I witnessed the making of Kanpur metro... It is build over GT road which is quite busy and important route. But then also they managed to built it rapidly. Instead of using Covid lockdown as a excuse , they took advantage of it and ramped up their work in that time as there was no traffic during lockdown.
That's some clever work by administration & state govt. They utilised huge workers coming from Mumbai, Chennai during lockdown for fastening metro construction
Yah. I was at that time in IIT Kanpur. In the beginning of lockdownz govt asked us students to vacate the campus and go home. When we vacated, there was no sign of metro there. But by the time we returned to the campus after covid, we were surprised to see that the metro was operational. It was really damn fast.
I am from meerut and i totally agree...i have seen the work of rapidx from my own eyes and the speed is phenomenal...constructing 17 km of rrts system that is also before deadline...in the heavily dense areas was not an essy task but they did this smoothly...and hopefully the whole 82 km stretch will be operational before set deadline od 2025 coz almost 80 percent of the work is almost done..💫

No, It should focus equally in every region. SCR is already developing at good rate. But purvanchal and other areas lack behind (with some exceptions). Focusing on SCR too much can give us short term growth but will destroy the long term growth. Even after independence,we got two choices either to develop rural areas first or to develop cities first and we made the wrong choice.
We are making case studies and studying about UP's brilliant metro construction efficieny but forget that this actually should be the normal way a govt. body should function. UPMRCA didnt do anything extraordinary, they did what should nirmally be done and did it right. Kudos to the CM Yogi Ji.

I live in Lucknow, here municipality work is also improving exponentially roads, drainage, waste management, law and order, electricity condition is also improved. Only some parts of old Lucknow region are messed up. Otherwise Lucknow is becoming a great example. Proud of Yogi Ji's leadership as a CM

GMRC (Ghaziabad Metro Rail Corporation) must be formed to connect Vaishali with Mohanagar metro route, Vaishali with Noida Electronic City metro station, DMRC metro stations of Ghaziabad with RRTS stations which fall in Ghaziabad. It will help in reducing road traffic congestion to a great extent.

I have lived majority of my life in Agra. I remember the first announcement of Metro was done when I was in 8th or 9th grade. A lot of money was pumped but not a single pillar was constructed. Now, under current UP govt., I can see this becoming a reality

Sahibabad to duhai corridor in Uttarpradesh is completed, work in progress in Meerut part of rrts. sahibabad rrts station construction has finished But nizamuddin station which present in delhi is not completed till now. I worked on the design stages of Agra Metro at Amberg Engineering Gurgaon. Our team was under tremendous pressure to finish the project. It was astonishing to see the government employees pushing us and coming to the meetings that often. Just imagine IES engineers coming to meetings and asking technical questions. That happened because of the political pressure on the bureaucrats.
Bangalore as a city isn't in flat terrain like uttar Pradesh cities. And most our construction happens underground. This is the reason for the slow progress. It's not govt. but the land is such that we can't help it

Underground tunnel boring takes time in Bengaluru because Bengaluru is situated over granite deposist, which delays boring. UP government need to educate people about waste management provides facility to implement it & Need to Work on Creating World class Skills Development institutions like IIT & NIT for engineering which par with many Western engineering school This institution provides one & two year course at reasonable fee for High skill carpenter , plumbing, garments& low value addition electronic manufacturing skill so small & medium grow Degree from this institution should know for their quality education & people pass from them

In all metro projects with Reliance, there has been delays. In Delhi, they ran away from the Airport Metro project and DMRC had to take over. However, due to their political backing, instead of getting penalised, they are being awarded compensation of Rs 4600 crores from taxpayer's money. You can read this - search for DMRC DAMEPL case.
There is a difference between monopoly and monopolistic. UPMRC u can say it is a Monopoly but in MH there is monopolistic competition between different bodies.

UP, imo is going to witness tremendous growth in the coming years simply because a huge fraction of tax money that was otherwise lost due to corruption is now available to be utilised. I’m not saying corruption does not exist but it’s been reduced. Also the taxes have increased simply because the government has become more efficient compared to the past.

I'm from kanpur and within last 14 months they've constructed the structure of metro in our area.

GMRC (Ghaziabad Metro Rail Corporation) must be formed to connect Vaishali with Mohanagar metro route, Vaishali with Noida Electronic City metro station, DMRC metro stations of Ghaziabad with RRTS stations which fall in Ghaziabad. It will help in reducing road traffic congestion to a great extent.

I have lived majority of my life in Agra. I remember the first announcement of Metro was done when I was in 8th or 9th grade. A lot of money was pumped but not a single pillar was constructed. Now, under current UP govt., I can see this becoming a reality

This standardization program is also the reason behind Chinese fast construction pace. They have standardized basically everything. Hence don't have to plan much, which saves time. Good that we're learning something from the Chinese.
Not just Chinese. Even in North America (US and Canada), they standardized their road construction program after world war 2 and hence achieved this great network of roads that serves as the backbone of their economy. :)

I worked on the design stages of Agra Metro at Amberg Engineering Gurgaon. Our team was under tremendous pressure to finish the project. It was astonishing to see the government employees pushing us and coming to the meetings that often. Just imagine IES engineers coming to meetings and asking technical questions. That happened because of the political pressure on the bureaucrats.

Underground tunnel boring takes time in Bengaluru because Bengaluru is situated over granite deposist, which delays boring. In all metro projects with Reliance, there has been delays. In Delhi, they ran away from the Airport Metro project and DMRC had to take over. However, due to their political backing, instead of getting penalised, they are being awarded compensation of Rs 4600 crores from taxpayer's money. You can read this - search for DMRC DAMEPL case.

UP, imo is going to witness tremendous growth in the coming years simply because a huge fraction of tax money that was otherwise lost due to corruption is now available to be utilised. I’m not saying corruption does not exist but it’s been reduced. Also the taxes have increased simply because the government has become more efficient compared to the past.
