- The vast majority of Jehovah's Witnesses do not know what the Watchtower teaches about this vital subject. This video contrasts what the Bible says about Jesus as mediator with what the Watchtower says. I really enjoyed the video Mark.
In the last few months I've given myself permission to do research outside of watchtower sources.
I've found that bible truths are so simple when you strip away the complicated doctrines.
I've had some 'interesting' conversations with my family and they think I have apostate leanings. I feel like I have to control my zeal when speaking to them like when I first learned "the truth".
I partook of the memorial at home for the first time ever, I now accept Jesus as my mediator and it felt so good to obey Jesus' command to partake.

I understand what you mean by having to control your zeal for your new found understanding of the Father and His Son when witnessing to your JW family and friends. One of the ways the org keeps members is by the, as you called them, "complicated doctrines". This makes the rank and file JW believe that they cannot understand the Bible. But as you said Bible truths are simple! I hope to be able show this more and more to JW's on this channel. Thank you for your testimony and thank you for watching!

Hi Mark, as always I listen to your videos with interest. During a long recovery from cancer , I took the opportunity to "get to know my religion(JW)" better. My wife and I were always in very rural areas,isolated group's,often only my wife and myself. (where the Bible was the main literature) due to occupation as Mining Engineer and Mine Manager. After 50 years now exposed to urban congregations, and in the course of the "get to know", I firs(I mean Really) the first came across the statement that Jesus was the mediator for only the 144000, and to cap it all that Jesus was Michael??. I called the elders and asked them to substantiate from the Bible. Well they could not, the one said"You have been reading Apostate material". I replied vehemently, "Are you calling me an apostate?" He did backtrack and apologised. He invoked the GB and I said nether they or any man has authority over my religious observations. He said , well Hudson if you have no faith in the GB/watchtower were would we go. I replied ,it is to whom and that is Jesus. This was very sad as we had known and come to love them and their families. Unfortunately I am very wary of religion as a whole. However I will keep on with your discussions
Brother Hudson, Thank you for sharing your personal testimony! I completely understand being wary of religion. I hope these videos help JW's and ex-JW's to cope with the difficulties of waking up to the reality that the organization is not "the truth". I want to continue to encourage them to keep studying their Bible so they can come to a personal relationship with the Father and His Son! As you know, this sounds odd to the JW because they equate the organization with Jehovah. In their mind Jehovah and the org and the org is Jehovah. You are so right, it's "to whom shall we go"! Hi Mark zI am so glad I ran accross your videos. I almost died last July from a serious fall I had and they brought up the blood issue. Well I was so scared and almost out of consciousness because I lost so mich blood. Well the Dr nurses and my Dr said The rd must be a higher power because you should of been gone. Well it woke me up because my God Jehovah and his son Jesus Christ did not want me to die and glad and very grateful I didnt neet the blood issue. I have left now and faded after 35 years of babtized witness. And I agree with you I will do it again and take the transfusion if I have to stay alive!!!

I can't believe that I didn't know JW's believed this until recently. 30+ years baptized and had no clue. I am so happy to be disassociated from that organization now and coming to know the real truth about Jesus.

This video was AWESOME!!!! I am so excited to find it. I used to study with the Witnesses and when I learned that Jesus only mediates for the 144,000 ( I don't believe what the Watchtower teaches about them), I started to feel that I should not get baptized as a Witness. There are several teachings that I find suspect and one major red flag is that the Witnesses do let the Watchtower tell them what to believe. I mean no disrespect to current Witnesses who may be reading this comment. My step brother and his family are witnesses and I was seriously considering becoming one as well at one time. But there are just too many teachings that I don't believe are true. One example is who the "other sheep" are in John 10:16. I think it's obvious that the "other sheep" are not the "earthly class" but the Gentiles. I was told by one of my study teachers that if I didn't get baptized as a Witness I would be destroyed at Armageddon. This was one of MANY red flags that eventually caused me to stop studying with them. I don't believe that our Creator is so narrow minded that only Witness will be saved. For this reason I do believe that he looks into our hearts to see who truly loves him.

I was born in 3rd generation and just sat there and believed every single thing they said until I was about 40yrs old. Now I can’t believe how naive, stupid, gullible and brainwashed I was. I had NO idea the GB claimed that they were the sole mediator thru Jesus! This video was like a slap in the face, but I’m so glad I found it.
I left over 10yrs ago for other reasons, starting with the selling of our paid off, fully functional Kingdom Hall that split families and caused terrible hardships to the elderly and poor rural witnesses for no apparent reason. Well now the reason is fully apparent because it was all about greed and total control. But that’s another story.

Hi Mark. Your speaking abilities and reasoning with logic, not "persuasion", is very easy to follow and understand. I must say that I was raised to believe "you will not die" as the primary foundation of faith. Does this promise not sound all too similar to the 1st lie "you positively will not die?" Now that i wasted the 1st half of my life, I have been playing catch up to survive. The figurative goal posts have moved long past the end zone, now in the parking lot.

