- As a Jehovah's Witness you have been taught that Satan was cast out of heaven in the year 1914 C.E. Is this true? Can you really prove this from both the Bible and from history? Over 30 years I was a Jehovah's witnesses ..ten years as an elder..and I totally missed this rather clear scriptural and historical explanation...this is what happens we let 8 men ( a govening body )in Warwick interpret the Bible for you .

Thank for pointing this out. Even though I no longer participate in the JW’s, i am still working on deprogramming what I was forced to learn as a child.

I never thought about it that way. Satan getting kicked out of Heaven around Jesus’ death and resurrection makes far more sense that Watchtower’s teaching. Thanks for sharing!

The walls of the Watchtower is slowly crumbling away bit by bit, with the word of truth, I hope it will tumble down in my lifetime, as I near the age of 80, I was part of that soul-destroying organization for over 30 yrs, through prayer and research, the only conclusion I could come to, that it was a man-made religion I thank God as I look back for the courage to leave it back in 2017, I lost a lot of friends in the organization, even though I get shunned, but I found a long-lasting friend in Jesus, all fear has left me, the fear of being shunned, truth has set me free, free indeed, I'm a Sabbath-keeping Christian who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
That's interesting cause Rev 12:5 gives a hint when it says “And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.” Verses10-11 tell how the devil was overcome when it says “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” And the testimony is what is mentioned at Luke 24:44-48. So from the context year 1914 is out of the question

Agree! I was in for 27yrs. And never noticed how this org. Have bypass Jesus! They really don’t know what it means when Jesus said! I’AM the way, truth and life! That’s why we never seen these things but remained lullabied.

I'm an active witness and honestly I never believe it was 1914 why would jehovah allow to live up there so long never made sense,so you have some hard points my brother. The problem with the organization really is the gb they are misrepresenting jehovah and should be removed because the faithful slave is not them, its those who are faithful during the time of the great tribulation

Thank you Martin I like to hear what you have to say I like to ask you a question in 19 19 Jesus came back to inspect the religious organisations or churches at this time and he found only one that he approved of which was known at the time as Bible students and Jehovah Witnesses didn't change their name until the 1930s so he could not have chosen them am I right in thinking this

With this and other similar doctrines, it is interesting to ask why
Watchtower does not mention these scriptures that obviously either do
have or may have a bearing on the subject. Why? If they were honest,
they would mention these other scriptures along with their reasons why
they do not apply in this case. But they never do. Either they are so
incompetent they never noticed them, which is inconceivable, or they
deliberately avoid mentioning them because they know it would undermine
their argument. I think this line of reasoning presents an almost more
powerful damnation of the religion than the individual doctrines
themselves.

Excellent reasoning. I figured this out months ago reasoning on Jesus's words: now means now, at the present time. Indoctrinated for 35 years, the name " Jehovah ", is disturbing. Please use Our Heavenly Father instead , as that is what Jesus told us to do.
