@@jonternk That's true. After another 40 minutes of playing I miraculously got the score of 28. Haven't got close since but even after completing the tutorial I am still a bit lost with the mechanics and what to pay attention to like leveling up the bracelet or how in the world to use the powers. I also don't really understand if stomping is viable as I just keep dying.
@@mepish take my advice with a grain of salt because my pb is only 93, but I've found stomping to be a good way to stun the snakes and scuttles. I find if I'm getting overwhelmed or i need to grab a power up that's surrounded by snakes, it helps to shotgun jump 2 or 3 times to put distance, then stomp to return to the ground quickly and regain control.

while holding RMB, point at the other gems you wanna suck up and click LMB on each one. you can grab items while charging a laser this way too.
