I own a VHP. Excellent watch. They do wear large. Your concern about the bracelet is in founded. The half links ensure a perfect fit. The “crown issue” is not an issue at all. Consider yourself lucky if the screw down crown ever aligns. This rarely, if ever, aligns on all watches and should not even be considered in a review.
Bracelet is really difficult to be adjusted perfectly. Check the size of the half link. It's huge. It cannot be sized perfectly for variety of wrists. If your Longines conquest fits you 100% you are so lucky. For most of people this watch will wear too loose or too tight. Misaligned crown doesn't bother me but it should be included in review because a lot of people care about details. In more expensive watches even screw down crown is alligned
I do like Longines and have a Flagship quartz and Heritage Conquest automatic myself. Very fine watches for not a huge amount of money. This Conquest quartz would be perfect for me if it were not so big and chunky. With slim 6.5 inch wrists anything larger than 38-39mm diameter is unlikely to fit well and the lug-to-lug more or less guarantees it. A shame, as it is stylish and the blue dial looks great.

I have the VHP conquest on a rubber strap with butterfly clasp that has 5 holes of micro adjustment. 3 on one side and 2 on the other. Which works perfect for quick adjustment. Dial has same applied indices with lume and is an excellent watch. I agree with other comments on the crown lining up like we all would prefer. Haven't seen one that does. None of my automatics do, even on one's 5 times the price of the Conquest. I almost went with the model you have but went with the VHP for the accuracy of +/- 5 seconds per year. Downside is it only has 50m water resistance compared to the 300m on your model. I don't get my watches soaking wet so it wasn't a concern. Enjoy your timepiece it's a good looking watch! Cheers
Love this watch. One thing I don't understand is why do these brands put such long lugs on these watches? Seiko really minimizes the lugs on their watches, and this seems to make the watches fit better, not as much gap from a strap, and in my opinion the case just looks better.
Longines very often uses long lugs. Too long in my opinion. That's why beside of that watch in the video I have Seiko sharp edge. It fits much better :) You can check it out on my channel.

Hey mate! Longines conquest with the blue dial has no lume on indexes as well as on the hands, if you want to have lume you have to buy black dial version with lume on indexes and hands. I was talking about that in the video check 2:23 minute

They make the Hydroconquest quartz in 39mm. I have one. I too wish they did the Conquest quart in 39mm.

They don't make the 39mm Conquest in quartz, but they do have the Hydroconquest 39mm quartz.

I have the 39mm automatic and love it. My wrist is 7 inches and the 39 fits perfectly. I got lucky with the half links for a comfortable fit.

Old black version had applied metal markers, the newest version has lume but not metal. Probably you have found old version.
