- Опубліковано 10 кві 2019
- Welcome to Sugarland Animal Hospital, caring for the pets of Bundaberg.
Rogue is a rottweiler who was diagnosed with a disease called Masticatory Myositis. This disease is rare in dogs, but larger dogs, especially rottweilers, are more prone to it than others. Understanding how dangerous this disease is is very important. Watch this video to see its effects and how Dr Mike treats it.
We are here for the pet owners of Bundaberg who are seeking a high level of care for their pet.
We provide a modern award winning veterinary hospital and a team dedicated to the care of your pet.
Unlike traditional vet clinics and surgeries, we are here to take the stress out of pet ownership.
We believe if a patient has left our animal hospital without caring for all their needs, we believe we have let that pet down.
Our core values we live by are:
Loyalty - We are faithful to the team, to our clients and their pets. We stick up for each other.
Responsibility - We keep our word and do what we say we are going to do. We help the team and our clients.
Openness - We communicate openly, we can take feedback and we trust each other.
Compassion - We listen to others, care for one another, show appreciation and empathy.
Fun - Life and work need to be enjoyable. We love laughter and the ability to joke while still getting the job done.
We know that when you are looking for vets in the Bundaberg area that you want all the professionalism and expertise that you would expect from a vet but at the same time providing quality customer service and care for your loved pets.

My Lily just had an emergency visit today for this and is being tested. The test has to go to CA so it takes 5 to 7 business days to find the results. She was put on prednisone in the meantime until the results come in. She is a Rottweiler and looks just like the one in the video. Thank you so much for showing us this video.
We’re going to fix this ….. was lovely to hear the positivity .
I’m currently trying to nurse my 10year old collie / kelpie through polymyositis . Steroids and immunosuppressant. It’s very slow and heartbreaking. Your video has given me a little hope . Time will tell I suppose . Thanks for making the video . I’m in the opinion this disease needs more awareness as it was mid diagnosed several times for my boy .
Thank you so much doctor.
Our pleasure to help and take care of our furry friends' health.
Thank you for sharing this! My boy has MMM as well and I’ve been working to help spread awareness of this rare condition.
How is your boy doing with MMM?
my mouth was just diagnosed with this about a month ago. He’s been doing really well on the prednisone but we’re about to lower his dose. 🙏 he loves chasing a flying frisbee. This is the one thing that is helping re grow his muscle
Thank you for helping that puppy
Thank you so much for sharing this video

Thanks for reaching out! It's difficult to diagnose without a proper examination. We recommend contacting us directly at 4151 3550 or visiting Sugarland Animal Hospital for professional advice and a thorough examination of your dog. Visit our website for more details.
My dog this but he had a dent in his head but he could eat fine he was 10
There is a street dog suffering from similar symptoms, can you tell what medicine should be used to help the dog
Hi there! My 1.5 years old Husky Nymeria has got this decease, it’s been about 15 days! Our vet started yesterday giving her dexamethasone sodium phosphorus (KORTEBA) It is a steroidal anti-inflammatory in aqueous suspension, useful in the treatment of inflammatory processes, metabolic disorders and as a complement to antimicrobial therapy, which is used in bovines, horses, canines, felines. I would love if you could tell us if we are on the right path. Thank you so much! I’m very desperate and I can only imagine how my poor baby girl Nymeria is feeling.
Hi, how is your pup doing on that treatment? Our boy just turned 1 and was diagnosed with MMM, he started Prednisone. Let me know!
I’ll be getting my dog tested tomorrow I pray that he doesn’t have it. If anyone has a dog who’s in pain please take to the vet or veterinarian hospital. The Dr. cannot diagnose any pet over the internet and I don’t think he has time to read through the comments. There are hospitals open 24/7 need be. If your animal is in distress please see a professional only they can know for sure

Hello Satyapriya, While we are unable to provide veterinary advice for an animal that we have not seen I am glad that you have sought Veterinary attention. My recommendation would be to revisit your current Veterinarian and ask them to clarify their treatment plan for you. Kind Regards, Sugarland Animal Hospital
My German Shepherd has it, he drools and his jaw won’t open as well! I don’t know how much the cost will be...also I’ll like to know if it’ll heal on it’s own? Do I have to find some type of medicine for him or take him to the vet..
Hi Bobatom, We would recommend that you seek a veterinary checkup for your boy. Thank you
What a stupid comment. If you have a dog, at least be responsible enough to go to a vet for fuck's sake
9FORDIE9 This is old, move on, and obviously I took him to the vet. I commented on a day when the vet was closed. And it just start happening ofc, please move on.
@@bobatom7911 neuromuscular diseases rarely “heal on its own” and bring much pain to the pet
