Wonderful episode. Vic Morrow was just right for the role of the suave stranger. I have noticed a remarkable thing in this TV show, the female character is also given a crucial part to play, not just a show piece.
p.s. I liked Vic Morrow very much; he one excellent actor...and what a story this is. It may be the best episode I ever saw. It would have been great if Lassiter had stayed in the show. He reminded me some of Pernell Roberts. He had that complete coolness about him and he was confident and sure of himself. My! What a great story.
Vic Morrow is incredible in this episode, a mysterious character that makes all the difference here. Bonanza and its actors are unforgettable. Thanks for sharing, Grjngo!
Go Hoss! He blew that dude into the flames! LOL... And that woman, she finally did the right thing, but it took her too long to do it. Doing the right thing doesn't come easy for her. A woman like this in real life, is dangerous.
So sad that we will never have shows like this again. These days all we get are reality shows and talent shows.... Same shows with just a slight difference .... But I guess that's what people want.... Singers , masked singers .... Same shows different name
@linsqo piring Ikr, I'm literally a 90 pound women and I hate that stuff. I stopped watching Star Wars after "The Last Jedi" made Rey impossible, and treated Luke like trash.
At the beginning of the episode, when I heard they were about to hang our Adam, I almost fell off my chair. I was sad watching a wonderful performance by Vic Morrow, remembering his tragic end. RIP Vic
Lol , it seems they find that out every time in every episode because they are always getting in trouble and almost no one of their "friends" ever helps them they gotta do everything themselves to get out of it.
Brilliant. This is Ben Cartwright 's masterpiece. Sally is easily the best looking of the Bonanza women in this season so far. Difficult to understand why the townspeople hate the Cartwrights so much.
Perhaps , and perhaps not because kids imitating is such a common thing that they could have both thought of it independently. But very heartwarming scene indeed!
Unfortunately, Vic Morrow was killed making a movie, I won't go into too much description but suffice it to say it involved a helicopter top rotor blade. In this episode the fashion in which he became a somewhat silent good guy, it was obvious who he was looking for, especially after it was't :Ben Cartwright.
Bonanza & Gunsmoke were good series, well, some of them were. I used to watch GS a lot but watching Bonanza after a long time of not seeing it, I rather like it more... off & on. Maybe I watch too much sometimes because in each of the 2 series, there is often same old...same old things that get tiresome. In the Bonanza ones Adam & Ben are the best characters (I think) and the best actors. In here one may get tired of Little oe's constant temper all the time or Hoss' making those faces he always has to make for camera because Hoss is not the best actor. Then, I saw 2 episodes one day & I liked them both and since I always liked good film and good books I take in the story and often, if any care to examine them, there is a lot to learn from these characters and tho' I have seen very few good westerns (too much myth & so much made up, fake things,) many episodes really get me pondering...no doubt that is why it lasted 14 years. Adam is the best character in a western I believe & whoever created that character did well.

Vic Morrow, one of the best actors ever, especially in Combat! He never got all the recognition he so rightfully deserved.

Bonanza has really stood the test of time (2024) not many TV programmes can say that, if any. Brilliant episode for sure. One of the best I think.

i guess I am kind of randomly asking but do anyone know a good site to stream new tv shows online ?

