  • Cully Cavness is the Co-Founder of Crusoe, a company that captures wasted natural gas flares to power hundreds of modular data centers deployed throughout the oilfields of America. Cully shares his entrepreneurial story, explains the innovative technology behind Digital Flare Mitigation, and shows how converting flares into bitcoins, artificial intelligence and graphics creates surprising environmental benefits.

He is an energy industry professional with a passion for innovative environmental solutions. Prior to co-founding Crusoe, Cully served in leadership and management positions in the upstream oil & gas industry and geothermal energy industry as well as in energy investment banking. Cully holds an undergraduate degree in geology from Middlebury College, an MBA from the University of Oxford and is a Thomas J. Watson Fellow in the subject of energy economics. Cully was named as a 2021 Entrepreneur of the Year by EY, and has won numerous awards for leadership as well as environmental and technology innovation.
