Thank you! My mum will be pleased when she will hear me playing this. I cannot believe it is so simple and quite easy to play. Once again, I just love these guys.
OH FUN! Say hi to your mum for me :) Do you think your mum knows my mum?
And "around the bend" I love the sound of those chords.
indeed - nice connection :)
Yesss i was waiting For this song but of course from you Ryan, really really Thank you very much For this lessons, greetings from México
you're really really welcome Ruben!
You are one entertaining and highly attuned (no pun intended) guitar teacher...man I love watching your instructional vids...I can only aspire to your wealth of knowledge and skills.
why thank you Ian :) I assure you, it comes from years and years of playing and teaching the guitar, and not from any terribly special inborn abilities... just keep playing mate, just keep playing! and find someone to teach something to, no matter how small.
Thank you. Came out for a jam. This song popped into my head.. learnt it in10mins flat. Thank you again sir great work !!!!
great to hear from you mickey :) I recall your name from ages past!
You completely make these songs so easy to learn. Your awesome man. Thank you Thank you.
and thank you for hanging out Mike!
Another campfire mainstay. The last chorus is just epic and wonderful. Followed by Mikes best outro solo? Top 3 for sure.
I love it when mike writes a solo that stays roughly the same over the years. daughter comes to mind as well
Amazing. Didn’t realise how easy this tune was. One of my favourites thank you so much
very glad to be of help Adam - cheers!
This lesson was great in building up my speed and coordination. Good job Ryan
I'm really glad to hear that Jeff :)
One of Ed's greatest moments & yours as well 👏
being mentioned in the same sentence made my morning. Thank you Michael :)
Dude that was just awesome! Really kept it simple and fun. Honestly I feel like I can now play it on my playschool guitar you made it seem so easy and effortless.
woo hoo! I hope you get yourself a non playschool guitar!
I love your work man !
gracias amigo!!
Love all your PJ chord lessons 👍
Thanks for the shout Chris!
Would like to see one for Marker in the sand ... one of my top 5 favs ! Im not sure if it has a capo , could never find the right sound ? One of those ones I just air guitar 🤔! As always enjoy your videos , appreciate the time you take to help us find our way up n down the fret board!
we are two peas in a pod Rowland, Marker in the sand is also in my top 5 :) and to be truthful... i have only an inkling of an idea how to play it. I think you might be the first request for that one (not sure how that's the case), so i'll finally put it in the back of my brain for one that needs to be done and see if we can't demystify it for us both!
I totally agree with you that the d-major isn't the right opening chord for the verses. I just mute that high e-string and make it D5. Sounds better for me that way. Good lesson.
I've come to terms with it, it is. Eddie loves to fit D and F together, and C and A, which is relatively the same thing, but they don't belong together in any key. it's the same thing in wanted dead or alive - I'm slowly recognizing the value in this change, but it's taking me a long time. Thanks Firefly!
Ryan Lendt have you posted that solo yet? If yes, please post a link. Thanks.
Hey Ryan, good translation of my name, hehe. I showed the video to some friends and they've had good laughs remembering the high school ol' days... Thanks so much for doing this song, it sounds great.
Somebody has mentioned "Marker in the sand" in these comments, and I second that request...
Keep on rockin', mate!
how fun :) thanks for having me along in that jaunt down memory lane. Two for marker yay!!!!!
really nice lesson - i'll go learn the solo!

Great great great job... all my congratulations

Excelente Ryan Lendt! Aguardando por "SIRENS". Greetings from Brazil.
yay sirens!! sure thing friend :)
I was using the F7 with a c bass on the acoustic in the verse, to me it sounds ok. Sometimes I would just do the F7. Do you think that would sound bad? Is that a no no to use that chord in this song?
well, F7 doesn't sound so great as the 4, which it is (sort of) in the portion of the progression F appears. Try G7 when G appears to see what I mean. G7 will fit but sound too funky for this song. HOWEVER you can do whatever you want :)
Great as usual!
Thanks pedro!
Awesome video! Thanks so much for this
You're welcome Connor, glad you liked it!
Thank you. Fun song to play.
You are most welcome Nathan
Thanks Ryan - a few riddles have been answered with this one! (...parachutes?)
yeehaw! parachutes coming very soon :)
All good - always pumped there's so many of your lessons to get me through the weekend. Spin, spin!
As always, just a question... What model of fender is that? Sorry for my english. Good job, man ^^
No worries! That's a '94 tex mex strat that my mom bought me when I was 12 and I upgraded the pickups in recently. It's a beast now.
Nice thanks Ryan!
woo hoo!
Finally !!!! Thanks
haha!
Awesome ❤❤❤
Thanks Tracy :)!
Is the strumming pattern your favorite one @ryanlendt? I assume d d d up up d d up d up.
ahhh fuck.... shit's gonna get real.... so ... when I was a kid I had a crush on an older boy... who loved PJ... .naturally.... I listed to PJ in hopes of having something in common with him someday.... fast forward a few years we get together for a few years.... I take him to see his first PJ show... it was epic. fast forward 15 years he's married with 2 beautiful kids to a girl from our village...we are still friends... he flys through my city because of his work... .on the way to the airport a drunk driver hits his taxi...killing him, his co worker and nearly kills a third friend and the taxi driver this is 2015... 2 weeks ago the trial was held here for the drunk driver... I attended a week of the court sessions... the bastard somehow got off without any chargers or fines... fucking horrific for my friends family who are on the other side of the country praying for justice. This song... I am Mine was Harolds theme song... he had the lyrics .. ." I know I was born, I know that I'll die... the in between ...in mine... I am Mine" tattooed on his forearm.... I have trouble listening to this great song now... but need to get over it...
Life can be tragic and beautiful... and everything in between. Music helps with all of it.
Kara holy hell thank you so much for sharing that. I just don't have anything to add that would hold a candle so I'm not going to, just say thanks
Interesting story sorry for your loss. Music is healing, a therapy of sorts.
yeah...it's messed up... blaming someone doesn't change anything...I went it believing that the outcome didn't matter. I guess it just feels raw.
I feel bad when I run out of treats for my dogs... they are spoiled. If everyone was a Pearl Jam fan... the world would be a better place :-) Thanks for letting me vent... don't mean to be a downer... returning to regularly scheduled music fan........ now.
You hereby have my permission to vent away any time Kara :)
i guess I am kinda randomly asking but do anyone know of a good site to watch newly released movies online ?
Please do sirens! Great videos
I shall :) thank you for the request, and for watching Teo :)
Ryan Lendt the most difficult part is to play the songs with a metronome. Maybe at the end of every video should show us how to play it with one and on how many bmp!
1:42 I don't undertood what I have to do... Can somebody tell me which strings I have to touch? (Sorry, but I'm Italian and I don't understand very well English)
E x
A 0
D 2
G 2
B 2
E x
I will be writing a strongly worded letter to UA-cam about allowing multiple likes to this video alone and all subsequent posts/tutorials. You R-O-C-K!
why thank you BB, cheers to you :)
What's your stumming pattern? I got the intro. But it seems it's changed up in the verse and chorus.
Is it payed in 2/4?
Oh ok your playing two bars on A right? With D DU? What other chords have two bars played on it? Sorry about all the questions lol.
I am mine is in 3/4 :) DXXUDU
Thank you
You're welcome
Booooo I already know this!! Boooo 😂. You know I’m joking Ryan. I’m sure I’ll pick up something new from your lesson as always 🤙🏼
hehehehe I dunno that one is pretty straightforward
LOLLLLLLLLLLLL its so funny to see people teaching guitar this way " 2, 5 7 5 4 yataa yatta"
