To any teacher out there who’s never heard it before, thank you. Thank you for teaching the next generation. Thank you for putting up with how the U.S. decides to teachers. Without you, we wouldn’t have doctors or lawyers or CEOs of multi-million dollar companies. Thank you for doing your best to protect kids from the unthinkable, something that isn’t even part of your job description. It may not seem like it, but I promise that you have people on your side.

I cried for some reason now i kind of feel sorry for my teachers cuz its tru like teachers r the least appreciated now when i go back to school i will literally appreciate them kindly (even though i already do since i was in preschool)

This was really emotional. And true once i went to my school. A teacher recognized me, i was so happy. Teachers have a great impact on us. They can change our lifes.

I wish everyone could treat their teachers like this. I’m 16 years old, and I’m the kid that says “thank you” for every test and never leaves at the bell without saying “have a good day.” Teachers _are_ some of the most under appreciated people in the U.S. Some of them are single parents supporting a family on a very under compensating salary. For my entire life I’ve wanted to be a teacher; I’ve wanted to make a difference. Now that I actually understand, I’m not so sure. Am I willing to deal with the hate and negativity and under appreciation that teachers receive every day of their lives? People wonder why we’re facing an extremely startling teacher shortage.

Because of one of my teachers in 6th gr. (long time ago, I'm older than Elle) she said one thing that stuck with me for life. Every morning we would talk about the morning news things going on. Clinton (Bill) was _barely_ in the running for president at that time. Our teacher never shoved any political views or anything down our throat but if someone asked a question, most times she would try to avoid it or just tell us to ask our parents at home. parents Some class member had brought up topic of his stance on abortion, I remember my classmate's exact words like it was yesterday, "don't vote for Bill Clinton because he believes in abortion."
Then, someone asked "what is abortion?"
Me, just listening to all of this, was just sitting there and taking everything in.
My teacher got real serious and the thing I remember the most about it is her exact words saying, "all that stuff floating around in the woman when she is pregnant, some say it's not a baby and that it is not alive; boy, with all that changes to your body and moving around and kicking it was doing inside of me, I _sure_ thought it was alive and I _did_ deliver a baby!"
Some of the best words ever spoken to me.
Fast forward to my high school years, when I found myself pregnant, and others wanted me to have an abortion and I was contemplating it, even though I did not want to, those words came ringing back to me.
What I was carrying was actually alive and well and I was carrying a human.
I chose to pray that my boyfriend would change his mind and so would everyone else that was giving me pressure to have an abortion.
I chose to give life and parent my child, and now he is a beautiful 22 yr. old!
Thank God and my teacher, my family for support and prayers.
