In my opinion, Lasse Arnesen's crash might have been more devastating than Brian Stemmle's 2 years prior (if your dates are correct), bc I can still remember Brian racing in the mid to end 90s, not Arensen though, I only recall reading his name somewhere, but got no recollection of him racing, so my guess is that he didn't come back after his injuries, but maybe he recovered well and decided not to come back, idk.

He got pretty seriously injured, which several torn ligaments. He was 4th in Kitzbühel the year after and retired in 1995. Yes..I saw it live. Lacerated colon, spinal injuries and 1 ir 2 other serious injuries. His rehab was long! But he made it back! Tough young man
