I installed your trans insert in my '21 SQ5 and it's a crazy improvement over the flimsy stock bracket. The transmission is quite a bit smoother at low speeds now. It's such a great upgrade for the money.
Stupid question, but I bought this transmission mount for my 22 SQ5 and was wondering where it goes. I jacked up the car and looked where it would install, but it was all covered the 034 instructions doesnt make it exactly clear.
@@PeriodicaIs You must remove the under tray cladding on the center of the transmission area to expose the mount. This should be achievable by removing a few screws and pop clips.
Hey guys I know I’m super late on this video. I wanted to ask if you ever went to school anywhere for this or if you just learned from experience? I ask because you both sound very informed regarding physics and fine details relevant to these transmissions. Just stumbled upon your page, you definitely earned a new sub
Thanks for the comment and question! I actually have a business degree but I did study Engineering in college too, both Nate and I are educated but I'd say most of what we've learned has come from experience and our own reading and learning journeys. We are both very curious and fascinated to know how things work, once you know how they work you can modify them to work better. That passion for creating, improving, solving problems has really driven our journey to build 034Motorsport =)
Hey guys. I’ve already ordered a few products and cannot wait to purchase your entire catalog for my B9.5 S4. My question is regarding how soon I can safely tune my car. Looking at stage 2. It’s a 2022 and just arriving from Audi. Break in period is 500 KM I believe. Sorry if this is the wrong video to ask this question. Thank you !!
We have support for the B9.5 S4. Please shoot an email to tuning@034motorsport.com with your ECU and TCU box codes/software revisions and we can check to see if we have support for your specific vehicle.
Just installed the mount and aluminum insert on my B9.5 S4. The OEM mount is much software than the 034 one. Shifting is MUCH smoother! #nomoreslop! Check out the installation video of the mount and insert on my car here. ua-cam.com/video/jRzSRvTKv9U/v-deo.html
Love your products fellas. But absolutely hate that I cannot order of your website because I live in Australia lol. Need a sway bar for my 8.5 s5 and no one has anything in stock 🥲
Would'nt reducing the transmission "slack" cause reliability issues with the transmission over time? I feel like audi put the slack there for a reason?
The slack is put there mainly to keep the ride more comfortable. Otherwise, we have seen no detriments to the longevity of the transmission and drivetrain with our Inserts and Upgraded Mounts.
@@AFBuildsb8.5 Absolutely. The 6 speed benefits further by the fact that your shifting experience will be more direct and less sloppy, as the transmission is not moving as much during a gear change event.
I'm asking a tricky question but it would be super appreciated if it could be answered. I have a b9 45tfsi with a 7sp dct but I get dissatisfied everyday i ride it for the past 3 years, especially after owning a b8 a5. 7sp in the b9 feels very shaky, and every now and then, there is a big thump especially if you gas it after braking and even during downshift. Manual shift is a nightmare both up and down. Big vibration during stops. Its not as responsive as my previous 7sp in the b8 either, which used dl502. 7sp in b9 is dq381. Big difference apparently. I am very keen to buy this product but from my understanding, oem mount is enable some shakes and vibration so that the mount absorbs it, not the tranny. Would getting this mean Ill have a firmer tranny shifts but lose reliability?
When installing the transmission mount, you are replacing the factory "softer" mount. This softer mount is in place to provide a more "mushy" feeling, dampening the mechanical movement of the transmission to provide comfort. Our mount does not cause your transmission to lose reliability. Our mount will firm up your shifts and cause for less slop. You can imagine this slop as the delay from your foot pressing the gas pedal and actually feeling the car accelerate.
I had this mount installed in my manual B9 A5 yesterday and the car is currently on the lift having it removed. I understand the point and the purpose but the vibration and added noise is absolutely unbearable for the perceived benefit. The juice is not worth the squeeze for a daily driver and makes the car feel broken. No issue with the insert but the mount is definitely for track use only and I would not suggest it for daily drivers.
We're sorry your experience with our Street Density Transmission Mount was not as you expected. However, in our experience and the many others that run the same mount, there is a very low amount of NVH (Noise, Vibrations, & Harshness). However, most of our customers claim to feel none at all. On our product page, we state that if you are experiencing higher than quoted NVH with this product, please email techsupport@034motorsport.com for further assistance.
Hi from down under! Great explanation, thanks. I'm installing your trans and rear cradle mounts in my B9 RS5 this weekend along with the swaybar.

I’m glad he’s not arrogant
if you could only do one, would jus the Transmission Mount or Transmission Mount Insert be more beneficial?
If we had to just choose one, our Billet Transmission Mount Insert would be the way to go!

is there a forged option where we can more boost on the engine on the 710. does this turbo have anything left in reserve.
you mean forged pistons? Theres full built options out

:50 so in a sense would the car feel a bit faster since the 1-10 horsepower used to squish would be less if the 034 mount was installed?
Theoretically less energy is lost to the engine mounts, but certainly not measureable.

Haha older outdated 🤪😂
034 didn’t knew how to convince the market not to buy cheap one
There’s no such outdated version I think so
