My favorite study bible right now is the NASB95 Grace and Truth Study Bible. The notes are so eye-opening for me and are helping me understand context. I also just got the ESV Study Bible and CSB Study bible in digital formats, so I can't wait to dive into those.
The CSB Study Bible is also very good and worth a mention. Same with the CSB Baker Illustrated Study Bible but it's no longer in print as far as I know.
@@ClaimingChristianity just a bit of correction the N.E.T. Bible DOES contain study notes... it actually has it's notes broken down into 4 categories... "translator notes (tn)"... "study notes (sn): "textual criticism (tc) "map notes (map).
Thanks for this video. Have you reviewed the Charles Stanley Life Principles study bible or the David Jeremiah study bible? My husband and I have these 2 bibles.
I have 6 of the 7 Bibles you mentioned. The only one I don't have is the Holy Land Illustrated Study BIble. One Bible I thought you would mention but you didn't is the Thonpson Chain Reference Bible. I know it technically isn't a study Bible because it is more like a reference BIble. But I claim it to be a study Bible make because the TCR makes you to go digging deeper into Scripture making you to study the Bible and Scripture. Hence I call the TCR a study Bible. 😀 Thank you for this good video today. Blessings brother.
Amazing! I got the MacArthur awhile back (great work on that Study Bible), JUST GOT THE REFORMATION STUDY BIBLE today! I can’t wait to work on it. I mean there’s just so much that others don’t have. My only difference of opinion would be that I like the Life Principles Study Bible by Charles Stanley. It takes that same tact of how to apply directly to the day. Have to say I have that ESV Study Bible as well and love it. One last honorable mention from my personal study is the NKJV Illustrated Study Bible.
Well said. The ESV Study Bible has been a favorite of mine since it was introduced! I have all four of the bibles you listed as well as the NET Full Notes Bible.
My top 4 would be (in no particular order). 1. NET full notes edition. 2. The ESV study Bible. 3. Hebrew-Greek Key Word study Bible. 4. The Reformation study Bible.
@@ClaimingChristianity but you Can't get a KJV MacArthur Study Bible... and the KJV is my favorite translation.. sadly if I want to learn ANYTHING from JM I have to read scripture from One bible... and his notes from another..
Guess I’ll have to buy the Reformation Study Bible to complete my library as I have all the others you mentioned and I like R. C Sproul. My favorites are the ESV Study Bible for scripture and “commentary” notes and the NIV Life Application Study Bible for its life application notes. When I want a really deep dive, I will pour through MacArthur’s NASB Study Bible. As for daily reading, I love the NASB 2020 Thinline, thumb indexed, red letter Bible. It really speaks to me as I read and meditate on the message being delivered. Thanks for all of your confirmations.
Interesting fact is that J.I. Packer's little book Concise Theology was originally a series of 1 to 2 page articles on theological topics (e.g. God, the Bible, heaven, hell) that was written for the Reformation Study Bible (or its previous incarnation known as the New Geneva Study Bible), but then someone had the good idea to collect all of Packer's articles and publish it in a book. Hence Concise Theology was born. 😊
I have the NET notes Bible in both physical and digital form. It’s very cool. I have the digital on the Olive Tree app, and it does come in handy for quickly looking up things. ✌️
Great Bible! I did a review on that so you can check it out if you’re looking for it. It did make a list but I do like archaeology and I do think that it’s a great Bible.
If you are Lutheran, The Lutheran Study Bible is recommended, but note the word “The”. It is conservative, published by Concordia . Stay away from “Lutheran Study Bible” no “the”, published by Augsburg and the very liberal (even heretical) ELCA denomination.
Does John Macarthur have a Ph.d on Biblical studies? I think that he does not, there are far better Bible studies than MacArthur´s and the reformation study Bible which should be named "the Calvinist-zwinglian Bible" to be precise.
Ph.D? Biblical Studies? Would you say then...that nobody without an advanced degree in the whole of the Bible has anything valid to say about it? (That's what your comment sounds like.). Bart Ehrman has advanced degrees in History and the NT and he's an atheist? So I"m a little lost by your assertion.

I agree. I had to keep it to a small number. But I’m a fan of CSBs work.

Not at this point. I never came across one. But I know lots of folks who have mentioned David Jeremiah and like it.

I agree about the Thompson Chain. I love it.
Yes the ESV study Bible is the best! My top 4 would be ESV SB, CSB SB, NET FN and the NLT Life application SB.

I do like that keyword Bible. I just don’t use it much anymore cause of digital resources. Good list!!
Key word is my fav. Open next particularly for newer Christians. I just ordered a Criswell but don't have it yet
Do you like the Reformation Study Bible better or the ESV Study Bible?
Hey Steve, Idk if you still remember me, but you’re still my Favorite UA-camr. Thank you for teaching.
Of cours I do brother! Good to see you. I kinda took some time off. But we're back. Spread the word

Do it!!! You won’t be disappointed 😃. And glad they were helpful!
I am a huge fan of the Open Bible... and I just picked up a Dake's Study Bible, have no had a chance to really dive into it and use it yet
Yes. The Open Bible is legit!!
Be careful with the Dake’s Study Bible.

That is interesting! Thanks for sharing
We have McArthur, Jeremiah, Ryrie, Life Application in NKJV, ESV, NASB & NIV translations. Was considering NET full notes and KJV1611 (not study).
I have the NET notes Bible in both physical and digital form. It’s very cool. I have the digital on the Olive Tree app, and it does come in handy for quickly looking up things. ✌️
Do you want to know more? Please read Codeword Barbelon and watch Tares Among the Wheat
My top Study Bibles:
1) MacArthur Study Bible (LSB)
2) Reformation Study Bible (ESV)
3) Spurgeon Study Bible (CSB)
Let me add the NIV archaeological study Bible, and the Olive Tree app.
I've read through the Hardcover. Lots of good info.
What about the Archeological Study Bible?
Great Bible! I did a review on that so you can check it out if you’re looking for it. It did make a list but I do like archaeology and I do think that it’s a great Bible.
Yesssssssss! I have the #1 recommendation! Suck it TPT!!!!
Ok. I’ve been trying to figure it out for days. What is TPT?? lol 🤦🏻♂️
I like the NASB.
I like the 95 NASB!
Jewish Study Bible and Orthodox Study Bible!
I also reviewed a Journal The Word Bible, it has become my favorite Bible. Just letting u know if you wanna check it out.

There is only one Bible.
As there is only one God.
Psalm 40:7
Hebrews 10:7 KJV
And all these are looking for $$$$$
Which of the many versions and translations?
LOL!
