I'm a new subscriber. A UA-camr I watch recommended you and I had to start watching, my husband is from Uruguay.. such a beautiful country with the absolute most humble people!
I have recently stumbled upon your amazing vlogs. In December I visited Kenya in the Kisumu area for mission purposes. I was searching for videos to watch on that area because I miss the land and the people. Thank you so much for your Kenya videos, it's almost as good as being there. Anyway, I have binge watched a ton of your videos and embarrassingly now feel like you guys are my best friends. I anxiously await your new videos and am catching up on all of the rest when I can!! Lol! Thank you so much for your sweet spirits and the way you let your positivity shine through.
Love this! Yay! We love Kenya too :) I feel like I'm best friends with lots of people I haven't met in real life so I totally get it! Haha glad you like our videos :) -Kara
oh!! and if you are planing go to the east, there are some places that may be are intresting for you, like "el Aguila" at a town call Atlantida that has a very beautiful promenade, and then of course, the must see places, Piriapolis, Punta Ballena, Punta del Este, Jose Ignacio, (Rocha as a typical uruguayn town), la Pedrera and Cabo Polonio
Crazy how much Karas t shirt is matching her eyes. Never seen a so clear watch before. Awesome. :) Those sandwiches with the sausages looks insanely good. I have to make that for dinner one night.
Awesome vlog!! You keep doing them better. As a Uruguayan I would definitely say you captured nice spots of Montevideo (in this video and the one before). Hope you visit the coast (Punta del Este is a must). I saw form your story in instagram you are in La Paloma. Enjoy the beach! You need to try bizcochos and drink Colet in the afternoon!
You mentioned eating at the table gets charged differently than eating at the counter is quite similar to Italian's tavolo fee in many cafes, probably Uruguay owns a lot of Italian influences other than Spanish culture.
beautiful video, thanks for showing Montevideo that way!! If it is not too late, you should visit those places in Montevideo: Mercado Agricola, Cerro de Montevideo, Torre de Antel (awsome view from the top), Torre de la Intendencia(awsome view from the top), Palacio Legislativo and Plaza Cagancha. In the neighborhood of Pocitos you should walk thrugh "21 de diciembre" street and "ellauri" street. You also should visit Parque Rodo and of course Hotel Carrasco.
Hey Kara and Nate! As a fellow traveler, can you talk about some behind the scene things that aren't always talked about in a video?- like what data plan you use on your phone, who carries all the moneys and essential when out on the town?do you wear hidden pockets underneath? Any new items you brought with you on this trip or decided to leave at home? Thanks
Been watching the series for the past couple of months. Now that COVID-19 is here for awhile, I'm watching several clips a day instead of just 2-3. Was hoping for an Food Tour in Buenos Aires but oh well...
I hope you have tried the half and half drink. a pleasure to receive people like you, in my small and humble country , by the way very good shots bro so clear. forget it, nobody told you Nate, that you look like Ronaldo real madrid futbol player?
Noooo lol! Only Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay have that large of a European influence. Hopefully yall realized that when you got further north. South America, like the US is EXTREMELY diverse.
@@echoguitarist yeah they did. But they imported MILLIONS of African slaves. And thousands Asian indentured servants. Not to mention all the natives that are there.
Love you guys' videos! What was the best three weeks you had last year, and where were you/what did you do/ why were they the best? My wife and I are planning a vacation for after I graduate, and we'd love your input! Everest looks amazing.
Love your new Vlogs! But Everest is still my favorite!! By the way did anybody else notice the old guy checking out Kara when they entered the market? ;-)
YaY! I love the food tours DIY or one of the guided ones. Still trying to get caught up...I saw a "5 best travel Vloggers' here on YT. They got NOTHING on the two of you.
in a time the 88% of the people who lived in Buenos Aires where foreigners, only 12% argentinians. To Argentina came people from alll over Europe and some Asians too, because of our economy, here they could have work easily. For like 5 years Argentina was the 6 th world power.
pretty amazing presentation traveling vlog; I love it. Now I am watching every day. Have a great 2017 traveling adventure. I have some attitude from you.
The hosts that stay with you are donig it to meet people from around the world would be my guess how better to get to know people and customs from other country's then to invite them into your home
I wish Americans would be more specific “ it’s like Europe” . Europe is a continent not a country and is completely diverse with massive architectural differences from place to place.
I would love to be a full time traveller but I wonder where to get the money? Did you guys work hard before and that's how you get the financial support?
+Koo Gene Yap We saved up for 1 year of travel (2016) and now we have a few different ways we are supported, one being ad revenue, and the rest you can find on our website :)
You guys are amazing and I'm kind of glad you take the bus everywhere because you get to experience with the locals experience but I'm starting to think that Kara can eat you under the table Nate any day the girl has a good appetite you are both Foodies
I have to disagree with you going to Cabana Veronica in the market and only getting the Chorizo because it was the cheapest thing on the menu. I don't know how serious you are about the food side of your vlogs but like any other unique place or activity that you do on your travels that you can't do or see at home, food is the same way and there are times when spending a little extra at a certain place is truly worth it because it can and will give you an experience and taste you just can't get at home, at least not at the same price point which seems to be very important to you. Bottom line is paying $20 for the amount and quality of the Argentine beef there is a pittance compared to the $50-75 you would have paid for that in the states, and FYI that 70 peso "service fee" they charge at the table....... That's called the TIP because no one there does tip and waiters are not going to work for pennies, that's why in the US in a restaurant with a table of 5 or more there is usually a 15% service fee.
I really like them and everything but their naivete in these earlier videos is so hilarious. The US and Canada are heavily European influenced, how did they think the rest of the Americas (Continents) were going to be? LOL like Europe built the Americas it would be OBVIOUS there would be European influence...
The people are so friendly and the food so good.
Love Kara's airplane necklace...and the bus stop sign at 5:52! 😂
Uruguay is so Nice
I have been to Montevideo many times. You are bringing back memories! Nice video, love the new camera, nice and crispy.

