India is a South Asian nation, not a Southeast Asian nation.

The giy in teh video is the epitome if the high school American education system
At least he knew that India is in Asia. Americans are very poor on general knowledge. Some know nothing beyond their state / county.
Mostly true, @@vivekrajup9701. Bur I am an American.
And Indians are indians ...not Asians like Chinese
Nice overview. Note that India is generally grouped with South Asian, and not Southeast Asian, countries (3:53).
Very interesting and detailed video about indian population in america. It sounds interesting upon watching this video, thanks for sharing it
Amazing video - thank you for making this topic.
I have a question - does this video only tally Indians from India?
We also have a large population of Indians in the US who came from the Caribbean like myself from places such as Guyana, Trinidad, and Jamaica, including Fiji, etc...
Our school system failed to teach us that the Indian diaspora was the largest mass movement of people in the 19th century due to colonialism which millions of Indians were removed from their homeland to work as indentured servants around the world after the abolishment of slavery.
If you can, I would love to see a video on this topic as there is not a lot out there on this.
I think he talked about only the Indians from India but you are right there are so many Indian origins from Caribbean and central America.
Also South East Asia like Malaysia and Singapore, and Africa
Your knowledge is very poor.
@@tonyroy8123 How??
Ths is really interesting as I've always wondered where does the Indian population live in America. Thank you for enlightening me!
100%. Good. Job. Thanks
Great info!
Not surprised at Texas. Houston has a huge Indian population.
Most Indians live in NY metro area - a huge population in NJ works in NYC.
@@ahmedzakikhan7639 It's been changing post COVID. As many Desi (specifically South Indians) are moving to southern states with warm weather and low cost of living: Dallas, Charlotte, Houston, Raleigh, Austin etc.
Thank you for taking the time to provide a content on where the Indian population live in America and sharing it with us.
It’s changed a lot since 2021 census

Amazing video. Please make a video us states in hindu population
how can they find the demograhics
Wow, I had no idea that there are so many Indians living in America. I gues they don't cover this topic enough on mainstream media. Thanks
Sir your statistics and numbers don’t not make any sense. For example Indian population just in Dallas (DFW) Area itself is over 400 thousand, and if you count Austin Houston and San Antonio makes up to abt two million people. You missing lots of head counts.
I think he is looking only at Indian American citizens. Visa holders are not included.

I'm legit surprised that Connecticut didn't make the list.
Im not surprised Illinois made the list, but I didn’t except it to be so high up on the list 😳
chicago, im from india my relatives live there@@beasley1232
Small state that's why. Also largely suburban, compared to say NYC and Houston
Thank you so much. I have a very basic doubt. How do I say SIR or MADAM in German? Also, how do I say "Nice to meet you" in German. I did read lots of books but I am confused. Would join your classes in sometime. My goal is only B1 as of now. Direct B1. Thanks
Irrelevant question

They are everywhere, most population in the world
Arizona has more than 200,000 Indians 😀
Many live in Hicksville Long Island
They live in your AV, for sure. :)
They are not indians. They are indigenous . Indians are from India.
This video is about people from India. 😅

Post-COVID, Texas and North Carolina have been growing rapidly (Dallas/Austin and Charlotte/Raleigh respectively)
I doubt whether this video is made by ai. The voice feels autogenerated.
wanted to know this... to avoid these places
You needed a video ? Move to any city that has no jobs you will find no Indians. West Virginia is a great choice
Move to Alaska!
Hope you never need a surgeon
Unfortunately, the Indians are still treated as Minorities in the US. Basically, the Indians have lack of Leadership and needs leaders to coordinate and bring them together, irrespective of party politics. What the Indian diaspora needs is sincere leadership irrespective of religious and party politics.Blacks have leaders, Hispanics , Jews, Whites, Muslims , Russians, Chinese all have Leadership in the US, not for the Indians. As an Indian I am proud of the increase in our population in the US. But we need good representation and sincere leadership to bring the Indians together under one umbrella irrespective of religious and party politics. Hope and pray that in the near future the children of Bharat will be recognized in the US.
How good someone like Vivek Ramaswamy for the job?
That is true. It is predicted that by the end of this century Indians will take more than half of the America population. Basically USA is indians' country.
An Indian girl in my graduate class is really nice to me and she's my best friend. Let me not get carried away but she's different 😅
Brown people are worst even worse than blacky and hispanic . Stay away from her .
@@Henry12341 no one cares about your preferences lol
1:45 Yes, when colleges and universities started to implement affirmative action, turning away qualified white males from admission. The focus on diversity has been paramount at virtually every college and university in the U.S.
Lmao kid, explain why Indians and Asians score higher on the SAT?
Indians have gotten into top position decades before affirmative action was taken . Check your facts. Generally the affirmative action goes in favour of black and muslim students
@@Ajgsydodkdlclcjjs -No, it’s you who should check your facts. Are you familiar with the National Origins Act in the U.S.? It was only after it was abolished did foreign students from the Third World come to the U.S. The fact that Indians were subjects of the British Empire has been a thorn in their side for decades, with a perpetual inferiority complex pushing them to strive. Today, Indians come to the U.S. knowing they want to move here, sight unseen! Diversity is so stringent at U.S. schools in every way. India is so poor, many of its people will literally immigrate anywhere, just to leave there.
Indians are actually disadvantaged by affirmative action like all other Asians
What is the meaning of Asian Indians? Are there also Non-Asian Indians?
In this video, it is used to distinguish them from the previously acceptable Native American Indians. Even as early as 20 years ago, in America if you use the term "Indian" people will immediately think you are referring to a Native American. In Canada, there's a specific term for people in India and that is - East Indian. In this case, the East refers to the Eastern Hemisphere and that is used to distinguish them from the Native American Indians in Canada. Just like in the USA, in Canada if you say 'David is an Indian' people will think David is a Native American.
And to illustrate my other point and comment, until its nickname was changed recently the baseball team that is based out of Cleveland was called the Cleveland Indians along with a team logo showing a man's face. Now, did that logo show the face of a man from India? No way. That logo showed the face of a Native American man named Chief Wahoo. So because of popular culture examples like this one, using the term Indian still has some connections with Native Americans and not people from India.
@@bluemountain555Got it! There is a widely used term for Indians living in the US. It is 'American Indians'. Are you aware of it?
@@SuradkarTushar In Canada, the now politically-correct term to describe people from India is Indo-Canadian.
@@bluemountain555Agree. It seems the terminology is under transition and will take some time to settle down and be widely accepted.
Indians can work for Indians
Like me I am not believing as call me as per the list as an Asian in general list. I am an Indian and nothing is listed as who I am. I always say is not in the list as an Indian.

More population in america indian citizen than southest asian
This increase is the result of family sponsorship visas PR policy of US governments.
wow, toooo many indians in America! IT field is dominated by indians, the leaders of most IT companies are indian, now American politics is also controlled by them
what bout real indias of america..
I bet those states are well covered with motels and dunkin’ donuts. See if there was a correlation into paper toilet crisis during pandemic and those states. I bet they had some Costco that never ran out.
