at 45:00, did anyone else notice that the opponent has two cards in hand, and one is revealed to be a land. But when CGB plays the thought erasure, it is revealed that the two cards are a hydra and a great henge. Which makes no sense because the land was revealed by nissa's triumph. How?
If you go back to when they play the Nissa's Triumph, you see that it then shows two revealed Forests, but then the opponent immediately plays a Forest and it *still* shows two revealed Forests (when it should now show only one). That's when the visual bug started.
From a member of the cool kids club, your plays were amazing. When you have a deck that makes you play around stuff, you’re incredible at predicting and avoiding stupid deaths.
This is MTG at the highest level, IMO. It's a lot like chess - anticipating the opponent's long term strategy and dealing with it before it plays out. It's still very different from traditional 1v1 though (best of 3), where sideboarding is everything.
43:42 Magic's magic. Observe: 1- At the moment the opponent plays Triumph, they get 2 lands, having a total of 4 cards; 2- Then, they play 1 land, remaining 3 cards left, however, at the same moment this land appears going from their hand into the battlefield, there's a glitch where the game refuses to recognize that one land has been played, and still shows both lands in their hand; 3- The only way for that to happen, is to change the visualization of one of the unknown cards to a known card (one of the lands). 4- The glitch is apparently permanent, once at the next round, they draw one card and play the second land, remaining with three cards: Lovestruck Beast, Henge and Hydra. It causes confusion to players, as you can see happening with CGB at 44:20 and 44:39, and many other streamers. Bottom line, don't trust your own eyes folks. The world's problems are not enough, Wizards want us to go absolutely crazy.
44:55 : Am I going insane or did the opponent only have one unknown card in hand before the Thought Erasure and then suddenly the revealed Forest became Great Henge?
There was a visual bug after they played Nissa's Triumph earlier. They got two lands from Nissa's Triumph, and the game correctly showed that they had two revealed lands in hand. Then they played one of those lands, but the game still showed that they had two revealed lands in hand, when it should have shown only one. This is the point at which the game started to incorrectly show a non-land card as a revealed land card.
Oh, it seems that MTGA glitched when the opponent played a Forest after the Nissa's Triumph. It mistakingly thought they still had both Forests. Weird bug.
I thought so too. So I looked back in the video: 43:42 opponent cast Nissa's Triumph (with two other cards in hand) 43:48 opponent cast Forest, but still showing 2 forests in hand. 44:16 opponent cast second Forest, still showing 1 forest in hand. Three cards left. 44:32 opponent cast Lovestruck Beast, showing one forest and one other card. 44:56 CGB casts thought erasure, showing great henge and hydra
Wtf happened at 44:54??!? opponent had two cards in hand one of them was a forest and then when you make them reveal their hand they somehow have two non-land cards? Did I miss something here?
Yeah thats really strange. Here's what I think happened: its a visual bug related to Nissa's Triumph. Opp has two other unknown cards in his hand when he casts Nissa's Triumph, getting two basic forests, showing two forests in hand + 2 unknown cards. Opp then plays one of the two forests, which should mean he only has one forest left showing in hand but instead he has two , meaning there's one unknown card showing up as a forest which we later learn isnt in fact a forest. (visual bug) This visual bug persists through opp's next turn when he casts Lovestruck Beast, only to be resolved by the Thought Erasure revealing the whole hand and getting rid of the visual bug. My interpretation anyway, good spot! Havent seen anything like that before.
You know your a worthy opponent to CGB when you force him to hard cast 2 shark typhoons in a row 😄😄 kudos to that guy Voondah for making it happen, it was glorious to watch
I've been playing a janky ramp deck with Liliana and Planewide Celebration, so for 13 mana I can cast *and* ultimate Liliana in the same turn. It's usually an on-the-spot win, and hella fun to play. Mu is good, but there are far better ways to get consistent card draw.
