That's a good idea. He could have some videos where he just paints and doesn't talk. He could charge to watch and I'd pay. I never get tired of watching either.

I appreciate so much the way you've laid everything out in front of the viewer. Every bit of it has something to teach. I loved watching this and can really use these pointers (especially for negative painting and how different colors imply distance😊

Sharing technique no one knows :) The guy separated the light part from the dark part. Wow.
I am impressed. I would not have thought of that.

I really enjoy your demonstrations. You make it look almost effortless, but I know that results from thousands of hours of practice and thinking.

I'd always heard that watercolor painting requires "planning." What plan? This did not make sense until now. Thanks, Andy. (Appreciate all the preparation you did for this video.)

Great vid. How often do people varnish their watercolor paintings afterwards? With something like a cold wax medium or whatever works.

I feel1) Fast colour mixing 2) Negative painting 3) washes.....these three are most important as a beginner in watercolor. If as Ia beginner if I could practice these 3 separately... thoroughly....I think watercolor is much easier...I realised this after 4 years of watercolor...I know very slow brain ..but this might help others. Also I feel at least 100 sheets of watercolor paper should be filled and wasted... willingly happily...to lose that high expectations

      U r absolutely right.
      I cannot deny at all.
I feel d same problem while doing the trials day after day.

Your last line is immortal !!
More than 100 sheets are to tried & "wasted" happily with a smiling face & mind ... very very true !!
Again this is very true for other mediums also -- namely soft pastel art ... etc.
      Thank u ...

Sounds good! Husband bought me stacks of wc paper which isn’t my preference, but that sure is a good idea of how to put a decent dent in it. 😂👍

Maybe I missed something but did he wet the paper back and front before beginning. I have to pre mix my colours as the paper dries so fast . Would love to mix on the go but it's always a panic stage getting it on quickly or getting blooms everywhere as it dries . 😢

I still feel darks aren't dark enough...however if Andy planned like that...it's perfect...but for me more darks would be better

  • @sujanithtottempudi2991

I always felt his tonal variation isn't much...I'm a beginner in watercolor according to myself...so my opinion maybe not correct...but for me it's doesn't ring a bell...I go by my inner instinct experience...not just by famous names
