    CORRECTION - All the Kob caught in this video are Dusky Kob and not Silver Kob as stated in the video. The correct size limit for this fish is minimum 60cm and a maximum of one fish can be taken per day.

    Dankie vir die video ! Very interesting, the sandy ! So it's not necessary to immediately pull off the skin, to prevent ammonia seeping into the flesh ?

    I catch these all the time, released one around 2kg just yesterday didn't know they are good to eat or to use for shark bait, how do you use them for bait, would it work if i use chunks from the meat also as i don't eat fish just catch and release mostly or give to my mum and she doesn't eat shark or skate

      The big jobs are the ones that do the breeding smaller kobs we generally keep

    • @frannafishing6420
      @frannafishing6420 5 років тому +4

      Hi Shauib, yes we release the bigger fish as they are our breeding stock. Its okay to keep a smaller fish. Also the smaller ones eat better

    • @shuaibjacobs5376
      @shuaibjacobs5376 5 років тому

      @@frannafishing6420 true, but the bigger ones gives more meat

    • @jacquesdelaharpe804

      Shuaib Jacobs You are missing the point. If we kill the big breeding stock there will less smaller fish to continue the cycle. If it is about filling your stomach go to the closest KFC and order that big family bucket.