IDK if this is just me or arena glitching, but at 44:53, opponent has 2 cards in hand (revealing a forest, while the other is unknown). CGB plays thought erasure, and it shows a great henge and a voracious hydra are revealed in hand, and that forest just randomly disappeared. I was confused by that.
At 43:47 when the opponent plays the land for the turn it doesn't remove one of the shown cards. Thus making it seem like the Thought Erraser that is played later isn't as good as it could be.
I actually went and bought a second cheap laptop partially so I could play arena. Turns out it’s almost as bad as having to use an emulator or whatever that app I used was. Wish they’d have done this a year and half ago.
@2:43 Oh.My.God. I found him, and he's none other than CGB of course. Have you all noticed how every English Speaking content creator (The Professor, MtgMuddstah, TheCommandZone, and so many more from Standard I can't remember) ALWAYS FREAKING SAY "Negative One/Negative one" [counters, etc]? It grinds my gears!! Dudes, it's freaking ENGLISH. Opposite of "Plus" is "MINUS"!!! THEY ALL SAY "PUT A PLUS ONE/PLUS ONE COUNTER" but when they read "-1/-1" they say they full three syllables NE-GA-TIVE One counters. WHY? WHY DON'T THEY SAY "POSITIVE COUNTERS" then?!? Thank you CGB ! A guy who speaks correctly! Seriously though, I have even asked the Professor (well, he IS Prof of ENGLISH) and he hasn't answered.. If any of you can explain...
Been called a Cool Kid for starting until the end of a video with the third most popular guild (according to some quizzes) that also have Rankle, Lochmere Spent and some Flying Sharks to beat up after controlling the board does sounds amazing~
Seriously, you are firing on all cylinders. Please make more control deck videos, when I can tell when you're having more fun, I have more fun watching your video.
yes, just like any other sweeper. Anything that makes opp sacrifice a creature will also deal with it handily, my personal fave being Liliana's Triumph.
4 cages seems really excessive, I won't play more than 3. 4of are usually cards you want in multiples. The same is true for Mu Yanling, she is good, but unlike Teferi and Narset she doesn't replace herself, so not great in multiples. I would suggest Mystical subdual instead, it's very good vs mutate creatures, and can shut down priest and Mayhem devil pretty well. Also turns off Anax and Torbran for just 2 mana. Very underrated removal in my opinion. Brazen borrowers also work in its place, and can attack planeswalkers as well.
What I dont get in bo1 is that many rakdos sac decks play several claim the firstborn. But its almost a dead card in many matchups and it feels like in these low CMC decks every card really matters. So I could never motivate myself to play more than 2 cards that steal the opponents creatures during my runs with rakdos sac and even that felt like stretching it.
Yanling is worth crafting 2 of her. I don't think I have ever wanted to use more then 2 in a deck, but she will slow down games & protect herself if u find her too soon. I would say try crafting 2 of her in Blue/White or Blue/Black, if u play in them alot.
did anyone else notice that against mono green when cgb used thought erasure there was a forest and one other card before and after there was the great henge and the voracious hydra? what!!!! 44:55-45:00 I am so confused
Hi cgb and ty for your videos because its realy helpfull. Can you show a deck with dragons please because i realy want to have it. Dragons are my loves
Audio seems to phase out between your room sound and the game sound, that's why the music and effects sound so thin, but at least we can hear you loud and clearly... ;)
I am unreasonably upset that Sharknado was only cast as a cycle in this video. Partly because I love the effect, and partly because I hate cycle as a mechanic.
cgb i made a deck with underworld dreams Vilis, the broker and switcharoo. I challenge you to make a deck similar. Its a funny combo. For jank historic.
Pretty sure you missed lethal that 1st game on turn 4 by not playing blue black instead of mono red, other than that the gameplay was pretty clean. Jk-haven't even watched the video yet much love from me;)

