish. That washer had the most unique spin cycle noise
Why would more money be put into an already several attempted repaired washer? It had ALREADY been repaired several times.... The owner was scrapping it
