The plastic bushing you put in the top of your carb actually should be on the outside of the carb. It should be put under the metal bell washer that goes behind the throttle spring. Otherwise, pretty good video.

I went through the carb again and put the newer needle in. Moved the plastic bushing. It fits right in the metal cup outside the carb. I remember now. Thank You. Bike fired up on the third kick. I still may need to rebuild, I am getting Closer.

Thanks for making this video man. My godfather gave me his old xl250(in bad bad shape) and I’m teaching myself how to rebuild it. So this is very helpful.

Look at the comments. Somebody corrected me on the upper throttle area about a seal that i put on the outside instead of the inside. That solved all my problems. Comment I pinned. Thank you for watching and I love this Bike. Cheers.

I made one big mistake that other comments Saved me. That Bushing I put on the inside really belongs on the outside. There is a cup to retain it on the outside of the throttle arm. This was my key mistake and that is why we are out here learning from each other. My bike runs great. Peace. Thank You.

I made a couple of mistakes that commentors corrected me on. The biggest one was the nylon bushing on the throttle body goes on the outside. After I fixed that it solved all my issues because air was getting in. Thanks for watching.

@@ALLAUS I did buy a rebuild kit off Ebay. Made in Taiwan. Excellent Kit. I may search for the exact person I bought it from and put the link in the description.

    24mm** for the float.

The Clymer manual says 29mm. I will try 24mm. Thank You. I am close but it's just not running right so I took a break for a bit. Thanks for your input.

I don't know where I got 29mm. It clearly says 24mm in both my books. Thank You again.
