Your tone, touch, always so great! Thanks so much Eric!
A lot of great artists are sharing and getting up close with people all over the world.. Eric is one of the best ever and how lucky are we to be able to watch him do these every week!
one of the best no doubt
Tone is so good I just laughed out loud! Incredible sounds!!
Dude i watch these videos just to hear his tone
ANDY EFFFING WOOD!!! YOU AIN'T TO SHABBY YOURSELF!!! BUT WHY DO YOU PLAY THOSE SHUR STRAT KNOCK-OFFS, BRO???
@@LadyCroMag doesnt matter.play what you want.come off that brand name bs.overpriced big time.besides it's the driver not the car.eric can have a glarry set up by his tech stock and kill it.
@Apollo Music imagine being so stupid to think that you can’t tell that this tone is incredible even though it was recorded on a phone.
@Thomas Grey not the vintage fenders that they are inspired by or the fender custom shop 😉
Thanks you Eric for sharing you playing wisdom and human compassion with us once again.
What a master class thanks Eric👍🏻
love your vids!
@@wannaberabbi9302 thank you!
i bet you got nothing new out of that
@@chuckcrunch1 everyone's got an opportunity to learn even more, even Mathew
Am I the only one who would love to hear Ej on a metal track? I'm a metal guitarist, but Eric is definitely the player I most wish I could emulate for lead stuff
I have a surprise for you friend :) ua-cam.com/video/NmP9aRHg4WI/v-deo.html (almost metal at least)
Chris Poland comes closest you can get
It is interesting that he says stretch. It actually makes sense.
Or does it? I stretch after my runs.
Bending is more used. I am okay with stretching too.
Vibrato is very personal in guitar playing. Invariable how fast or slow it is. Or how wide.
Another amazing lesson. I've been trying to do the no thumb on the neck vibrato for awhile.
I started listening to Eric religiously as of late, and I'm so glad I did! My playing has improved by leaps and bound trying to emulate his playing. Thanks for doing this, Eric!
You're an excellent human being and guitar player
Majority of these comments are about guitar and tone but the food bank comments at the end are the strongest words to ever come out of a musicians mouth. I have personally seen friends dig through trash bins at my old middle school for food (CHILDREN of ALL ethnicities) . anything helps guys..... 1 quarter might be nothing to those reading this but that quarter is a fortune to the unfortunate that are silhouettes to us..... walk next to us... reside and act like nothing is wrong next to OUR children..... thank you for those words dude !
Thank you Eric. You are so kind and generous. I appreciate your comment on local food banks.
Hi Eric, your vibrato sounds great, soulful! Have a blessed week!
Thank you so much Eric, your live "Trademark" video is so inspiring!
Received my DVD of "Total Electric Guitar" last night. Have loved your playing since "Ah Via Musicom" released when I was 11.
Thank You Eric, at local Kroeger store here Oregon, when you are done checking out the cashier will ask you would you like to round up to the next dollar to go to the local food bank, and a lot of people are very willing to do so, and its generated thousands of dollars. I always give thinking you know I may need that some day.
I could listen to EJ's improv all day
wow....let me hold a few cameras for you. Good call on the food banks, we all need to eat. And you need a volunteer, with 3 cameras on tripods, to help you out. But great job, you're a wonderful man, a great ear for good music. And it is wonderful that you're thinking of others, in so many ways. Thank you so much. Even when I don't play along, I feel blessed to just hear your wandering around on the guitar. You are an inspiration !
This is Awesome! Its so weird to see such an amazing classic guitarist teach his legendary riffs years later. Thank you Eric, for your wonderful music.
EJ... You are the truth when it comes to creativity in sonic motion. Thanks for teaching your journey. I’m blessed knowing your sound.
Thank you for these lessons
Wow, nice sound efx n scales.. Best stretching tech
Yay another mini EJ video! Thanks Eric
Your attack on the fretboard there is no words .JEFF Geeslin

Love you, Eric! Living legend with us and not fogetting those less fortunate.