I'm praying about showing this video to my daughter. She had a dramatic deliverance from cocaine and cigarettes, I KNOW Jesus heard me! I'm not a witness, my daughter started studying with her sister in-law who is. Please pray for our family, the children have been in foster care and my daughter is working very hard to get them back. I'm a new widow, my husband died about two years ago
Mark, you have a marvelous ministry going on here. I too feel that I was spring boarded, God can make good of any bad situation. Mention of the witness who knocked on the door reminded me of what happened to my niece 2 years back, but it was the polar opposite, would you be interested to hear what happened?it helped wake me up.

It is such an important issue and every JW I have spoken to does not believe me when I say that the Watchtower teaches that most JWs do not have Jesus as their mediator.
Hello RiverDanube. Thanks so much for watching! Unfortunately the vast majority of the JW's do not know that this is what the organization teaches regarding our mediator Jesus. Perhaps you could make a copy of the Watchtower article and/or the book I referenced and show them from their own publications. The sad fact is, even when shown, many times it makes no difference. Most seem to either justify the organizational teaching, or they simply believe the truth about the mediator but stay silent for fear of losing their family and friends.
Mark Martin Thank you for your encouragement. I do discuss this with JWs, they all deny that their official teaching is that Jesus is not their mediator. Although I had one JW return to my home saying the teaching was correct. She printed out two pages from a Watchtower and read it out to me to explain why. At the end I commented that I was amazed, since it took two pages to explain why the Bible that clearly states at 1 Timothy 2:5 that Jesus is mediator for all men, is wrong. She just made mumbled something and left. But on her first call she had firmly denied it as a JW teaching.
I have spoken with my wife about this subject and indirectly so... pointing out exactly what the watchtower teaches. She sadly was insistent that I wasn’t reading it right. I went on to show her pretty much everything you have mentioned in this video, but still she denies it to be true. Naturally I brought my findings to an elder whom also did not want to have the discussion. I have subsequently been on the end of what is called soft shunning, due to my not being a baptised Witness.
I get emotional every time i here this talk. This is the 3rd time. Im happy to know the truth but i have ptsd. Im so saddened to remember all the lies i once believed

I was stunned watching this video. Mark asks 8 questions at the end...I only want one addressed: So what does it mean when anyone in KH says at the end of his prayer..."I ask this prayer in the name of or King Christ Jesus"...what do we/they think it means?

I will use these questions. I think they need a tool to keep us in; using the 144,000 as the middle man keeps us compliant. Thank you for helping to wake us up to the real truth.
I discovered your channel in the last couple of days . I was born into the Jehovah’s witnesses, but never baptized. My parents sort of moved and faded out. I never knew much about the religion other than what I was not allowed to do. They kept a lot of the beliefs such as no blood and no celebrating holidays . After all these years they haven’t answered my questions, so I recently have been watching videos in search of answers. Especially the videos on blood transfusions, since about two years ago when my dad rejected blood after having internal bleeding . He is lucky to be alive. I plan to put together all the information and present it to my parents. That way I know I tried to show them in a calm constructive way.
I’m wondering if you have a video that explains more about the 144,000? I am really curious about it. I remember being a kid at the Kingdom Hall and thinking this is confusing.

Thank you for your kind words. I may make a video on the 144,000 in the future. I gave a lecture on the topic a few years ago on another UA-cam channel. The Bible really doesn't say much at all about the 144,000. This number is only mentioned in two places, Revelation 7 and Revelation 14. Almost all of what the organization teaches about the 144,000 is conjecture and cannot be found in the Bible.

You're either in the flesh or in the Spirit. Born again or not. Jesus will be your judge or your Savior depending on which state you are in when you die. That's the two groups.....
November 16 1979 the president of the watchtower said " if you are not mediated by christ as the 144,000 are who is your mediator and of course it comeback to the organization is your mediator
NTW is the only translation that inserts 'sorts of'
All the detail complicates matters unnecessarily, if we take into consideration the way we pray, Jesus is our everything in hindsight. We have direct access to Jehovah God and then at the end of our prayer we acknowledge Jesus as the doorway we stepped through in approaching God.
JW GB introduced these hierarchies in very subtle ways, and these days you are likely to hear the question: "is what you are saying from the GB?" And if you can't say yes what you are saying is rejected by other JWs. How did we get here?

So Jesus' so called appointing of the WBTS in 1919 after inspecting the earth's religions is the catalyst for this teaching. This is a "back door" way of stressing adherents to revere the society and its ever changing doctrines while " in a sense" still giving Jesus an authority over mankind. If the bible clearly directly states that there is only one way to the Father how did this teaching hold its propensity for almost 100 years?

If you are the earthly class Jesus is not your mediator, also you are not the other sheep, also you are not the great crowd. The bible was only written for the Hebrews and the bride of Christ.

I can answer with a resounding YES! The Greek word anthropos which was translated "men" simply means humanity, human being, mankind or humankind. This would include both men and women. I hope this helps. Blessings to you.

That is why jw are not allowed to partake the emblems during the memorial.only the so called anointed are allowed.
