The community is named after William Hyde.
Formerly an upper-middle class neighborhood, the area lost its prosperity due to industrial disinvestment following WW2.

Yes, thanks. Hyde park may be a ghetto, but notvthe worse.st.louis had a habit if hiding these things sometimes. Praise to you , beautiful city.😢😮😅😊