I always tought you were a really underrated guitarist and when i first heard cliffs of dover on gh3 i was stunned
Now my respect for you grew even bigger when i saw tgat if we enjoyed the lesson that we consider donating to people in need
Nothing but respect to you Mr Johnsonn
Thank you, Eric, for sharing your knowledge and wisdom. Your lessons are fantastic, super helpful, and draw attention to a useful cause. You have been making a significant difference in peoples' lives in so many ways. I can only speak for myself, but hearing the Tones album changed my life. Your sounds, your lyricism, and these beautiful songs have been inspiring me since the mid-80s. Saw you in Hamburg in the early 90s and was fortunate enough to listen to the soundcheck and interview you. That certainly was a major highlight, too. Oh, and I finally figured out that the kind of 9V battery actually DOES make a tonal difference, esp. in Wah and Fuzz, as you have been saying all along ;) Greetings and much love from Germany.
Thx. Eric for these lessons and all the amazing music of yours I've been enjoying since the mid 80s. Did a food donation thx to you! Take care!
Thank you Eric for this lesson. i hope to see you once on stage in the netherlands. you are one of a kind.
Great, looking forward for more lessons :D That guitar tone is priceless. 👍✌🎶
My lord , so great. I saw you w Roscoe Beck on bass in Poughkeepsie NY 10 yrs ago plus. Monster player then and now. Thanks for these. Great content

If I can be even 1% like Eric, I've satisfied my goal as a musician. This man's music soothes my birds, I'm not joking!

Secrets from the master. Love this guy
WOW, pointers from the legend, thanks EJ bro, practicing this right now! Aloha from Hawaii!
Nice one Eric. What a tone !!!
These mini lessons are terrific little motivators!
Lots of wisdom in these lessons. Learn all the notes on the fretboard being #1. I am hoping you make a lesson on how you developed your right hand and left hand speed and accuracy. I bet I'm not the only one.
What a legend
Thank you inspiring me to play my guitar and will be making donation. Thanks again

The real lesson starts at 2:49 Thanks a lot Eric for reminding us what's really important and give us some little great tips for our gtr playing
Really great!
my master!!!!
Thanks EJ
Your playing is so good in every aspects, melody, techniques and everything.. Vibrato makes the phrases singing ♥️
I love these mini lesson Eric! Vibrato is something that is often overlooked... Instead does so much!
That tone man...
I got more out of this 3 min video than the dozens of hour-long instructional VHS videos I paid for in the 1990's.
you're joking right
Eric-Thanks so much for giving back to your fans.
Thank you! Love learning your technique.
Thanks Eric! Appreciate the tips again!👍

Legend!!
THANX ERIC!!! COME TO GEORGIA AGAIN!!
Been waiting!
Hello Eric just found your channel, am a great fan was listening to Manhattan the other day just a superb song
Grande grande chitarrista. Saluti by Milano Italy.
Holy shit! Your the man
thank you eric
Great tone man!
Thanks!!!
Thanks Eric for posting !!!!!!!
Awesome, still your fan
I'm not sure what fascinates me the most: how great his bends sound or how he can simply play a note and have it sound marvellous without any bending or vibrato at all. How does one do that?!
Thats a good question. I think its just the person. The fingers themselves are conduits for what is the collective soul and heart in a player. The notes are brought to life by this and nothing but this.
Eric Johnson could make a tennis racquet plugged into a waffle iron sound amazing.
I like that strap man!
That sounds so killer
well to me , It is like lesson 3000, ! and Thats a good thing ,but i cant play any of it ! thanks Eric !!!!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
You're a good dude, Eric. :)
Eric...that elusive vibrato...Been trying to figure out how you do it for a long time now! I had the video go in 0.25 speed and noticed that your vibrato is quite wide, about 1.25 step. I am not a pro, but I believe your vibrato is so elegant and gives me one more reason to love your beautiful guitar tone. Also, thank you fso much for posting these videos and asking people to donate during those hard times.
Muito obrigado! Grande mestre!
