Endeavor was meant to be almost pure Arch. It is best to think of it as a full-features Arch installer with some extra tools.

For me the thing that separates Endeavour OS from Arch is the fact that there are performance modes I can choose from and even make them change automatically depending on whether I'm plugged into a wall or not. My laptop has a 45 Wh battery so this feature is a must-have.

    Alaoha J !
Good video, worth testing, Endeavor vs Garuda. I would mention CONKY , is great to see a BiG Picture of the PC op. I liked the Kernel selections option as you learn, glad you added this. Mahalo !

Thanks, Jeremy. I have been on Ubuntu for 5 years. Now/But... 22.04 broke several packages, and I still don't have Dolphin fixed. Dolphin! I mean, really? Was considering Manjaro, because of previous experience, but someone else pointed out what might be called quality control issues... so, I started looking for information about Endeavour. Found you. Now I am subscribed. Thanks again. Keep making the vids! I have been away from it for a while because of real life work demands. Hoping to get back to it though. Again. Thanks.

Great review. I agree with all your points. Yeah, yay is really great compared to something like Discover.

Endeavour os for me is like Arch, but easier and way more stable, atleast in my experience

What's up with the Endeavor install errors ? Its fussy to install. The Off Line - installer seems to work - but then - it also has the error where the program will only boot directly into the BIOS ? I hope they can iron this issue out. Also I like the "I know the plans I have for you" frame on your wall. Its a great verse.

KDE desktop environment is the best. I would recommend Garuda Linux Dragonised edition, it is arch based and has the most beautiful out of the box customisation I have ever seen. The only reason I switched to Endeavour is that I was having battery issues on Garuda, it took a whole day to customise my Endeavour install to look like Garuda, but ot looks amazing now and without any battery issues.

I love my endeavour os install, the only thing I hate is the touchpad gestures are not smooth and convenient like windows, if I get the touchpad working perfectly, I am wiping my windows partition for good.

Apple/ Mac- the evil words- they burnses us!!! Ahhhhh! -LOL Endeavor is very cool and very close to stock Arch. Manjaro is awesome, but it is a step removed from Arch and seems to be getting "corporatized". Arco is also excellent and very close to stock arch.

Great video to be honest, Mac is #1 even though you can't alter settings and manipulate files it has its benefits. I have never been DDossed with Mac, but with a day in Linux unfriendly neighbours. Mac will always be my favourite, more user-friendly and welcoming. Windows is also great, just needs more security and to automatically shut pots not in use then Linux. Linux you have to hope the OS won't install remote control apps behind your back.

Linux I Is the only OS that is open source So if you’re worried about built-in Malware such as “remote control apps” then Linux Is the only iOS that you know for certain doesn’t have it. Send since Mac and windows are closed source you have no idea what you’re installing on your computer
