He probably carried on the Scotch-Irish ways going back 200 years beforehand! Nah, I know Walter Brennan was an actual Irishman from Massachusetts. But 1941 Hollywood was mostly ignorant of the backwoods Appalat culture back then.
just thinking about how long those folks had been praying for that miracle to happen
These were the good days in the USA.