RIP Vic Marrow
Unfortunately , he was killed on set during a helicopter chase. That cost him and the two children wuth him their lives
@@chadsevedra925 What a tragic thing to happen.
Vic Marrow was a hell of an actor.
It's vic murrow
Man, he swung up on that horse so gracefully! Wish I could do that!!
Thank you so much for the pleasure I've had watching these
Check out this other great series too! ua-cam.com/video/Aa30Ms8tUoA/v-deo.html
I like how the little boy watched Vic Morrow and copied his moves.
Always felt that this was a backdoor pilot for a proposed Vic Morrow led western series.
Benjamin Cartwright doesn't know how corrupt a Sheriff can be, especially when its not in Virginia City, Nevada.
Great episode. You don't see these types of heroes on TV anymore.
Yes one of best episodes cheers 👍
Hoss holding back hot-headed Little Joe a couple of times in this one.
My favorite Bonanza episode !
Go Hoss! He blew that dude into the flames! LOL... And that woman, she finally did the right thing, but it took her too long to do it. Doing the right thing doesn't come easy for her. A woman like this in real life, is dangerous.
So true that woman waited too long to come clean. it took the Stranger to call her out on her lies.
@@Harlowerayne And because of her lies the real killer might never been caught since the trail is so cold now.
@@Harlowerayne I hated her character in this .
Ikr, she's terrible! People can die because of women like her.
So sad that we will never have shows like this again. These days all we get are reality shows and talent shows.... Same shows with just a slight difference .... But I guess that's what people want.... Singers , masked singers .... Same shows different name
And even if there was a resurgence of western tv shows, they would be ruined by political correctness. 90 pound women beating up men like Hoss etc
@linsqo piring Ikr, I'm literally a 90 pound women and I hate that stuff. I stopped watching Star Wars after "The Last Jedi" made Rey impossible, and treated Luke like trash.
27:48, Vic Morrow made a true statement!
I love this show so much. This was awesome thanks for posting !

This is great episode, thanks for the uploading!!
That's one of the best episodes. I really enjoyed it.
The great vic morrow rip

Thanks for watching! 🤠👌🎬🍿
One of my favorites
Terrific episode Grjngo, an outstanding performance by Vic Morrow !!
Thank you! 🤠😃📽
I'm pretty sure Vic Morrow was in another episode. I think it was The Tin Badge.
That was a scary one for sure. Thanks
Very good very nice👍 👌👌✌🤩🤩😍🥰😘
Thanks 🤗
The Cartwrights found out who their real friends were.
Lol , it seems they find that out every time in every episode because they are always getting in trouble and almost no one of their "friends" ever helps them they gotta do everything themselves to get out of it.
I wonder if this wasn't a back-door attempt at a spin-off series for Vic Morrow. It sure seems like it.
Possibly. I would've watched a spin off show like that.
I heard it was supposed to be the Pilot for his show that never happened named "Lassiter".
Adam and Ben were on one side of each other in one scene on the gallows, and in the next, they were on opposite sides.
Brilliant. This is Ben Cartwright 's masterpiece. Sally is easily the best looking of the Bonanza women in this season so far. Difficult to understand why the townspeople hate the Cartwrights so much.
The script had a lot do with that....
Well, the Cartwrights tend to march to their own drummer...and they're rich...that's two things that many people can't really relate to...
15:13 i think this inspired that heartwarming scene in jaws
Perhaps , and perhaps not because kids imitating is such a common thing that they could have both thought of it independently. But very heartwarming scene indeed!
An ode to lone ranger
Just started watching the Lone ranger for free on youtube, after not having seen it for decades when I watched it as a kid. UA-cam is amazing.
Vic Morrow huh? I won't forget that name. Great actor.
Glad you enjoyed it! You may also enjoy this film: ua-cam.com/video/8u0qoXjk_UQ/v-deo.html

twilight zone movie. i believe he was carrying a child when the blade struck them.
So terrible how Vic Morrow died. And while filming the movie, The Twilight Zone.
yes, directed by Steven Spielberg. I was sad watching this episode knowing the tragic end to Mr Morrow.
And people forget that two children under the age of 8 died with him.
@@rosered103the film was directed by y Jon Landis, I believe Spielberg was a producer.
The hanging judge was sober.. he hadn't had drink. The only one on the scene.. missing.. was the Jack of Hearts.-- B.D. 1974.
I love how he never actually says it was his father they wrongly hanged, but it's so obvious by the end.

How could one say cheerful at any time a hanging is or call a rope a beautiful thing
