The said example makes me give a lot of respect to Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger for what they did at Man United and Arsenal. How big of a temperament you need to have to stay at such big clubs and still keep relevancy for longer period of time.

    • @vespasiancloscan7077
      @vespasiancloscan7077 6 місяців тому +2

@@ujasvaria5772 difference is that SAF and Wenger were actual "club managers" while Pep and Klopp are just first team coaches. Ferguson was given patience at the beginning and then allowed to run the club however he wanted. At Barca, the manager always gets pressured from above to do X or Y.
And the media's far worse for a Barca manager than a PL one. Hysterical shit. The manager might not care, but the players themselves will be influenced. So you're playing psychologist instead of being a damn coach.

Guardiola was not exhausted. There were 3 reasons: 1. The arrival of Sandro Rosell to the presidency which prompted his best friend and technical director Txiki Begiristain to leave Barça. This was the main reason. Then the toxicity of Mourinho coupled with the preferent treatment that Real Madrid got in refereeing was another factor. And finally, having to battle with Rosell for changes in players that Guardiola felt had lost hunger (Fabregas , Alves and also Gerard Pique) was the last straw and Guardiola decided to leave.
In Bayern after 3 seasons due to disagreements with technical director, he decided to leave also.
Now at Manchester City, with his best friend Txiki Begiristain as technical director bringing him the players required and not opossing to transfer the players that don't perform ... Guardiola doesn't have ANY reason to leave. So, the trophies will pile up and by the time Txiki and Pep call it quits and retire (10 years from now) the records of Sir Alex Fergusson will be left in second place and Manchester City will be an established juggernaut

I have always said that Barca fans should direct their anger and frustrations towards Sandro rosell. That man ruined Barcelona when he was the club president. Followed closely by Bartomeu.
Remember, Sandro rosell also clashed with Johann Cryuff back in 2010 and it went so far to the extent that Sandro rosell removed Cryuff as the honorary president of Barca (which angered Pep Guardiola a lot). When that happened, Johann Cryuff said he would never step foot at camp nou again until Sandro rosell and his cronies were all removed from the club's leadership and board.
Sandro rosell was the beginning of the decline of FC Barcelona.

Very insightful video mate, some great points covered here. I was going to add that it could have been down to Villa's injury and the formation change from 4-3-3 to 3-4-3 that hampered Barca's title hopes for 2011/12 season. But yeah, I do find that fatigue seriously affects the player's ability on the pitch, in the 2010/11 Barca pretty much reached the pinnacle of football perfection and to ask the same set of players to emulate their achievements again for the next season was always going to be a tall order.

I don’t think it was the players fault for his departure. It was more of the bureaucracy of the club, for example when man city asked him to sign for them he wanted; new training facility, transfer budget for new signings, staffs etc. That’s why he stayed at man city for so long and now look at them 😢 that could of been Barcelona for the next decade

Half true. The foundations were being put in place by City or had been, but the motivator for City to hire Guardiola and for Guardiola to manage in England were his close allies from his time at Barcelona being employed by City such as Txiki Begiristain. Without Txiki and others, Guardiola would of had no interest in going or staying around. This also directly attributes to why Guardiola has managed so long at City because it's ran in a way that suits Guardiola and he's comfortable. In regards to his time at Bayern, he's adored by the hierarchy of the club, but he realised very quickly he could never change Bayern's ways to suit his, hence his above average tenure there and leaving once his contract expired. You'll see in the next season or two, Guardiola will walk. There's been rumours in Manchester that Txiki and friends want to leave and I can 99% see Guardiola following suit.

With all due respect, he created a bigger dynasty at both City and Barcelona than Wenger ever did. It wasn't really Wenger's fault that Arsenal fell off or anything, but both those teams achieved more than even prime Arsenal did. A domestic treble(which Fergie described as impossible), a continental treble and possibly 4 Premier Leagues in a row are achievements that Wenger couldn't pull off, I repeat, even before Arsenal fell off and when they had Henry, Bergkamp and so on in the team. Not even going to get too much into the Barcelona time, 14 trophies in 4 years say enough about it.

In Peps final year there was a lot of discord between Pep and some of the Barca players including fights n arguments. Pep seemed increasingly angry, demanding and frustrated in the eyes of the players. I'm sure losing some close games in such a short period didn't help. Over all of that was Sandro Rosell and his minions coming in in 2010. They had completely different ideologies from Guardiola and wanted nothing to do with Cruyff philosophy for the club..

Sandro and his friend Bartomeu ruined Barca completely, i genuinely dont understand how did Sandro manage to weasel in into the club, and make them vote for him rather than Laporta who had such a success as a president, left a club with so much money generated, and then the Sandro and especially Bartomeu spent all of the money and in the end almost making the club go bankrupt trying to secure their reign by bringing in expensive players with enormous wages to satisfy fans, and then selling them off for low money after they failed.

Pep is the smartest tactical genius there is i don't think he ran out of idea or something if that was the case why he's able to sustain so greatly even now 12 years after his departure and at different club different country.. I think he would've definitly found a way to go on more years and Barca would've won much more but i guess its the Bad Bad presidency and management of Barca and media pressure being at Barca was very key reasons. Barca is already one of greatest and successfull club but it would've been more if they had better managements and presidents in past because Johan Cruyff just spent 8 years and i think Cruyff also left because he did'nt get along well with president or someone, Pep just spent 4 years, with these 2 being at Barca for more years which they deserved to be Barca would've won even much more...

Peps Man City side have won so much with their money but why haven’t Chelsea or man united done the same after spending even more money? 😅 if pep only goes to clubs who are financially stable then isn’t that just smart from him?

You missed some point. Im as a spanish Will tell you.
-Madrid won la liga with 100 points and 121 goals and lost the ucl semis on pens to bayern being the best team, it was easy to think Madrid was in the begining of a cycle under Mourinho (who actually didnt happened) , Madrid won ucl in 2014.
-Pep sold Ibrahimovic in 2011 after a troublesome season, Pep likes players who fits in his system without ego issues, Rossell was obsessed about getting Neymar, who actually happened after 2011 world club cup final Barcelona vs Santos. Neymar was a out to join Barcelona, and a team of superstars is not what Pep likes. Actually he showed the door to ronaldinho etoo and deco in 2009. He didnt wanted Neymar, but his president wanted to beat Perez in that signing, he put star signings over the will of his coach, thats why I think Pep left. In Man city he spent 8 years, nobody decides over him about squad players, he has money and hes clearly the best team in england, and man city doesnt suffer media pressure.

There are many reasons for sure but the BIGGEST one is Sandro Rosell without a doubt. Don't forget Pep also had to do the job of Rosell of defending the club against doping accusations when the president was a coward, it got too much. I'm convinced if Laporta was still in charge after 2010, Pep would've stayed at least till 2015. Eventually leaving because you can't stay too long at Barca, its too toxic of an environment but only spending only 4 years especially with the golden generation and MESSI is criminal. What a waste...
