Mike, Thanks for sharing that process. The circle of life is amazing. I learned something new today!
I have a small cow calf operation in Alabama. You make esophagus feeding look easy. I always struggle with it and worry about getting the tube into the lungs/airway and not the esophagus. I would love to see a video showing the details of how you do it with confidence that you’re not doing more harm than good. Thanks for informative and well produced videos.
Thanks for sharing the Ranch Life!
Thank you for watching - Mike

Hi again! Perfect timing in life is nothing but an awesome miracle and you had one for sure Mike. Light from the darkness. A positive from a negative. An example perfect to apply to Easter week Mike. It warms my heart to watch your tender care and the confidence in your judgement and swift action. You've come a long way Mike from your know nothing days!!! All your hard work and study have paid off for sure and you should be very proud. Thx for sharing especially this time and I really hope the remainder will go smoothly. Hang in there Mike!

Thank you Sarah - Mike
The circle of life is ever present in a rancher's life. And it is in those small moments of success that a rancher's heart smiles! I saw it time and again growing up on the face and in the walk of Grandaddy. Ranchers truly are the heartbeat of our country!
Thank you very much and thanks for watching - Mike
Been here since day one and I love y'alls work. I hope one day my buddy and I will have a farm for my bbq company.
Very cool, thanks for watching - Mike
Mike...Great vid!!! Making the most of a negative situation!!!!!
I just got your channel recommended to me . This is.. the 4th video I've been through. With life comes death... and also me and my 3 year old laughing at the red calf as he fell out of the warmer. I appreciate seeing the bad with the good, especially as someone who is probably too sick to ever farm herself.
Some of the sad part of ranching. Inevitably you will lose a calf here and there but luckily like you said when you needed a calf you got one. Glad to see it end happily this time. Hope the rest of the season is better for you.
Thank you Gary - MIke
Mike, awesome video as always.
Thank you very much - Mike
Mike, I've been watching Cody for a long time. He gave you and Erin a huge shout out on his last video(I'm sure you saw it). Your families are from two different countries, yet you both fight for the life of the rancher. You both have my utmost respect!
Thank you so much Deb! - Mike
I never but i mean never would have thought i was going to see a day where a cowboy will be asking people to see him doing his job at a ranch... And that's just great!!!!! 🐴🐮🐔🐃🐕🐖🐐🐎🐄
I felt so bad for that little calf that died but life goes on, but you have other calves and your taking good care of them. Thanks for the video. Look forward to the next video
Great video Mike.

good video,,, great to see you taking good care of your animals
Life, especially on the ranch, is so amazing. An undersize calf is unable to survive yet soon after a set of twins are born! Beautiful.
love your videos.
Sorry about your calf but happy #4 is taking care of #13.....loved the commercials...lol!😎
Thank you very much - Mike
Great video, sad regarding eyebrows calf. Love the ending and understand your wishes. My wife and I found some of that when we adopted the little ones at 4 days, 13 months and 24 months. They are now 12, 13 and 14.
Glad it worked out. We lost our first calf of the year to coyotes, we bought a drop calf and put the cow in a squeeze shoot where the new calf was allowed to nurse, we also rub milk from the cow all over the calf and that works too.
Good video, thank you for making them.
Man this is incredible!
Cool! Babies are always cute. Thought about your peacock today, haven't seen in awhile. Hope he's doing ok. Have a great week!
Wonderful video.
Nice job Mike 👍

Good video I've never tried that powder but sure would beat skinning out the other calf. There's no better feeling than when you see an orphan calf successfully adopted
I agree, thank you - Mike
Very informative.
Thank you Ron - Mike
It may take a while but most times some good comes from bad. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing.

Axe body spray works or any really smelly spray to get mama to take them. Love seeing I’m not the only one having fun during calving.
You have to let loose occasionally Thanks for watching - Mike
Great video..
Thank you very much - Mike
Nice video, when ever you loose a calf, you always remember that moment when you have a small herd.

Thank you - Mike
Ha Ha Ha.....loved the "Orphaned No More" out-take video...good job Mike.
Thank you Stan - Mike
Love the idea of the cake on the calf!
Givers her a reason to go say hi :) - Mike
@@OurWyomingLifeThe cattle farmer next to me uses "karo syrup" for that purpose! Whatever works!
I have the same warming box and I had problems with the grate falling down so I zip tied it with about three and it seamed to work fine. This has been a terrible winter for us here in Western South Dakota.
I've used baby powder before to get orphan calves on other cows. Put it on the calf and the cow. Generous amounts are best and it's worked for us, but it's still kinda a 50/50 thing. Glad it worked out though. That's a blessing! Good video!
Good stuff
Thanks Jermaine -MIke
Great to see another rancher with a good sense of humor, most don't. And orphan no more does work, I have used it for years. Another great product is called mother up.which comes in a liquid form the combination of the two works wonders, anyway it has for me. Good luck on calving season mine ended about a week ago. Now comes branding , vaccination, and early summer turn out.
Here comes the fun, thanks Darren - Mike
I feel a little bad for laughing when #13 feel off the calf warmer lol
Love the commercial voice over lol awesome work
Thank you Dustin - Mike
Nice New product.....your sleep deprivation is catching up to you. Is there ‘Sleep No More”? In fresh Alfalfa scent for Ranchers at calving time?
hahaha, now thats a good idea, wish I would have thought of it :) - MIke
Love this! ❤️❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕💕
Thank you and thanks for watching - Mike
Yes , We use the old method and skinned out the dead calf that worked about 90 percent of the time, but sometimes we had to bottle feed the calves.
Thanks for sharing David - Mike
Mike Our Family in Finland enjoyed all the videos of the little calves. Hopefully you might answer
a few questions that some of your viewers would like to know as well In the cold frozen winter
months & early cold spring calving season would it be at all possible to bring most of the pregnant
cows or (heifers) to a barn or shelter or covered coral to watch & to observe & to monitor the newly
born calves more closely? Can you tell ahead of time, ahead of the calve birth, which cows will be
giving birth within a few weeks? Regarding the loss of the little newly born no4S calve, Can you give
the colostrum (milk) before heating the calf in the calf warmer? Is it difficult for the calve to breath
in the calve warmer with only a hole on the top side ? Can you give the weak little calve IV fluids
yourself rather than wait for the veterinarian to do it ? Could you inject some type of antibiotic,
antibacterial (peniclillium) into the neck of the little weak calve? Can you use a small oxygen mask
(like patients in the hospital) to keep the little newborn calve breathing? What other suggestions
do the veterinarians give you about weak newly born calves? Our family lives on an inherited old
dairy farm that had ayrshire & holstein cows. What Apple iPhone or Android Phone Camera do
you use & what video editor do you use ? Our family videos on www.youtubefinland/isaac

Great movie good info.
Thank you - Mike
Sorry for the lost of the calf, Mike. I liked infomercial. Good way to try and lighten up a tough video
Thank you John, I though it might help - Mike
Seems as tho in Her own way Mike, Mother Nature leads us to success, if one is so open. May ya'll on that little piece of Wyoming have a very successful week ahead. -Bob...
Thank you Bob - Mike
Mike this was a classic video showing what really happens on a working cattle ranch! Honestly it seems that whenever a cow loses her calf it usually is followed by a set of twins! I don't know why this happens or but I think there is something to it! I have heard several tricks to get a cow calf to claim an orphan calf and yours seems to work! Good luck calving out everything and lets hope the weather stays warm enough to grow some good grass!
Thank you Jay, I'll drink to that ! - Mike
