My brother passed when i was 16 from suicide.
Mike is literally the double of him, temperment, how he grew up, same age, body language, looks.
Its soo strange to watch the videos for me, and always found incredible love for Mikes journey and always felt supportive towards it, only realizing a portion of that was from the reflection of the two.
He had a lot of anger issues and unfortunately never the chance to grow through them and make it out the other end, always fighting, partying, drink drugs, it always makes me happy seeing how Mike lives with his family after going through a typical estate childhood, probably a similar early life experience but made it through and found joy in his family and career.
I stopped drinking and partying myself about 13 years ago, to any of my friends out there find something you love, and focus your time on it, theres no life in partying consistently its just a cover up for trauma and issues you havent been able to deal with, start training find a form of movement you love, find something that you can find joy in and slowly transition your time to it, partying and drinking will fall away naturally when you find something more meaningful, and always remember whatever you feel right now is just a sensation and will pass in time.

I don't like fighters turning down fights but Costa has one win in five years and Sean would be looking at a guarantee of a title fight with one win, don't think Costa is that fight.

I personally love the way Sean says the first thing that comes into his head makes for fun interviews. On another note UFC 300 is going to be awesome.
Honestly, Sean did lose that fight but it was super close. A rematch would have made sense but they wanted to capture the heat between DDP and Adesanya because they figured it would get Izzy back much quicker than any other fight.
They're probably right. Sean will probably fight the winner of Chimaev/Whitaker and the winner of that will fight for the belt.
The only way Sean fights before that is if he fights someone further down the pecking order like Costa and frankly I can see why he doesn't want to do that.

Sean lost a close fight with DDP. I can see Strickland saying no, because Costa really isn't in serious contention right now.
Costa is several fights away and Sean is one away from another title shot (you would imagine). So it makes more sense for Adesanya vs Strickland 2 to happen. But then DDP is without a dance partner for too long.
UFC wants Adesanya back and there's still loads of heat DDP and Adesanya built for that fight so that's the fight they're going to make. Sean will probably end up fighting the winner of Chimaev/Whitaker and the winner of that fights for the belt.
Izzy defended for years. Shawn lost on his first defense. Kind of a big difference.

Looking back its crazy how easy it is to judge whoever is in the spotlight. Izzy has his issues, but he also has a highlight reel of KO's and was such an active champ. Sean doesn't and lost his first title defense (i do think he won but still). He doesn't have pull like that. Crazy to think how much he's changed, he's becoming unlikable to me. Well, he deserves the rematch, but if he can’t get that, he shouldn’t have to risk his last shot on a #7 contender. If he loses to Costa and moves down in the ranks, the UFC will bury him. Fighting Costa is a bigger risk than just losing a fight.

Costa has one win since 2020 against rockhold who is gone and coming off a loss he should be fighting khamzat or someone below him how it works when your losing. Sean should be rematching israel because izzy doesn't deserve a title fight or Sean should be fighting Robert. But unless you have someone on a winning streak you don't give them a top 5 fight. Khamzat less be honest shouldn't even be ranked at middleweight he's never beat a ranked middleweight and 13-0 means nothing at MW when those are all WW fights
