2012 Lincoln MKX power lift gate won’t close

- When you press the button to close the hatch, it would get part of the way down and then reverse. I think it’s the lift motor making it do it so here is a video showing how to change the motor. This also applies to Ford Edge with a power lift gate.
I’m tell you something , thanks so much for this Video! I have a 2011 MKX and this same problem has been going on for a while now. I’m gonna take your advice and see if that works. I tried pulling the fuse for a few minutes, but once I put the fuse back, I still had the problem with the LiftGate not closing. So once again thanks for the video. I think you’re on to something !

Replaced my actuator with a new Ford actuator, now nothing works. will have to find a different repair diagnosis. Thank anyway.
I heard this is one way , and the other way is by taken out the Fuse for a few seconds. Right or Wrong?

You can get it at your local Ford dealership. Myself, I just google the part number because a lot of dealerships sell parts online. Just be sure to verify the part number before ordering. Because sometimes google will make suggestions for items that aren’t the same part number. It should cost somewhere around 250.00. Give or take 20.00 depending on shipping costs.

Sounds like a latch problem.