that sauce is Chimichurri! if you thought is tasted great in the Choripan...on steak Chimichurri is so delicious

Great video. I luv that Market. That market and Garcias restaurant in Carasco are my favorite.
I must say, South America sure knows how to make sausage sandwiches. That one looked soo good... that hunk of bread was HUGE and looked amazing.
Yaaasss my country I hope you guys enjoyed it!!
Your b-roll is SO on point! I'm loving your new camera setup
Crazy how much Karas t shirt is matching her eyes. Never seen a so clear watch before. Awesome. :) Those sandwiches with the sausages looks insanely good. I have to make that for dinner one night.

Kara's jeans shorts is becoming quite iconic in the vids!

Ahhh understood. Don't worry... You rock out those shorts! I think the brand should pay you a royalty for advertising

I love how you are getting your slow-mo shots in all over the place. Enjoy the new camera. :)

Kara I don't understand how you eat all this delicious carby food and stay slim!!!! It must be all the walking you guys do!
And Nate!!!
Planning to travel like this when my fiancé finishes his contract with the US Navy!!!
Noooo lol! Only Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay have that large of a European influence. Hopefully yall realized that when you got further north. South America, like the US is EXTREMELY diverse.
Uh, are you serious? Spain and Portugal colonized essentially the ENTIRE continent. 🤔
@@echoguitarist yeah they did. But they imported MILLIONS of African slaves. And thousands Asian indentured servants. Not to mention all the natives that are there.

Anthony Bourdain ate there!
I love these new videos, the only problem is that they are to small, and they come too far apart.
IM BAC!!!
What camera did they use, I want to know what they recorded so nice video

She meant European influence in general. I think everyone understood what she meant.
@@PerthTowne Chris didn't
Obviously, if I'm addressing my comment TO Chris about something she/her wrote, the "everyone" doesn't include Chris.

built? there was already plenty of civilization. I think you mean colonized and exploited.
