I was so excited to find your channel. I have applied and been accepted to start classes at Chamberlain Cleveland in September! I can not wait to watch your video on the review of your classes. Thank you so much for posting this video. Looking forward to seeing your Journey! Half way There!
Half way there! I’m excited for you! Thank you for posting these videos. They are super helpful. I am currently a middle school teacher switching careers to nursing. I applied to Chamberlain and I have to stay on top of my advisor as well. But I hope to get that phone call this week! 😁 Your videos are awesome! I really appreciate all of the information.
You’re welcome love! I know I was confused as heck with Chamberlain’s process when I was figuring it out. I am so happy these videos are helping. 🤗 and awww you already have that nurturing and patient side that will help you succeed even more as a middle school teacher. Good luck on your app!
MelisaMarie I’m in!!! Yay I’m so excited! I transferred in a lot of credits like you with my previous degree so this will go by fast. On to NP school after that. I’m so glad you have this channel. I had very few questions for the student advisor after getting a lot of the information from you first.
Britney Hey Britney! I am a teacher transitioning into nursing as well. It is so neat to meet fellow teachers that are planning on making career changes just like I am. I took my prerequisites at a community college and hoping to start August 31st.
@@MelisaMarie Quick question; during the application process, how did your previous gpa weigh against your hesi score? I've attended college in the past, but I have some gaps and some not so good grades; what happens if I do EXTREMELY well on the hesi? Can my score have more of an impact if my grades are years old?
Yes, they transferred in 28 credits but ignored 16 credits in courses that I received both A's and B's. I am glad I watched this video because I am challenging them now!!!
I have heard horrible things about Chamberlain’s reputation. I’m in Atlanta, can you share good news about the people you are seeing and interacting with. Are folks graduating and getting jobs?
i am going on my senior year in high school next year and i am thinking about going to chamberlain in fall next year but i am not sure if i can go there straight out of high school because i recently realized that a lot of people going there are older people who are either married or with kids or both and people with previous knowledge in nursing
Hello! You can definitely go straight out of high school. There is no restriction there. However, I would recommend taking a year to do prereqs at a community college and save at least 25,000$. No need to get into more debt than you need to! Good luck, dear.
MelisaMarie hi I’m a high schooler too and plan on going to Chamberlain. I have a 2.6 gpa rn and just plan on getting my associate degree at nursing first before getting my BSN. But I’m very stuck, is there any advice you can give me?
I think getting your associates first is a great idea! Have you identified why your GPA is resting under 3.0? Some ADN/ASN programs have a 2.75/3.0/3.25 requirement. What city are you in? Im happy to support you making your decisions, if you have insta I can reach out quicker on there xoxo
It’s really up to how lenient your advisor will be. But It’s technically required to take the HESI 2-5 days after applying. That’s the official “rule” but I know they were pushing for 48-72 hours when I applied here in Atlanta, for sure. I ended up taking it two weeks later because I had an extenuating circumstance (flew out to London).
Such a good video !!! Just sent in all my transcripts and information over waiting to hear back from my advisor. Hoping to get into the Miramar campus loved your video!
So if you went to a school before chamberlain (a CC or University) do you need to have a degree or can you transfer before you complete it? Also, I’m confused about the prereqs. You don’t need them or?
Basically all of the non-nursing courses, and transitions and evidenced based for nursing. If you look at the degree plan, you’ll know what non-nursing courses are (without NR)
Thank you for your videos. Question: Were you able to speak direct5to the registrar? Because I'm running into a similar ussue6of Chamberlain not recognizing some of the credits I took elsewhere, but my admissions counselor insists on been the middle man on it.
I had that happen they made an exception and waived it. That's after I attempted to get my correct transcripts etc from brightwood college. So just keep communication open. I also got accepted.
Did you have to take the Math Placement test after getting accepted? If so, what are your suggestions to ace and/or do good at it. I'm taking mine on Sunday. Any suggestions might help!
I didn’t take any math at chamberlain, because I have so many in my transcript. One of my previous classes transferred in (whether it was calculus, algebra, geometry.... etc). I would say see if you can find a syllabus to see what topics they are covering in that class and then do practice equations on those to brush up. Make sure you know the standard formulas and graphing. I can’t speak for anything else since I haven’t experienced it myself. I’m sorry!
I asked an old classmate for one, and I asked the professors from the previous school for one. And otherwise I had them in my emails and stuff, I just search hard for them. Usually if you get in contact with the school, they should be able to produce the exact syllabus for you, it just might take a lil while. They keep those things archived.
Not completely sure but I would Say just the start of the program. It’s been just the one time. 🤷🏾♀️ it’s possible they could randomly drug test but I’ve never heard of that from any graduates.

