@@celinemarenco the worst thing you can do it's clogging up your voice you might sound normal when you sing but milk is really bad for your singing voice okay sucks to suck i would say sorry kid
Everything is right but about vocal fry and runs that’s an opinion!! You do not need to do riffs and vocal fry to sound like a good singer and especially in Musical Theatre (this video I’m guessing is on topic of MT) they usually say to not use them unless it’s a stylistic thing because it will take away from the feeling of song and character and over complicate the song. Basically it becomes more about how you sound than the meaning of the song. Don’t get into the habit of doing too many vocal gymnastics anyway that’s the difference between a good singer and a bad singer, being able to know when less is more and when to go for it!! Tbh the vocal fry thing can make you sound slightly average unless it’s a natural thing and you pick the right places!! Otherwise you’ll just sound like you’re trying to impersonate a pop singer!! Hope this doesn’t sound abrupt, the best thing you can do is train your voice as relaxed as possible and find YOUR voice not an interpretation of someone else’s, if vocal fry and riffs are what you do best then that’s great, just learn when to do it and not to, they are like sprinkles, a little is delicious but to many is too much!! If riffing isn’t your thing, keep practising the riffs but it’s so great to be able to sing simple and not overload the song and you will impress more people on a panel in auditions I PROMISE!! *Feel before you squeal*

This is an amazing warm up! 1. Makes me realize how much work my voice needs (yikes), but 2. Hello Anna et al. This is an update. Since starting with Verba in mid July 2017, I just CANNOT believe how many strides I have made. Through the tests, I found I was Mezzo as I have mentioned before, but my range in both registers have extended SO MUCH now, that I have even "broken into" light opera! I love to sing Songbirds, O Mio Babbino Caro, Ave Maria. Not sure of all the meanings, being in latin, but I get the gist! I just cannot thank you enough. I have reached heights I would never have believed possible, and singing, along with daily practices, is like a drug for me now. I have cut down on the caffeine, and I never drink alcohol, but I always have a mug of warm lemon and honey water by me. If you ever want to use my name for recommendations, I wouldn't be able to say enough good about you all. Kindest regards. xx
Hey, Anna, Mark and Nathaniel. Another thing I love about this particular video - that is the fact that there is no stopping between the exercises. Because it is continuous, it MAKES you breathe properly, and also gives you that vital energy required. I always like to pair this video up with the "Switching between chest and head voice". Awesome as usual. Kindest regards to you all xx

Hi Anna and Mark. This is where I have now reached, having used your site since mid July 2017 - I did a concert for our local Telethon charity event on the 14th October. There was just me providing the entertainment. It was an afternoon "do" and there was a celebration lunch. Anyway, I sang intermittently from 1pm to just after 5pm. I began with Musical Theatre songs, and later sang some easy listening "get up and go" songs, mostly 60s to early 70s. As people eventually started dispersing, my friend and "manager" as I have titled her (!) (she set it all up for me to sing) asked me to sing Phantom of the Opera as it is her favourite. I obliged of course. My voice held out even though I sang 12 songs in total but I suppose that was down to resting in between. When we arrived back home, my throat was absolutely fine, and I was only physically fatigued. So I think there is another well deserved THANK YOU due to both of you for getting me to the stage I am at. As usual, kindest regards xx

Hey, I'm a London actor and was wondering is there a way I could buy these warmups from Tom to practice at home as these really work for me!
+Nat Elliott-Ross Hi Nat, not currently but it is something we're looking into!
Love all of them!!! Specially the Tay-uh and the Bella senora!
+Giannina Narvaez Thank you! I like those exercises too! :-)
Giannina Narvaez My favorites too! 😁
I've been using your Westend vocal warmup 3 times a week for many years, I have been able to reach high pitch and low pitch notes which now I'm able to reach, that in the past I was unable to attain. I use it before I perform in concerts before any audience. BEST WISHES Brian Lexus
