The Zayn v. Owens match was one of the best matches I've ever seen
It was amazing but I'd say there are a lot of other matches better than it. I.e., HBK v. Undertaker at Mania 25, Rollins v. Cena at SS 2015, Nakamura vs Zayn at Dallas TO

I haven't seen the whole match, but was watching WWE's twitter for results and they showed a video of the move. To me it certainly looks like a botch as KO tried to move in quickly to try and stop Sami landing on the apron. But I think after that, they decided to add attacking Sami's injury on the fly and incorporating it into the match.
Definitely a botch. His spring off the ropes wasn't right so he didn't have the proper rotation, luckily Owens caught it and went in to play out the move from being too much of a disaster.

The one thing that I hated about Battleground was the predictability regarding the U.S and I.C titles as it was incredibly obvious that Miz would retain as soon as Rusev retained because you can't have both titles on Raw.

Nah c'mon. Highlight Reel segment was gold. Jericho is brilliant in this gimmick, Randy doing the usual baby face shtick whilst it all being very comical, and they had to start the promotion with Lesnar, as well as plant seeds for the Jericho/Orton feud after Summerslam.
Nope! Maggle Cole mentioned later on the night that Bayley was a "one off" and on the WWE UA-cam channel Sasha & Baylely gave an interview where admitted it was one off and she was going back after the NXT title. Sorry Adam! 😢

There was a really great character building moment that kind of got lost in the shuffle, and kind of showed off Ambrose's attitude towards authority and being on Smackdown. When he had that promo with Bryan and Shane and both of them were just building him up like crazy, and Ambrose responded very casually, as if nothing about that night was a big deal and it was probably one of my favorite moments of the night.
Am I the only one that thoroughly enjoyed and lol'd at the Highlight Reel segment?

The Jericho segment was really good. My only improvement would be if randy insulted Chris which led to a code breaker attempt that got countered into an RKO, but other then that I enjoyed it. The only problem I have with the whole show is the IC title finish. I also wanted both man to win for different reasons, but the ending was just so bad.
That KO vs Zayn... a match of perfection...

I loved, loved, LOVED Orton on the Highlight Reel. Shit was amazing and "trended worldwide!!" lol
For a shock to the Highlight Reel, I would have had Jericho trash talk, introduce Randy Orton, RKO straight away and then a promo on Brock Lesnar with the 'no enhancement needed' line. Quick and simple with a memorable moment.
Honestly the triple threat was one of the best ever since, it was the first time I watched a whole match in a long time.
I enjoyed the highlight reel, it was way more interesting than nearly every talk show segment in the last months. You felt that Orton was truly happy to be back and they both simply had a good chemistry.
SZ vs KO was easily one of the best matches of the year, if not the best. The whole botch/kayfabe thing had me wondering about the match in a way I've never ever been. Great ppv overall, but these two guys stole the show. It's been a while since I saw a crowd enjoying a match like that.

I totally agree with Adam the only minor complaint I have is that I actually quite enjoyed the Highlight Reel promo and Orton's RKO was just perfect but yeah I think Battleground 2016 just became one of my favourite PPVs in the past 5 years and one of my most anticipated for the years to come who ever thought it's gonna become so good back in 2013

One of the best PPVs of the year. I loved the Triple Threat and Owens and Zayn. All of the performers brought their A game.
Finally! Someone who agrees with me completely! I felt the exact same way about every match as Adam B. did. ZAYN-OWENS WAS PHENOMENAL. I've felt this way only about one other match this year. All in all, a great show.
the look on The Uso's face while rooting for Ambrose along with the SD roster backstage was priceless...
And then, to see them hoisting ambrose over their shoulders after the win.. spillover effect from Roman's punishment, i suppose
Only thing that bothers me is that there was not a single title change. I just like it better if there is atleast one belt changing hands, good ppv however.

Shield Triple Threat was amazing. Roman booed out of DC. There was a guy next to me who was a Roman fan though.. Hurts my insides... When Dean won I don't really think anybody expected it and it was awesome

Just wondering how do you guys watch wrestling like I have the network subscription but all raw and smackdowns come out one month after release date so the only thing I can watch is the pay per views and this week in WWE but I still miss all of the matches

I don't understand the Miz/Young match because it couldn't have been a count out because the ref was at 3 when Young went after Miz. Can't be DQ because Maryse nor Backland actually attacked the wrestlers. Young placed Miz into the Chicken Submission and the ref just ended it immediately.
On the WWE website it said that it ended in a double DQ because apprently Miz attacked Bob Backlund which is perfectly legal I thought, and also Darren Young "refused" to let up the submission hold. Pretty dumb if you ask me

Sami Zayn vs KO actually had me in fucking tears. I've never cried watching a wrestling match. The fucking storytelling. I thought I was watching the tragic ending of a movie. I'm so glad Whatculture got me back into wrestling.

The thing that annoyed me about the shield triple threat was how Roman didn't sell the turn buckle power bomb. He just stood up and superman punched him. It was weird.
I actually enjoyed the Highlight Reel with Jericho and Orton; but yes, it did drag along a bit too much. It was good entertainment IMO... also, Lana's undies were shown during the main event when the camera was showing the locker room during the match... it wasn't there for long but you could definitely see them. ;)
Cena, Enzo and Cass vs The Club was my match of the night. Loved New Day vs Wyatts as well