Yaaay. Congratulations lovely! 🤗 I have a bunch of chamberlain review videos lined up so hopefully they help.

I have not went to college at all. I’m thinking of chamberlain , do they have evening nursing school ?
Yup, they have night and weekend programs at most locations.
Your videos are so helpful 😭. I just applied to Chamberlain’s Atlanta campus and I plan to start in September.
Yay!! Good luck dear, let me know when you hear back. 💕
@Dennise Booker I’m just planning to move to Atlanta for my nursing school at Chamberlain’s 😭😭
I’m looking at starting in January after reviewing some reviews first.
Let me know if you have any direct questions!

Yay!! You should hear back soon then. 🙏🏾

Yes! Present them with the syllabi and see! It’s no guarantee but I wouldn’t take the first no for an answer.
Im doing the same , challenging them because I have my associates degree in general education and I am an LPN. Good luck everyone!
I have heard horrible things about Chamberlain’s reputation. I’m in Atlanta, can you share good news about the people you are seeing and interacting with. Are folks graduating and getting jobs?
Where are you hearing this information from? I’ve heard nothing but good things and I’ve interacted with more graduates than I can mention.

I’m also applying at the Miramar campus 😉 Good luck !
I’m all in Miami thinking about it, how much is the program?
@Valentina @ liz did you guys get accepted

No, I had to speak through my advisor always. I would call and send emails but it always came back down to utilizing my advisor.
I had that happen they made an exception and waived it. That's after I attempted to get my correct transcripts etc from brightwood college. So just keep communication open. I also got accepted.
I applied for the Sacramento Chamberlain campus!! They put my file on hold to be looked at again so I don’t know if I’ll be able to get in :(
I’m sorry love. 😕 did they say why it was placed on hold? Is there anything you could do to expedite it?
MelisaMarie no they didn’t say anything, all I can do is wait right now but I hope I will be accepted!! And thank you so much for your reply

@@MelisaMarie I did take advanced algebra and statisticss so I don't know why I have to take it.
Yeah, that’s very strange. Did you get As or Bs in those courses?
@@MelisaMarie As for both but thank you for responding. I can't wait to see you graduate and be an RN!! :)
Hey, thanks for your helpful video. How did you get your syllabus from previous school? I was tryna do that but I couldn’t find syllabus in my file
I asked an old classmate for one, and I asked the professors from the previous school for one. And otherwise I had them in my emails and stuff, I just search hard for them. Usually if you get in contact with the school, they should be able to produce the exact syllabus for you, it just might take a lil while. They keep those things archived.
So biology classes and chem class is not required before getting into chamberlain?
Correct. There are no prerequisites.
How often does chamberlain drug test you?
Not completely sure but I would Say just the start of the program. It’s been just the one time. 🤷🏾♀️ it’s possible they could randomly drug test but I’ve never heard of that from any graduates.
does fasfa aid help alot?
For some people, it can be helpful. It will not cover 100%. I am not using any federal aid for Chamberlain though.
Is Hesi required to get into Chamberlin
Thank you🙌
How much is the program?
Depends on how many credits you bring in! Can range from 40-90k.