CGB: "Never hard cast a shark typhoon"
Also CGB *slams 2 in a single game"
I like you, you little rebel!!
Do as I say not as I do.
I'm like "it's about time!"
only cowards cycle shark typhoon
Slamming it has won me more matches than it's made me lose.
@@sairentoeko facts, I got two decks that use it as a win con and they don't do half bad

15:50 "Let's slow this down" You have become one with Teferi!
43:42 Magic's magic. Observe:

rakdos deck that literally builds itself:
cgb: "that is probably my list"
It is his list though, I copied from his aetherhub and it had a random Sacred Foundry in it.
When my grandmother goes shopping, it's CGB's list.
i loved your start with the deck explaining, was super good
44:55 : Am I going insane or did the opponent only have one unknown card in hand before the Thought Erasure and then suddenly the revealed Forest became Great Henge?

"Lurrus, just another cat in an oven"
I just love seeing all the cat/oven decks getting shut down
Man I needed this today, thanks.
Reasons to watch cgb everyday... beautiful sarcasm... also minutes after his videos go up everyone in arena is playing his decks
Yes, CGB's sarcasm is delectable! Smooth and stronk!

CGB is an absolute beast!!!!!! You make mtg look easy lol
Interesting deck! Nice to see you playing magic and ranking up.
The “love” for Tefferri at 28:04 👍🤣👏
Is that the new shirt "magic is easy just draw what narset gives you" lol
I just started the video and I already love the deck.
You know your a worthy opponent to CGB when you force him to hard cast 2 shark typhoons in a row 😄😄 kudos to that guy Voondah for making it happen, it was glorious to watch
I'll always spare a like for Mu, she's one of my favourite planeswalkers that I can never make work!
Also Azorius Control opponents give me anxiety.
I've been playing a janky ramp deck with Liliana and Planewide Celebration, so for 13 mana I can cast *and* ultimate Liliana in the same turn. It's usually an on-the-spot win, and hella fun to play. Mu is good, but there are far better ways to get consistent card draw.

I just wanted to say that that I got that 38:15 Jurassic Park "Clever Girl" reference. That was subtle but I still got it
Double Shark Typhoon... ON THE FIELD.... mad lad
At 43:47 when the opponent plays the land for the turn it doesn't remove one of the shown cards. Thus making it seem like the Thought Erraser that is played later isn't as good as it could be.
at 44:57 before you cast Thought Erasure we can see that one of his two card is land but when it's revealed it was the tree
Just another cat in the oven. The cat can't come back......but the cat came back the very next day
I’m so excited for the release of mtga on Mac on Thursday, now I can finally try out some ideas I have!
I actually went and bought a second cheap laptop partially so I could play arena. Turns out it’s almost as bad as having to use an emulator or whatever that app I used was. Wish they’d have done this a year and half ago.
Nvidia GeforceNow supports MTG A. (pc/chrome/android/macos)
If you still use a mac in 2020 you're doing something wrong. Its not 2005 anymore.
Jeremiah Jensen lol what? You know Mac market share is twice as high now as it was in 2005?
This deck looks like a blast.
Yes
45:52 What the heck? That guy had a land on their hand and suddenly it changes when you use thought erasure
@2:43 Oh.My.God. I found him, and he's none other than CGB of course.

Very good young man.. You have just shattered those Rakdos Sacrifice players dreams.
"bolt the bird" -showing your age, CGB

Seriously, you are firing on all cylinders. Please make more control deck videos, when I can tell when you're having more fun, I have more fun watching your video.
Two videos in a row featuring two of my favorite underplayed three-mana planeswalkers acting like superstars. What's tomorrow? A Gideon deck?
This was really good. I started looking for ways to counter the damn animal abuse decks and this will help.
Cool deck! Love seeing Mu Yangling in action as a card we don’t see too often. Comment for the algorithm day 14
Extinction Event is an answer to Dream Trawler, right?
yes, just like any other sweeper. Anything that makes opp sacrifice a creature will also deal with it handily, my personal fave being Liliana's Triumph.
Wow that temur adventures deck hit 7 lands in a row
This is a really interesting deck! :D
"Or as we say on stream, hold onto your butts!"
Amazing deck CGB
With Narset on board, could you not pick both draw and discard on Rankle without the opponent getting anything? 33:15
No. The opponent had not yet drawn a card on CGB's turn.
Thanks CGB!
Nice Deck !!!
You might say I treated that too cautiously
To that I say winner winner chicken dinner 😂
nice love all decks that has a christine spranx in it
Where'd that Negate come from? When did that make it into the list?
4 cages seems really excessive, I won't play more than 3. 4of are usually cards you want in multiples.

