Just wonderful. All the positive comments you are receiving are richly deserved. I live in the far north of Scotland, on the NC500, and yet this was still a voyage of wonder and discovery for me too. Thanks so much for posting this.

What a lovely video, serene, blissful. The Highlands are so special, been lucky enough to visit on several occasions to explore and climb. It has such a calming influence, one of my very favourite places in the world.
Thanks, Martin. Indeed The Highlands are special, so many peaceful spots away from anyone or anything to be found.
Thank you for this wonderful film, the quality of your film making is superb.
Thanks for the kind words, Andrew! We really appreciate it.
Such captivating sights. Scottish nature is something out of a fantasy movie, but Scotland is ever so real.
Thanks for watching and appreciating. Scotland never ceases to impress us!
Seriously one of the most amazing countries on the planet. Three weeks was way too short to do it any justice. From Australia.
Couldn't agree more!

Child hood memory’s such amazing empty vast beaches
Glad to bring back the memories! Some truly breathtaking stretches of sand around the north coasts.
I am currently interested in camping/hiking videos. I stay in Scotland and was suffering over how rare are videos made so well as yours is! Well done! No useless talking, face only angle, random view covered by passing car... seriously... why people do that?!
Thank you guys!
Thanks for appreciating our work, Justyna! We like to let the scenery do the talking ; )
Hope you enjoy this slow travel journey around the wild highlands and islands of Scotland. As always, our detailed travel guides to help you plan your own similar adventure are over on our blog - www.goingthewholehogg.com/destinations/europe/united-kingdom/scotland/ - and linked in the description. Cheers! Kim & Del
Did you camp now in November? I want to go camping but I am not sure about how cold it might be. I slept on minus 3 last year and it was still ok! 😀
Great video!! I love Scotland...
@@pontoyapolishlowlandsheepd9867 This trip was in September last year. I guess it depends on your camping gear whether it would be too cold or not now to camp!
Just keep doing , what you are doing!!!!!
@@richarddickson3211 Cheers! We plan on it : )
Wow, your video has some really beautiful shots! Very artistic!
Absolutely stunning, reminds me what i'm missing a real uplift in these dark times. Thankyou for sharing.

Only 5 minutes in and I'm already a fan. Bravo!
Woo, thanks very much!
The Scotland my ancestors were pushed out of and where I will never get to. Thank you for showing the harshness but beauty that they lived in. Lorraine from New Zealand.
Thanks for watching, Lorraine. Where in NZ did your ancestors settle?
@@GoingTheWholeHogg Canterbury in the South Island. Many parts of the Scottish Highlands are very similar to parts of our landscape.
@@lorrainerichardson3280 they certainly are. We lived in NZ for a year and travelled around a wee bit. Lots of scenery reminded us of home! Some lovely places in Canterbury.
Lorraine, please go, you will love it. My grandparents rarely spoke about the old country as to them it meant starvation, death (TB) and poverty, and especially cold. But it's the most beautiful place on earth. My grandparents were paid 20 pound each to leave, back in the 20's. The head of the household got 100 pounds.
@@Chahlie No I won't be going, health prevents me as well as being terrified of flying. This is why I love watching clips from other peoples travels especially Orkney, around the border of Scotland and North East Ireland.
Thank you!! Family roots, Isle of Skye
Thanks for watching!
There is only one reason that Scotland is empty: it's cold, and wet, and in the winter it's dark too. I know, I live here, and I like it 🤣 . Sometimes it's blazing hot in the summer; that bit is unpredictable, and you cannot plan for it.
Very true!
haha ... i am from Glasgow, and lived in Australia for 15 years, i recently came back, a few years ago. i can confirm, nowhere in Scotland, is ever "blazing hot" :)
@@Retrospective. 18 degrees is blazing hot, no?
This is just stunning and probably the best footage I’ve ever seen of Scotland. What an incredible piece of work .
Thanks Jerome, we really appreciate that!
Just discovered you and your Vlog,. Stunning filming and editing, how have you managed to get the Drone shots , always think this would be very difficult off the coasts of Scotland . Thanks for sharing, so many parts of my own country I have never been to. 🏴
Thanks very much for watching. Glad to hear you enjoyed the video and we're very grateful for the appreciation. And you're not wrong, flying the drone can be challenging in certain conditions, and there were many times on this trip when we just couldn't get the shots. Got to take your chance when it presents itself. Thanks again.
that was so well put together , hardly any ads and great footage and music , outstanding many thanks !
Thank you! Very glad you enjoyed it : )

Fantastic! Wonderful videography.
I was born in Edinburgh and only made north as far as Fort William. Immigrated to the US 40 years ago. My wife and I decided to make a trip to SCO and drove the NC700, very similar to the NC500.
I was completed surprised just how magnificent SCO is. Your video captures the beauty and stunning nature of SCO.
Subscribed! Thanks guys!
Much appreciated, thank you! We know the feeling. As city dwellers for so long it really does surprise when you travel the country and get to witness the wonderful variety and beauty of Scotland. Thanks again!

Thanks Angie, very glad to hear you have enjoyed some of these sights for yourself too! Yeah, she's a real beauty : )
Gorgeous video! We are just started our channel in 2020. I hope we can get up to the quality you have here. I really liked it! Scotland is definitely on my bucket list. I'm American, but with a bit of Scottish, Welch and mostly Norwegian in my roots. Happy New Year! Thx, Ken
Hi Ken, Happy New Year to you too! Glad you enjoyed seeing Scotland through our eyes. This trip really cemented for us how stunning our country really is and we were just left with a desire to get back out and see more. Best of luck with the channel. It takes a bit of time to get going but if you work hard and keep learning then improvement comes along. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
My beautiful country, Scotland forever!
Yep, she’s a beaut!
Wow absolutely beautiful, you guys have inspired me to see more of Scotland 💙

i have one word to describe this video, it is just magical, exactly what we need in this pandemic times, keep hiking and making good content
Very kind words, thank you! And so glad to hear you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching and appreciating.
Absolutely stunning! Thanks so much. You really let the scenery do all the talking and created a real sense of relaxed calm in an endless landscape. Many of the other NC500 videos feel rushed.
Thanks, Andy! Very glad you enjoyed the video, that's exactly the feeling we were trying to create.
This is just amazing work. Peaceful, meditative and inspiring. Great job!
Thank you! Greatly appreciate it : )
