How to use iDrive: Creating a Disk Image Backup

Is there a way of only creating a cloud disc image and not a local image? If not, why not?

So if your boot drive dies, how do you do a restore using iDrive? Do you boot with a USB stick or CD like Acronis to do the restore once the dead HDD has been replaced?

So I did this, but when I replaced my new ssd and turned on my computer, it said no boot files could be found. Does iDrive not clone the boot drives?