I'm a simple man, I see Sky Dancer, I hit like.
is it possible to play workshop event with your friendlist?
Why you dont use Rankle draw a card with narset on board ?
HE SLAMMED THE SHARK
What I dont get in bo1 is that many rakdos sac decks play several claim the firstborn. But its almost a dead card in many matchups and it feels like in these low CMC decks every card really matters. First to watch it whole, def not lying.
Sounds like something that someone who didn’t watch it whole first would say
I've been running a similar theme deck but mine just dosnt let them have a graveyard or a hand or a field and it's esper
Yanling is worth crafting 2 of her. I don't think I have ever wanted to use more then 2 in a deck, but she will slow down games & protect herself if u find her too soon. I would say try crafting 2 of her in Blue/White or Blue/Black, if u play in them alot.
YOU CAST A SHARK TYPHOON!!!!!!
What happened at 45:00????
34:34 He doesn't have Absorb mana open
It'sa me. It'sa CGB!
Bestowal of the cool clue acquired
did anyone else notice that against mono green when cgb used thought erasure there was a forest and one other card before and after there was the great henge and the voracious hydra? what!!!! 44:55-45:00 I am so confused
is trueeee
Agonizing Remorse seems like it might be a better fit for this deck, considering you're worried about the graveyard
But we're not worried about the graveyard because of Grafdiggers cage and Lochmere serpent
Why would Azorious control run negate? Dovin's Veto is better.
Hi cgb and ty for your videos because its realy helpfull. Can you show a deck with dragons please because i realy want to have it. Dragons are my loves
I love Lochmere Serpent. I've been playing him a lot since it came out. I love him in my Dimir Flash and potentially paying or or two less for him
Audio seems to phase out between your room sound and the game sound, that's why the music and effects sound so thin, but at least we can hear you loud and clearly... ;)
great video!
I see Dimir, I like!
I am unreasonably upset that Sharknado was only cast as a cycle in this video. Partly because I love the effect, and partly because I hate cycle as a mechanic.
This looks like the dimir from megamowai but he used more 1 drop creatures to mill and into the history
1 of Unmoored Ego
1 of God Eternal Kefnet
Done deal for BO1, nice deck.
Is there a Content Pre-Release for the Upcoming M21?
It's tomorrow, but there's a protest against twitch going on so some streamers won't stream on Twitch
Hey i thought you could play some beacons cause you have definately enough planeswalkers to run 2-3 od these untappes lands and gaining some life
Dimir>All
Why the triome?
MORE JANK.
Cool Kids Club comment for the UA-cam engagement
Why is the in-game audio so bad?
cgb i made a deck with underworld dreams Vilis, the broker and switcharoo. I challenge you to make a deck similar. Its a funny combo. For jank historic.
What is on your tshirt? I cannot see because your silly name is in the way :D.
I’m a call kids club member... always watch until the end... #isAaronHere?
Cool t shirt 🍥
Can't you just use extinction event to kill the dream trawler? So its not useless :)
Russian community asks to add Russian subtitles. Thanks for your attention
Game audio has been weird the past two days
44:50 Interesting how a forest magically turns into a great henge/hydra... great bug MTGA/WOTC....
Ah, saw Nogger playing that same, boring toxic deck against Amazonian's jank earlier today. Great to experience that kill joy getting slapped.
CDXX = 420 in Roman numerals FYI 😉
Charing yourself is 6 to the face.
Pretty sure you missed lethal that 1st game on turn 4 by not playing blue black instead of mono red, other than that the gameplay was pretty clean.
Jk-haven't even watched the video yet
much love from me;)
*playing
Also, LXIX, nice! Lol
Ok I usually hate dimir ... but I really really like this deck ... maybe cuz of the hipster Mu Yanling😇😂😂
i like morrissey CGB more... :( ps. i mean that from a non-trollling perspective
Temples suck, the only place I would ever play them is in slow grindy standard decks where the mana kinda sucks anyway
