I've listened to probably every Alastor-inspired song that has popped up since the original pilot, and hands down this is my favorite, no competition. Maybe I'm biased as a metal fan but the raw emotion in your vocals is just....damn bro lol.
It feels like Al is struggling with his genuine pleasure in watching others suffer while trying to ignore any negative feelings in himself. He is where he thinks he belongs, so why waste energy trying to change that, when he can have unimaginable power and fun right where he is. Even if it comes with pain he can never voice. Idk it's 4:30am and I have feelings.
Also Adam wishes he were half as metal as the jazz era demon.

“It’s just a place that I know well” is such a great line
The thing I love about this song, lyrically, is that it wrests away the cockiness from “Al” and hands the confidence and spook factor back to him via his behavior in the pilot. Which is what _Alastor_ desperately needs. The shift from confident and mysterious and spooky/scary to just cocky and sort of tone deaf (it gets better as the entire season progresses to where we’re at the finale and his attitude shifted to “wait I’m actually super powerful and only under some other demon’s thumb that I need to get out from under them” has made him have horror elements again, but that is only during his breakdown and I hope he maintains it as an undercurrent for season two, so we see how him being cocky and a bit of an idiot is basically yet another mask) with most of what he does coming across as annoying/him being somewhat pathetic and not this horrifying Overlord who should control all tech and stop it from going past a point because he hates anything after… probably the end of the Second World War, and enforcing it with an iron grip as the true _Radio Demon_ who should have complete control over all wireless tech and just tank Vox’s empire into “everyone is evil and redemption is stupid, and here’s why.” It makes him back to being unnerving and I miss pilot Alastor for that very reason.
Love this as always. He not only “can’t be saved” he clearly doesn’t want to bed and sees it as a waste of time.

This is honestly how I expect Alastor’s background underneath his smile. Of course he’s not all bad but I do think he suffers from some kind of self worth issues. Always wanting to be the smartest, most powerful person in the room. Could be why he got so insecure when Lucifer showed up. He definitely has issues. *Beautiful song that made me go “oh shit they went there” ( **1:09** ) at times and honestly I love it*

I'm a huge fan of Hazbin Hotel and Alastor is my favorite amongst all those demons. You could've told me that this was an actual song in the show and I'd believe it.
Now onto FABVL, a good bit of songs from last year paved the way for this beautiful track and the one that stands out the most to me is "Glitch". This also feels like those early 2000s rock/pop bands like The Used, All American Rejects, Green Day, and such. This was such a nostalgic listen while being a bouncy, modern day blast!
I hope Alastor doesn't get redemption, I'd prefer if he became a nasty wake up call for Charlie that there are people who are truly pure evil. She already knows that some don't *want* to change but that's not the same as not being *able* to. I'd like for her to get hit with a reality freight train that shows her that there does exist people who have no shred of light within them. That not every sinner is a tragic lost soul.

Nah, they're already sowing the seeds of Charlie breaking him. He damn near had a mental breakdown over the possibility that he was actually willing to die defending the hotel, and this is just the first season.
I think he is going to get a lot worse before he gets better, like taking the spot of main antagonist bad, but he straight up called the other people in the hotel his friends without saying anything to the contrary. On some level he does care, despite himself.
I know he is constantly on about how redemption is a pointless endeavor, but... the Radio Demon doth protest too much...
Not to mention this is a world where the most evil and duplicitous being in the entirety of Christian canon is a cinnamon roll. I just don't think Viv is making that kind of show, y'know?

The idea that he would been remembered as an altruist infuriated him. I do believe he will get redemption though, I just hope I'll be proven wrong and that they will do a twist where he becomes completely unredeemable, like permanently killing a popular character to cement to the fans that he's beyond saving. I just love it when a more comedic and positive show suddenly turns frighteningly dark

My only complaint is that a work of art like this should be longer.
This might be my favorite FABVL (and just song in general) ever. Every part is catchy and epic. It captures Alastor's personality perfectly. His nihilism, sadism, and even his twisted sense of humor are all observable throughout the song. Its perfect. It really is a song that makes you wan to say "f*** it, I'm gonna go have fun. We're all f***** anyway", which I'm assuming was the goal. Absolutely perfect.
By listening to the entire music, you can almost interpret that "I know I can't be saved" as a cry for help. Maybe Alastor thinks he's lost, and that's why he keeps doing things his way. It's an interesting thought. I can't wait for looking at Alastor's face when he discovers that redemption is possible.
